B&Bs are all about charm and the fun of meeting friendly people. This place is definitely top on the list to revisit. The room was quaint and rustic, full of NM charm. The owners were very cordial and accommodating. The breakfast was outstanding! With it being at the center of Taos, you couldn't ask for a better spot to visit all that the town has to offer. We thought the price was more than fair for an anniversary getaway.

Lovely room, fabulous jacuzzi, quiet & super comfortable. The bed felt hard when I got in but I slept so good on it. Amenities were microwave, fridge, coffee & tea plus all the regular stuff like shampoo, etc. Price of the room was very affordable. Lee Ann was adorable, friendly, helpful, funny & very kind. A perfect romantic getaway & away from all that crazy traffic in Taos. Highly recommend!

2nd visit to American Artists Gallery Bed & Breakfast. On a quiet street in South side of Taos. We stayed in a Jacuzzi room with a king bed, loft for the walk in shower/bathroom/Jacuzzi. Had small refrigerator and microwave, sink. LeAn and Charles are welcoming hosts and can offer you a great dinner or lunch recommendation, as well. Breakfast is wonderful and fresh- one morning we had blue corn waffles with blueberry sauce and sausage and another was a breakfast burrito, and also pumpkin spice pancakes. Everything is delicious. Room was quiet and with prior arrangement we were able to bring our Shih Tzu dog. There are resident cats on the grounds. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return!

Came to Taos for a relaxing weekend with our dog. The B & B was the best. Warm and hospitable inn keepers....great breakfasts and charming Southwest room with plush towels, robes and comfortable bed. We are planning a return later this fall. 5 stars!

LeAn is so nice. Gave a full on walk through. She has a binder full of local restaurants. Gave us tips about where to hike. She is very friendly. The room is GORGEOUS!! The view is breathtaking! The jacuzzi tub is so nice. The bed is on the firm side, but not awful. 10 out 10 would recommend!!

I stayed in the casita at American Artists for 4 days with 12 others during a painting workshop. Proprietors LeAn and Charles treated us as family and fed us wonderful breakfasts. At our request they also provided lunches for our group. The meals were abundant, creative and delicious. I told Charles, our chef, that he had ruined me for "real life".Our casita was comfortable for 4, artistic and quirky (the fireplaces came in handy and were cozy). Other accomodations that I saw ranged from lovely to downright luxurious. I can't emphasize too much how warm and welcoming everyone was. Even George the peacock put up with our cameras (men should respect his space though, he's friendlier to women). The location was an inspiring one, great for this workshop or for anyone visiting Taos.

It was an okay experience, but not higher end b&b as you might expect from the price. Don't be surprised if your room has no WiFi, and there are very apparent cleanliness issues related to staff, kitchen, and all the animals.

Cozy, quaint and affordable. Friendly hosts not overbearing. Fresh delicious homemade breakfasts. Off the beaten path, but short drive to the plaza.

Yelp
Really great. When I travel I like a balance of privacy and community. This B & B was the perfect balance. B & B's can feel too crammed for me. Here, there are separate entrances to the rooms and a common space. I am 6'8" so I need some space. LeAn and Charles were wonderful. It was fun to eat breakfast with the other guests and then head out for the day. Since I love to walk, I must have hiked down to Taos proper about ten times. The sidewalk aren't great and there is a lot of traffic out on the main drag. So, most visitors will need to drive to town unless you are a little nuts like me. Taos is a cool town and a great place to land. This B & B was a cool nest to rest my bones, eat a lovely breakfast, and then to do my thing. There are supermarkets in a walkable distance. Just have to get across the very busy highway.

Yelp
LeeAnne and Charles were consummate hosts! The atmosphere is serene and perfect to unwind and immerse yourself in the spirit of Taos. The breakfast was homemade with care, plentiful and delicious. Next time we're in the SW we'll stay here again. Make sure you say hello to the pet peacock George who struts about during breakfast.

Yelp
This was our first experience at a B&B. I wasn't sure what to expect. American Artists Gallery lies just outside of town on a dirt road that faces the mountains. It is picturesque and quiet. The B&B offers a small little cottage called the Garden Gallery that happened to also be the cheapest so we went with that. Small indeed, but it did the job. We were out an about most of the time anyway, so who needs a whole lot of space? There was a small queen bed pushed against the wall. There was a traditional kiva fire that you can burn wood in seasonally. The shower was pretty big and open. There was no tub however. I liked that there were a few windows that could be opened and allowed for fresh air. The TV worked and there was also a coffee maker and mini fridge in the cottage. Other rooms are larger and have more impressive amenities if that's your thing. They all have private outdoor entrances. There is a relaxing common area with a computer, TV, and a large selection of books and readings on local happenings. There was always fresh lemonade and ice tea avaliable as well as cookies in the common kitchen area. Outside of the large dining area is a small hot tub that wreaked of chemicals, we did not venture in! Our experience was great. The owner was so kind to us, he knew we had never done the B&B thing before. We had also never been to Taos. His knowledge of this town and surrounding areas was impressive. He helped us choose a dinner destination and also a few galleries to hit up. He also gave us some tips on things to do outside of town. He also introduced us to the resident peacock, dogs, and cats that wander on and off the grounds. The breakfast was delish! We had peach stuffed french toast that was to die for. The peaches tasted as thought they were just picked off the tree. We also had fresh squeezed juice and a variety of sides. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the B&B and will return for sure. I am curious to try more B&B's after this experience but fear that it won't compare to this. Perhaps if I could compare this to other B&B's I could give it 5 stars. You might see an update in the future! (I hope anyway)

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the American Artists Gallery House B &B during November 2015. We returned to New Mexico to visit some of the historical sites: Taos Pueblo, Kit Carson's House, Ghost Ranch (Georgia O'Keeffe Studio) various State Parks. We also enjoyed all the great New Mexico food. Loved the Pinon Nuts and Hatch Chili's. LeAnn gave us some wonderful hints on where to visit and eat. Charles whipped up a GREAT breakfast every morning. Never repeating the same menu. Each and everyone was just as delicious. The room was a good size and decorated in the South West motif. The fireplace small, but charming. Fun Time!

Yelp
Our stay at this B and B was entertaining and unique. Charles was the best host and chef. He provided us with great details about what to see in Taos and the surrounding areas including maps and menus where to eat. He made us feel at home. The breakfasts were fantastic. We enjoyed our room which was right off the main living room! The decor was beautiful and the details in decorating the room made the room unique. George and Frankie made our stay enjoyable too.
