The Brewers pride themselves on being the "most affordable family MLB experience", and they earned the title on our visit.
Easy parking factor: giant lots with direct park access, short enough walks, safe environment inside the walls, quick interstate access, parking $10 and under. They set the "affordability" tone from the minute you drive onto the American Family premises.
Cheap ticket factor: even on a night a rival was in town, walk-up single-digit tickets were plenty, and even better seats under $20. Resale markets only help you assure a family of many can attend on a budget.
Welcoming factor: as mentioned, since the tone is set driving in, easy building entry, and helpful staff make it fun from the start. What more would you expect from the home of Bob Uecker?
Food factor: does Miller really taste better here? Maybe only until 2020 when the name changed, but you be the judge--how could it not?? And some sort of sausage-brat-themed meat would only be appropriate. Enough alternatives otherwise as well, including Brats and Nachos-on-a-Stick.
Move freely about the cabin factor: there are some partial-blocked view seats, so take the time to cruise a little throughout this giant igloo-looking structure. It's a different vibe open vs closed, and good alternatives abound to view some plays from different vantage points without the ushers tossing you from standing-room areas.
Little kid souvenir factor: Racing Sausages are the best non-human home plate race characters in the league: Brat, Polish, Italian, Hot Dog, Chorizo--actual runners, not a lame video like other teams try to pull off. After wins, and when the Brewers hit a homer, enjoy the Bernie Brewer taking a minute off tweeting his mascot-leading number of fans to slide down the giant centerfield slide!
A Brewers win over a rival helped the mood post-game, but happy times on the stroll back to the car for easy exit capped off a nice night at "The Park Formerly Known as Miller".
