A place for cotton clothing with unique designs. The material is so soft and comfortable that I can’t resist visiting to check out new styles. If you haven’t tried American Eagle clothing yet, don’t hesitate—make sure to visit wherever they have a store.

Great selection. Cute clothes. Reasonable price. Just as other AE stores are. There was a staff who told us that Stovepipe means "buy one get one 50% off" of jeans. So I said "it's not a type of jeans?" and she said "no, it's a pricing for jeans." That was really odd.

Google
Fantastic store.. If you have purchased and used American eagle before then you will definitely visit this outlet. Their apparels are good, trendy and affordable. They have a wide variety of products to offer and also has great offers at time. Staff were friendly and approachable. Overall, a good place to shop and very conveniently located too right at the time square.

Google
The store is neat, the staff are friendly, and the prices are reasonable. But the men's department is only a small room in the basement. I came in to pick up some jeans, but could only find 2 pairs in my size. I think the 34th st location is better stocked

I bought at Aerie upstairs and they were so friendly and sweet. Their communication was very calm and honest, their outfits were cute. I am especially satisfied with experience of fitting room. It is easy to imagine how busy that shop nearby Times Square, so I guess they are extremely well-trained and very nice kind!!!!

The staff are so friendly and chill and helpful, it’s a pleasure to shop here. A breath of fresh air compared to the other brand stores in the area.

Yelp
Came to pick up an online order and they were kind enough to let me try on in store to make sure it fit! It wasn't too busy when I walked in so I was able to get in and out of the fitting rooms quickly. Seems like a pretty large store but didn't spend any time browsing.

Maricruz C.

Yelp
Elevator does not work - it has 3 floors , men's section had the best deals. Employees were def attentive to customers , sucks that they only have one cash register on the main floor

Cyndi C.

Yelp
This is a review of the American Eagle Clothing Company - do NOT get a credit card!! I have been a loyal customer for years, never missing a payment and making purchases regularly. I just recently booked a couple of vacations - so of course, the balance on my credit cards will be a bit high for the next 2-3 months. American Eagle decided to reduce my credit limit by $1,500 in 1 month!!! This is not because I was not paying my bill, not because of late payments but because my credit score has (temporarily) gone down. In fact, they reduced my credit line to how much I owe!!! I will pay this card off and then close the account - this is not how to treat a loyal customer!!

Yelp
A very large clothing store in the heart of Times Square! This aerie location is large covering two floors. Clean and well organized with employees constantly stocking on the lower level. They also have fitting rooms with buzzers if you need help from an associate. Registers available on both floors. They carry clothing and accessories for men and women. Everything from jeans, tops, intimates, to jewelry & sunglasses. Seemed to carry low stock on medium sizes, but lots of large sizes. I guess small and medium are popular sizes that sell out. Employees noted they can also order items online and have them shipped home if not available in the store. Higher priced and seem to cater to teens and young adults. They have an escalator to reach the second floor. No public restrooms. Seemed like employees didn't know store hours as I got differing times. I was finally told the sign outside the store had accurate hours. Located on 46th & Broadway, it is right near the Times Square red steps and into the center of action.

Yelp
I do love the store, clean and well organized but thought it my trip at least 2 sales people offered me baskets, dressing rooms, or to hold my items at the register. the First Lady seemed sweet and genuine but the other lady was pushing me getting a basket (asking multiple times, insisting my arms most be tired)...it felt very aggressive and like I was being accused of something.

Kathryn M.

Yelp
This store has limited locations in New York City and having to come downtown to find out that the men department is closed was annoying especially since the closed the location in Fordham and Harlem.
google avatar

Fox E.

Yelp
Not to be confused with Australian Iggy which is something very different. Something that looks quite different to the way it sounds, shall we say. Despite both being somewhat, well, fabricated? I'm not a fan of American Eagle and this one in Manhattan has particularly questionable service and is very much all about the security. They don't have particularly good deals especially compared to some of the souvenir shops nearby. You can get much cheaper stuff at outlet malls but there aren't any in Manhattan LOL.

Yelp
American Eagle Outfitters on Broadway is a grand tourist attraction. It's more like an event than clothes shopping. I have purchased their clothes in the past when they have a good sale. I found they didn't hold up. There's definitely plenty of merchandise in here. It's one of the few American Eagle Stores that hasn't closed. I am sure I'll return when I'm in the mood to rub elbows with the tourist crowds. The customer service is good with friendly employees. If you like this clothing chain you'll love this huge location.

Yelp
I had not intended to go jacket shopping here in NYC ; and not in a shop that we have at home but I needed a new jacket! I noticed the women here were all wearing what we used to call"puffy, ski" jackets so being in the fashion capital of America I thought I'd just look! I found this jacket that was half puffy and not so warm I would not wear in Fl so we decided to buy it, $89. When we went to check out Nitro (our very helpful clerk) went to ring up and came up $35.98! Helloooooo ...score!

Crystal C.

Yelp
While shopping in a Time Square we visited American Eagle. The clothing is great as always! However our customer service experience during checkout with Sandia was alarmingly rude. I've never experienced trying to pay for purchases and experience the customer service person refuse to give me a bag and throw away a paper bag I had that disintegrated due to the weather. Get her off the register she is vile!
google avatar

Yelp
Giving two stars instead of one because the sales associates are lovely. First of all, pre-pandemic, this location used to be much bigger. But my primary issue is that I came here to buy a pair of jeans. I guess I didn't notice in the store because I was surrounded by the smell, but when I got home, I realized the jeans smelled terribly of chlorine (I don't think they have choline in them, but that's the closest comparison I can make). I had never experienced that with clothing before, so I put them through the wash TWICE and they somehow smell worse, while nothing else in either load of laundry I did with them smells. I looked online and apparently this is a normal issue with American Eagle jeans these days, and no one has a real solution on how to remove the smell. These jeans are a complete waste to me if they smell so terribly that I can't wear them anywhere. I used to be a big American Eagle fan pre-pandemic, but I'm never returning if this smell can't be removed.

Yelp
I love American Eagle as this is about the only place I can get clothes that fit my petite male self. While in NY I needed a belt so as we were in Times Square we saw this location and was happy to peruse. Once we stpeed in, we had to go downstairs to the Men's department. There was a group of employees standing around talking so I had to go up and ask where the belts were located. A very nice young man showed us the belts and told us about the sale that they were having. I picked a belt and got in line for my purchase. There was one male cashier that took forever to ring customers up. While we were waiting a female employee came up eating something, possibly her lunch. She went to a register, still eating, and mumbled something then looked at me. She said something again I could barely understand so I asked if she is checking me out and she said, "Yea". She rang me up and gave me a total. I asked about my Rewards Card, or whatever account I have, and she said, "Put your number in". Just so sweet and understanding...NOT. On the way out, I spotted a pair of jeans I wanted, but after experiencing the hungry, un-friendly cashier vs the talkative casher, I decided I would rather experience the busy streets.

Yelp
This is the flagship American Eagle located in the heart of Times Square. It is a huge store. If you want Aerie Items head straight up to the third floor. If in the right season they have a large amount of swimsuits that you can try on. The good thing about this store is that they have a ton of clothing and sizes here so if you see it online there is a good chance it is actually in this store. The employees here are helpful and super nice. I did a pick up in store for some Aerie leggings and was super happy by the fact that I could pick them up on the first floor and not go up to the third floor. Everyone was really nice and I got the leggings and was out in five minutes. On weekends and nights the store can get very chaotic and filled with tourists.
google avatar

Ceren A.

Yelp
I usually shop American Eagle online where sales are better and shipping is most of the time free but that specific location is well known by it's " Get your 15 seconds of fame " marketing strategy :) I take my friends there to buy something and have a photo shot then run outside to watch and save it. It is a nice memory to keep. One of the largest collection holding branch as many others said and staff are attentive. It gets really crowded inside and staircases are not wide enough but I assume they wanted to keep space for more clothing :)
google avatar

Hana S.

Yelp
I only really ever shop at the Aerie section, but the customer service at this location is so prime I had to review it! I think it's one of their flagship stores so they have a lot of inventory compared to the other locations around the city. The first + second floor are womens, the basement is mens and the third floor is Aerie. The workers @Aerie especially are really sweet + welcoming, non-judgmental and helpful in finding you whatever you need. It's always organized and clean at this location. You don't really feel like you're in Times Sq while shopping here :P Also they have some nice sales if you keep up with their social media/emails!

Felipe T.

Yelp
I didn't find any good quality shirts and also a very short variety of styles and clothes in general.
google avatar

Paulene K.

Yelp
This AE store has earned its place in Time Square. The store is huge, well organized and the outside is covered in LED screens. You can't miss this store even with all that goes on in Time Square because it glows, literally. Being a AE fan, I'm in and out of many stores and while this store is impressive, they do up-charge the merchandise because of its location and major tourist clientele. But if you can't find an item somewhere else, this store should carry it. I really enjoyed the NYC and Time Square exclusive t-shirts and items. I couldn't resist getting some for souvenirs.
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
I came in on Saturday just to see what they had and that's when I discovered the Aerie section. I love the fact that all the models use in the photos have not been retouched. That is just awesome. Also, the employees were super nice. They managed quite effortlessly to maintain their excellent customer service when I know they were constantly being inundated with customers in busy Time Sq. One employee offered to measure me to get my bra size. I'll definitely check this place out when I'm back in the city.
google avatar

Nikhil N.

Yelp
The best shopping experience in Manhattan. Sales reps. are more then happy to help. The prices are also reasonable. If it's your b'day then you will end up getting flat 15% off. I like shopping here. Thumbs up!!
google avatar

Charle K.

Yelp
I came in here to do a quick return. Emmanuel & Ziarre were super friendly and helpful. Process was a breeze. They were unable to put the funds back onto the original gift card and they didn't know if they could/how to consolidate the gift cards into one which was a bummer because now I have to carry around two, but that was the only downside to this visit - still 5 stars from me!
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
My 9 and 11 yo got separated from me. I spoke to an employee and instead of getting on those annoying walkie talkies to alert or ask other employees she told me to check the dressing room. Not helpful. Actually pretty scary. The entire episode went over her head.
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
I did not buy anything here, however there was an alleged shooter the other day in Times Square and my family ran into American Eagle and I was really impressed with how they handled the situation. Thank you to the employees and the manager who kept everyone safe and was very calm and kind during the hectic time!
google avatar

Hayley M.

Yelp
I've been to this AE a couple of times. Sometimes it can be a bit crazy because it's busy, the staff is nonetheless very very helpful! Last time I went in there, fun music was playing, and everyone was vibing along with the beat. Always have received great customer service, and they have lots of items in stock!

Yelp
I'm kind of ashamed to say what I'm about to say, but here goes: I'm almost 23 years old and I still like to shop at American Eagle.... This AE, in the sixth circle of hell that is Times Square, is the AE mecca Now allow me to explain: I don't do the "teeny bopper style" of some of their clothes. However, their jeans can be surprisingly flattering for thick thighs and a bountiful ass. The basic tees and tanks come in great colors and are inexpensive. Occasionally there will be a cute summery dress that doesn't look too Hannah Montana. And the number 1 reason? THEY HAVE THE GREATEST UNDERWEAR EVER 5/$25 stretch cotton in the CUTEST, most whimsical prints, and great quality too. No loose threads, no stretching out or shrinking, and they last. This particular location is open until MIDNIGHT! There was a huge selection of merchandise, sizes and colors. The employees were also very nice and helpful, surprisingly cheerful. If I were subjected to working in Times Square, I'd be a huge raging bitch. Kudos to those working at this store!
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
In a nutshell: Look out for sales!! I've never owned American Eagle clothing...ever. We were walking around Times Square and decided to pop our heads in. Turns out all jeans were $29.99 that day, and I'm gross and only owned one pair of jeans. The girlfriend insisted on buying me another pair this day. The thing I like about some clothing retail stores is that you are greeting by an employee and are informed of deals, and sometimes you're handed a flyer advertising said deals or specials. I assume American Eagle is best known for their denim, as it's what you see right when you walk in. Their inventory is huge! Location 4/5 Times Square is the best place to get tourists to buy anything in your store. When you advertise a special, tourists are more inclined to purchase something, especially if they don't know any better. Layout 4/5 Jeans are there when you walk in. Plenty of dressing rooms. Cashiers are downstairs, along with more clearance racks and seasonal items. Ambience 4/5 Very energetic. Staff are constantly patrolling the floor to help customers (and probably enforce loss prevention). Shelves are constantly being restocked and displays are constantly being reorganized. Let's face it, some people are terrible and very discourteous clothing shoppers and toss clothes everywhere. Price 5/5 $30 jeans are great, and American Eagle maintains pretty decent quality. Make sure to check out the area downstairs before you check out. I was able to pick up a couple $7 t-shirts. Overall 4/5 Decently priced clothing in a prime location. I like that they don't hike their prices up since they are in Times Square.

Yelp
I came here during my lunch hour to check out some items I saw online. I didn't expect to talk to anyone. I thought Idl be in and out since I didn't want to spend my whole lunch time at one store. But as I was checking out some items on one floor, some employees informed me of the different promotions on the different floors. As I was looking at a certain item, they informed me there were more styles at a different section of the store. I spent more time here than I expected because of the informative employees. Love the excellent service!
google avatar

Robin K.

Yelp
What a nice surprise to come in and get excellent hot chocolate and baristas with a smile. While enjoying your drink, as a bonus besides recharging yourself, you can recharge your phone.
google avatar

Denisa R.

Yelp
American Eagle Outfitters jeans, hooded sweatshirts, and jewelry are the reasons I keep coming back to this specific store location. The fact that they have a couple of sales every now & again is a bonus. It is conveniently placed in Times Square near practically every single subway line and within walking distance of my job. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly. I feel like I'm talking to a friend of a few years whenever I ask any of the female employees there for help finding certain items or styles. With 3 floors broken down by men's clothing, women's clothing, and lingerie on the top floor there's nothing you can't find in this store!
google avatar

Dominik D.

Yelp
A giant clothing store in Time Square has very obvious appeal. Just hanging out in here can be pleasant because of the music and the views. If your gf is going to drag you somewhere, this isn't a bad spot.
google avatar

Vince S.

Yelp
How are there seriously only three reviews for this store?! Being with American Eagle for six years now, I obviously love the company. But walking into this store, I thought I was entering another world. I work at the flagship San Francisco store, and all I can say is....we need a remodel. Great staff, huge selection, and not to mention Times Square exclusive merchandise. It REALLY is the AE mecca. Every AE fan should pay homage to this store...employee or not.
google avatar

Isabel J.

Yelp
I like coming here since they also have Aerie which I'm a fan of. The store is always well organized and they have a lot of nice, helpful sales people.

Yelp
Wow, no review yet for the new American Eagle flagship store in Times Square? It opened last December! Ok, guess I get to play the Times Sq. expert... kinda like in the foreign service when you have to do a few years in Afghanistan and other undesirable assignments. No one wants to but someone has to. So anyway, this is actually kind of a fun store. I can almost forget I'm in Times Sq. For some reason it's not as packed and obnoxious as everywhere else in this area, and the merchandise is pretty nice. $30 for embellished tees way nicer than their $60 counterparts at J.Crew across town. Super cute necklaces and earrings for $20 (and under), some just as purty as their $60 counterparts at Ann Taylor Loft down the street. The store is spacious and laid out well. They have an ample selection of anything AE. Perhaps most surprisingly for this area, the staff is super helpful and genuinely nice. If you need you're in the area, it's one of the more fun stores to browse around in.
google avatar

Mario O.

Yelp
American Eagle is truly an American store. It reminds me of what the GAP use to be in terms of organization, structure, trend and the eagerness of the employees and their willingness to help. You can find 3 floors here. The main floor is a mix of men and women clothes. The bottom floor is the men's department, the 3rd floor is the women's department. I have always had a positive experience here and I don't mean shopping but also with returns and even getting a second opinion on the clothes I try on. Come on by and try out some of the latest trends of clothes. You won't be disappointed.

Vanessa N.

Yelp
I had the best shopping experience I've ever had. Homar, Ariel, and a man with a beard were so knowledgeable and made sure that I got exactly what I wanted. I will forever recommend this American Eagle Outfitters. Honestly, I've never had such nice staff members help me out! I will definitely come back!
google avatar

Mary P.

Yelp
This is unique to the Times Square store. I don't normally review chains but this American Eagle is awesome. Why? you can get your face on that billboard outside just by purchasing something inside. I had no idea about this "15 seconds" of fame until I took my sister inside so she could use her coupon and we ended up with our goofy mugs on the outside of Times Square, and ginormous. Talk about a scare! I think the next time I'll try to look more attractive and American Eagle esque. Still it was fun especially for her as a visitor.
google avatar

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
I had a fun time visiting American Eagle's flagship store in New York City for the first time! I have worked for the brand for nearly four years, so I loved finally being able to visit this much-talked-about store. For being such a large store, I was impressed that I was greeted on each of the three floors. The first floor is filled with men's clothes, the second with women's, and the third with Aerie. My favorite floor was the third. The space was very pretty, which reflected the Aerie brand well. I think this Times Square space is perfect for AE. It's truly in the center of Times Square and would be a great first store to visit as a foreign tourist. I'm impressed!
google avatar

Vanessa S.

Yelp
What fun and the employees here are always extra kind to us -every one of them. One of the ink tags was left on and we had to go back and they were really nice about it. Three floors of American eagle.
google avatar

Kelly R.

Yelp
I go here because once upon a high school, I really liked AE, and so I still get gift cards for there from my mom all the time. Some of their Aerie stuff is alright, so that's why I schlep all the way to Times Square to the megastore (the only other Aerie outpost is in Soho, which is too farrrrr). The saddest place in the world is the waiting area on the second floor. Families on vacation who have been coerced by their daughters into shopping at a store that they probably have in their home town sit here, their weary faces blank of emotion. I always feel soooo bad for them. Staff is super friendly. Almost *too* friendly....[shifty eyes]
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
Enthusiastic staff, convenient location, and the only Aerie outpost in the area. If you are a teenage girl, or if you're trying to shop for a teenage girl, you'd be smart to start here. Because of its Times Square location, the place is stuffed with tourists, some of whom drag along miscellaneous boyfriends, fathers, and other hangers-on. But apart from the crowds, this AE is actually pretty great.
google avatar

Emily R.

Yelp
I just wanted to say that this is a great place to get T-shirts and souvenirs for teenagers at home. They have a huge selection of New York logo T-shirts at very reasonable prices. The staff were very helpful and they're used to tourists looking for T-shirt souvenirs. The staff are also very helpful about pointing out sale items that I might like. They also have last-minute hats and gloves for this cold weather.

Cynthia R.

Yelp
Everyone on the floor was so helpful getting the right size and making our New York experience so fun!!
google avatar

Paulsegal ..

Yelp
Very helpful crew So many employees! CRAZY!!! excellent prices and selection & killer tunes right smack dab in the middle of Times Square...how convenient
google avatar

Naa Ayeley H.

Yelp
The staff are annoying in how much they follow people around the store and ask if they need help. They also have no smaller sizes. Better to shop online rather than come into this frustrating store in times square.
google avatar

Saga M.

Yelp
Amazing store with lots of help from the employers! In the dressing room you can try on another bra so it would look good with your outfit. You just press a button and someone will come and help you. Great great store! Really love it. Visit it if you have time!

Rachel S.

Yelp
Amazing staff, especially the guy who was doing the embroidery. Only complaint I have is, this is my first time to New York, this was my birthday present from my boyfriend and it was his idea to buy me a sweater and have it embroidered with special meaning from this amazing trip. 2 women in front of us had 11 shirts they wanted embroidered, hugely and took ridiculous time to do. I had 1 sweater that would take 10 mins and when we asked after 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting for them to be done to quickly just go ahead because we were running out of time they said no. We returned the sweater for a refund. So to come to a conclusion after this unnecessary rant, American eagle PLEASE PUT A LIMIT on the amount of clothes you can embroider. These 2 nasty woman ruined a present that had real meaning. I felt so bad for the awesome employee who without complaint serviced these Bratty women.
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
This store is incredible. When we first walked in, we never felt lost and there was always someone that would happily help you if you needed it. If I lived here, I would be in there all the time.
google avatar

Britney C.

Yelp
The men and women section are so neatly organized! You won't find a pair of jeans shriveled by a customer back in it's place or thrown onto the floor. The employees are extremely helpful! The service is outstanding because they inform you of any promotions going on in the store while you are shopping. The guy who helped me was very professional. I always make time to come back to shop here, and you won't find this store overwhelming while you shop because they don't leave you hanging if you need any sort of help shopping.

Yelp
Love this store, they are very friendly , great energy always willing to help. One of the sales associates was with me every step of the way when I was shopping for a fathers day gift, very nice staff :)

Yelp
One of my fav places for pants of all times. The people who work their are very friendly and very helpful. I Iove shopping at their store they always have great promotions.
