Super cute retro motel right on Route 66. Loved the disco ball in the corner. Close to everything we wanted to do including running store, coffee shops, and running trails. Decent size room with two queens and cool shower. Excellent drinks (coffee and sun tea) plus alcohol for sale in the lobby. Extra guest bathrooms really nice for rooms with multiple guests. Didn’t use the pool bc it was too cold but nice space. Staff was super friendly. Would recommend.

Friendly staff, fun decor. Plenty to do when the weather is good. LOUD train noise every 10-15 minutes. If you don’t travel with a dog, don’t stay here. All rooms are “dog friendly” so be prepared. Love the fact that they have dog friendly rooms, but they should let you know that they don’t have any non dog friendly rooms. They should also offer earplugs for the train noise. If you’re looking for a good nights rest, look elsewhere.

Everything! It was a cool fun funky place to stay. I awesome the retro 60’s / 70s Decor and Even the disco ball in the room. Great big shower with plenty of hot water. Great towels. Great amenities, the pool, cornhole, fire pit, etc., an incredible value and right in the heart of Flagstaff. An authentic route 66 motor Inn, but with all the modern creature comforts.

If you are looking for a cheap Hotel 6 room and don’t care about cleanliness and noise, this is the place for you. I thought they were being accommodating when they switched me to the correct room. Instead of getting the room I was told I would be in, the guy in the front said it was not available and he would see what he could do. When I got to the room it was all the way in the back of the hotel, the room was dirty with bugs, and smelled of cigarettes. My last night of two the upstairs occupants were stomping back and forth and banging all hours of the night. The ceiling felt it was going to come down. Horrible horrible stay. Never going back. I’ll pay more for better. I was also checking out and asked for an itemized receipt and conveniently the printer was not working! Just a side note for everyone the office is not open until 8am so any issues you are screwed. Someone ahead of me was locked out of his room was locked out the whole night due to inability to reach staff! I also notice they delete some reviews!

Room decor was so much fun. My grandkids loved it! We all commented on the comfy beds and how clean our room was. Helpful staff answering all our questions with a smile. In particular we appreciated Cove’s attentiveness offering many tips on were to visit and eat such as Eat & Run for breakfast! The outdoor fire pits were a plus since we went during winter but were told they have a heated pool if interested. You can checkout board games and borrow their telescopes. They sell s’more kits and their own cute souvenirs and snacks. Our family had a great time and plan on returning!

Stayed at the Americana Motor Hotel on our drive to Flagstaff and honestly loved it. The neon sign at night pulled us right in, glowing against the dark sky in the best retro way. Walking into the lobby felt like stepping into a vintage postcard. Bright, colorful, retro with a modern twist that actually works. The guy at the front desk was friendly and welcoming and offered a free drink. Water or a beer from a local brewery. We obviously chose the beer. The room was small but thoughtfully done. Retro décor, super clean, smelled great, and yes, there was a disco ball in the corner. It somehow made the whole space feel fun instead of gimmicky. Simple, cozy, and full of character. This place has personality, and that’s hard to find. We’ll definitely be back.

Really loved this place! We struggle with 2 dogs to find nice places to stay. We still want nice accommodations and to feel safe. We loved our stay here! Great location, beautiful rooms and perfect when you have pets that you want to travel with. Our room was clean, the property was just perfect. I just loved it and we will be going back!

If you like quirky and retro, this is the place for you! And your dog will love you for bringing him here! The dog run is superb with double gates so he can’t accidentally get out. It’s not huge but I love the retro vibe. You really felt like you were back in the 70s! Definitely not upscale but very clean and very fun! It’s worth it right on route 66 to be whisked back in time. Will always stop here when I’m going through Flagstaff from now on. Don’t know if I’d stay here for a week, but a couple nights is perfect. One drawback is your near a train track. But the rooms were pretty far away from the tracks. Nothing earplugs didn’t solve.

First the good: this is an incredibly affordable hotel, with comfortable rooms and lots of parking. The theme is really fun. Love the disco balls! Large walk-in showers, bikes and telescopes to borrow (though it was very tricky to set up the telescope), and there are fire pits and lawn games that might be fun in the summer. You also get welcome drinks--water or PBR (or both), and there's a cute gift shop with astronaut-themed snacks. My biggest complaint is that the on-site restaurant apparently randomly closes, so if you're planning on relaxing at the hotel after a long drive, might be best to pack a cooler just in case!

If you have any accessibility issues be sure you get a first floor room. We were assigned one on the second floor and weren't made aware there was no elevator until we checked in. It was not listed on the website or advertised to be this way and it made for a very hard time getting up to our room for us. On top of that- unfortunately we arrived after dark and the stairs were very poorly lit which made it more dangerous. When we checked in the woman at the front desk was....not very nice. I wouldn't say she really cared about our concerns or questions. She didn't give us any help getting to our room which I only noticed after she checked someone else in and gave them clear directions. When I asked about an elevator or something to help us to our room she told us we were just out of luck and she couldn't do anything for us, in a way that really made me regret even asking her any questions in the first place. This place is dog friendly which is great. However, dogs will be dogs and the walls are thin so bring ear plugs for sleeping. The room was super unique, but was advertised as a queen and I will say this is the smallest queen bed I have ever seen if it is. The bathroom was nice and clean, but it is a bit of a squeeze to get in there to use it and close the door. The shower floor was pretty slick during use so be aware of that for accessibility as well. They do have blackout curtains and they really work, but be sure they close all the way before changing. We had to clip ours closed with a hair clip because they wouldn't stay fully closed on their own and you could see into our window. Also be aware that in the text you will receive upon check in it states that Baja Mar closes at 9 when it actually closes at 8. We found that out the hard way when we went to try to buy food. Overall it was a just OK stay. I booked because it looked really unique and cool but with all the things combined I don't think I would stay here again.

This retro hotel was so cool , total 70's vibe and very fun kitschy outdoor pool ! The surrounding area had some great coffee shops & restaurants, we also loved the taco shop that was onsite.

We arrived late, but our room was available. Honestly, I am not a fan of this motel. The entire property is very dimly lit. There is a very high sidewalk that was not only dangerous, but very hard to climb up especially if you are handicapped. Sure there is a ramp at the long way from your room or where you park. My husband has difficulty walking long distances, and we both have handicap placards, but there is NO HANDICAP PARKING!!!!!!' The carpet in the room is digusting, tiny tiny refrigerator, and wood textured wallpaper everywhere. Good News-the shower is fantastic!!! I can't get over the disregard to handicap people, and we will Never return!

Pretty cool little motel. We had a really great time and experience staying here. Rooms were super clean, staff was very friendly, and the hotel was super cool and unique with a 60/70s theme. Also dog friendly which was a huge plus.

Our stay here was great. After accidentally booking the wrong dates and not showing up, they gave me a call and kindly moved my dates with no additional cost which was so appreciated. The front desk workers were super kind and welcoming. The room was small, but was very cute and there was lots to do on site which was nice. There was a nice pool, corn hole, fire pits, bikes, and telescopes. There's even an on site taco shop! The room was super clean and the location was great. I would definitely stay here again!

What a gem the Americana Motor Hotel is!! Everything from check-in to check-out was perfection! Such a cool place with a mod vibe. So super clean and really comfortable! We loved the decor! The life size astronaut at the entrance to the disco balls in the room and the cute igloo cooler for an ice bucket, every detail was well thought out. one of my favorite things was the picture of the corded phone in the bathroom! So clever! This was a memorable stay for sure!

This is a fabulous hotel! Located on Route 66 in Flagstaff, Arizona. It has been completely redone and has the Americana flare in every corner of every section! Summer amenities are fabulous as you can see from the website. My friends and family love coming and staying here! The front desk staff is above and beyond welcoming and helpful!

This place was great. First, for the price. Second, the detail with the whole place. The room was visually pleasing. They decorated it with a distinctive style. They even had robes. They even had a dog area and a washing station for the dogs. They did an extremely good job with detail. I work in the film industry and details matter.

We were traveling cross country decided to find Route 66 hotels that have been remodeled and more easy to access where you pull up to the door. This hotel was a very pleasant surprise in every way. Our stay was very comfortable and wish we could've stayed longer. It is pricier than most motels on this route, but the amenities and attention to detail make it a five star and then they called

Everything was just right! Upon checking in on 4/19/2024 we got our free drinks. Getting our drinks after driving for so many hours from Los Angeles was a treat! We got into our room and it was the cutest! I must have missed the part where it said there was a disco ball in our room. I was ecstatic that there was a disco ball and it just made me happier to be on my vacation. Beds and pillow were super comfy! Definitely easy to fall asleep on! I love the whole backyard setup w the pool, cornhole and firepits. We did not get a chance to get in the pool or play cornhole. We got to hang out at the firepits and met some people along the way. I actually took advantage of the free bicycle rental (4hrs) and rode around Flagstaff for a couple hours. Down the street is Walmart, Chick-Fil-A, Texas Roadhouse, Dutch Bros Co, Walgreens, and downtown Flagstaff. I would definitely come back and recommend this hotel to anyone!

This is a new business, not to be confused with the old Americana Inn. That place was gutted and reborn as the retro, kitsch, hipstery Americana Motor Hotel. Grabbing onto the location on the historic Route 66 and the space-related history of Flagstaff (did you know every astronaut who has walked on the moon has trained in Flagstaff?), Americana is a mixture of the old with a coat of the new added on top. In addition to completely renovated rooms, they added a pool, fire pits, hammocks, and a dog park. There is even a burgers and beers-type snack shop coming soon. We came here knowing that they were pretty new, only taking guests since late July, so we expected something shiny and new. It was ... kind of. But there were also enough hiccups that I wasn't super happy with our stay. Thankfully, they listened, they cared, and I believe they are going to fix them. That speaks volumes to me. The issues we had were sort of a running tally... We had inconsistencies with hot water, terrible access to the wifi (I did a Speedtest and you could not work from there if you needed to), and the noise from the room above us was so loud that it actually woke us up both at night and in the morning. Also, the speed bump on the property is so high that even going under 5 mph, a smaller car will likely bottom out on it. We actually thought we had damaged our medium-sized sedan! And I wouldn't really expect frills. There were minimal toiletries (full sized basics, but nothing like cotton balls or Q-tips), there was only one single-serve coffee pod for two guests for two nights (!!). Housekeeping seemed a little overworked. We only were offered service once, when we were in the process of changing, so we couldn't answer, and as a result never got fresh towels or clean cups. (So, snooze or lose when it comes to housekeeping.) We had to ask for the welcome drink mentioned in the paperwork. (Also, spoiler: It is not alcoholic, which is fine.) Also, there was supposedly a "welcome party" for their "launch weekend" the weekend we were there they proudly advertised on their Instagram, and we were neither invited nor even made aware it was happening. But don't get me wrong - there were also really good things about this place. It is cute as heck. I love what they are doing with the retro vibe, and I hope more places catch on to this. There is a ton of parking, and in most cases, you can pull right up in front of your door. (Although beware of having anyone upstairs if you do not sleep like the dead.) They are also VERY pet friendly. They didn't even ask about our small dog, much less charge us an exorbitant fee to bring him like a lot of other properties might. The decor is super cute with messages like "We're all made of stars" and every room has a disco ball, which is so fun! The fire pits are nice on a cool night, and the pool is heated year-round, so that will be fun for a lot of people. The thing that makes me round up on this property was that when I let them know at check out, they really listened to me. I appreciate that so much. The hot water was my biggest concern because a comfortable bed and a hot shower are the baselines I expect for a hotel, and they had even tried to fix it during our stay. There were a lot of other things that added up, and they wanted to know them. So, they took care of me, and I appreciate that. That makes me more likely to return when I am back in Flagstaff, especially if traveling with my dog.

I've been on a road trip and Americana Motor Hotel is by far my favorite hotel experience - (have to give a shout to The Peabody Hotel in Memphis as my other favorite hotel experience) It's cute and has things to do instead of staying in your room, there's a pool, there's hammocks and fire pits to sit around while star gazing! I felt safe and comfortable with my surroundings. Very cool place and I will def be back, thanks Americana Motor Hotel! They are pet friendly btw.

The reason your a hotel clerk on the graveyard shift is because your customer service skills suck. You were a jerk to the people in front of us and to me. You deserve your job.... I highly recommend the High country Hotel! They have a Sauna, pool, plunge bath, a full bar and great customer service.

Absolute gem!! The style of this hotel is so retro and fun at a very nice price. It was an old hotel before that they renovated and they did a fantastic job, as it's extremely clean and also has great staff. The staff was kind and knowledgeable about the area which made us feel very comfortable. Upon arrival, you receive two complimentary drinks, as well as with your stay you can take the bikes at the front of the lobby on a ride! The check out time being 12 pm was definitely a huge plus, because it allowed time for relaxation which was appreciated! This was an extremely cool place to stay and we'll definitely be back when we're in the area as well as recommended it to all of our friends and family!

I enjoyed our stay here quite a lot. Hotel and everything is sleek retro and in great shape. It literally looks just like the photos on the website, which is rare. It's super dog friendly, which is really important to us since we travel with our furry friend. We were here mid week, so it wasn't very busy, but there was lots of staff around and they were all friendly. I do have a few points for management that could be improved. The coffee pot in the room is incredibly small and we were only given one pod of each regular and decaf. We like our coffee strong, and this just wasn't cutting it. However, the lobby has fresh coffee so we just walked over there in the morning. It was delicious. My second comment would be about the fenced dog area. It's a lovely thing to have, but the ground is covered with little pieces of wood mulch. They got stuck in between our dogs paw pads and she didn't like walking on them. She wouldn't play in that area. Finally, the wifi is not password protected. It's not smart to use, so I had to use my phone as a hotspot. My husband couldn't manage to log on through his phone. We both had some work to do while we were here, so it was a little inconvenient. Even with the little kinks, this is a great place to stay. The location makes it sound like it's a bit far out of town but it's really just a three minute drive and super easy. IHop is right next door so you can walk to breakfast, and Wallgreens is directly on the other side of the building so it's easy to get anything you've forgotten. Overall, this place, its vibe, and its staff are awesome. I would absolutely recommend this to others and we will definitely stay here again when we come through town.

These walls are the thinnest walls i've ever encountered. barely slept a wink because I could hear everything and it sorta scared me. the fridge is tiny tiny, no microwave, no breakfast in the am, can't change the air conditioning, the baja mar restaurant they have here is cool but I didn't like my meal twice and didn't even get the discount because they said nothing about it. the vibe is super cool and the staff was friendly but for what you pay, it kinda pissed me off /:

Pros: The rooms are really nice and clean. Just like what you see in the pictures. There is a nice seating area and space to walk your pets outside. The decor and design of the rooms are high quality and designer boutique. The area is safe, plenty of parking. Cons: no microwave in the room, space is tight, lobby has regular business hours. We will be staying here again next time we drive through, this place is an absolutely gem.

Lots of things are wrong for the price. AC? Apparently you can't turn it off like every other hotel. There's a secret panel that no one tells you about. The alarm clock went off (we did not set it) and we couldn't turn it off!! We stayed here on our way from Laguna Beach to Santa Fe and loved everything about it. First it's so dog friendly, with no extra fee and a mini dog park area on the premises. There's also a large area to walk around with fire pits, corn hole, hammocks and a nice pool. They offered us free drinks at check in and the room was quite spacious, the beds super comfy and many fun-loving space-age design details. The disco ball spins with lights! We loved it so much we returned on our way home. This time we ate at the little fish taco place on the premises and they were outstanding. We also got to charge up our EV on grounds! Also the staff were so friendly and helpful. This would be a great place if you had kids as well. Love that they saved this old motor court on historic Route 66. AAA+++

Great spot! Dog friendly and cute as heck. The beds were comfy and it was recently renovated to have a very retro vibe. I took advantage of the telescope rental, and loved the disco ball. The shower was hot and bathroom clean.

Pros: This place was very cute as advertised and the price was great! The room was clean and the TV had a lot of movies for free on demand! The location is also convenient- a straight shot to downtown with Walgreens and a couple of chain restaurants within walking distance. Cons: The walls are THIN- like so thin you can hear a full normal volume conversation. The water in the shower was low pressure and didn't get super hot so it was a slightly cold experience! I booked mainly because I was drawn to the backyard vibe they advertise with fire pits and corn hole. We were disappointed to find out only one of the fire pits worked and we had to have the handyman on site (super helpful & nice man) teach us how to "jerry-rig" the dial to made it work- though once it got going it was what we had expected.

Great staff, hip clean room & easy location to get into downtown. While the rooms don't have mini-fridges, they provide a small cooler for a few things. Bonus canned cocktail or fancy bottled water at check-in. Mom & daughter stay - never felt unsafe.

This motel was perfect. The room decor was retro 60's vibe and tastefully done. Very clean and extremely comfortable bed. Our dog stayed with us and gives it 4 paws up for the pet area and front desk. Americana Motel has earned a "must stay" for our road trips. So close to the vibrant Route 66 area downtown cafes and shops. AND NO PET FEE was a big plus.

A relatively cheap hotel located really close to downtown Flagstaff. Staff was very friendly and helpful quick to offer suggestions and recommendations in the area. Hotel has an amazing aesthetic and great vibe to it! Loved the rooms and the outside patio area. Also the entire hotel was extremely clean and well kept. Would absolutely recommend!

Absolutely awesome stay. We were so happy we added an extra day to our trip. Everyone on staff was very nice, grounds and rooms were impeccably clean. Pets and kids were comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone. Grounds are awesome and so is the Mexican restaurant on the grounds... we would absolutely stay again.

This place was adorable!! My husband and I stopped and stayed here on our road trip across the country from California to Massachusetts and we were very big fans of the groovy retro vibes while incorporating some touches of modern luxury and being extremely comfortable and cozy. Fat Bagels just down the street was a great try for breakfast too!! The only small complaint we had was that the sink drain had some trouble staying open so we had to hold it open for water to drain. Not a big deal, and everything else more than made up for it. I was shocked by the price we paid for such a nice room. It was comparable in price to a mid grade chain hotel but Americana Motor Hotel was obviously sooooo much cuter! I would come back and stay again and I would recommend it as a stop to anyone who passes by!

We had such a fun stay here! The rooms are so fun and quirky, we loved the disco ball. The hotel has a lot of outdoor recreational activities available and we enjoyed playing Cornhole and hanging out by the fire pit. The pool area looked like it would be a blast in the warmer months. The staff were super friendly. We live in Arkansas but if we are ever through Flagstaff again, we would love to stay here.

This is the best place to stay! The staff is friendly and well versed about the area. The room is amazing. Loved the retro decorations with a modern American twist. The rooms are very clean and the beds where very comfy. For the price of a budget hotel, you get a five star feel. I would highly recommend to anyone who is staying in flagstaff, stopping while on a road trip, or plans to visit the Grand Canyon (about 1:30 minutes away).

Such a fun place to stay! The bed was very comfortable, the amenities were nice and the room was styled perfectly, shower was great, staff was friendly and helpful, checkin and out was easy, the dog park was phenomenal. We can't say enough good things - We wish we could have stayed here another night!

came here to celebrate our anniversary, was told during check-in that there would be a $55 security deposit for the room and would be immediately returned to us upon check out. okay. we got to the room and the heater doesn't work the entire time, it was 58° in the room when we woke up. And there was a good one pump of body wash in the shower which wasn't the best. when i woke up we had another $54 charge on my card and was told that they didn't know what happened and there was nothing they could do. so i cannot help but feel being scammed, i am told my money will be back in 3-4 BUSINESS days when we stayed on a friday night. and we were once again lied to by being told there was a $15 amenity charge being taken out. amenity charge for my no body wash and cold room? thanks but no thanks. until my $95 is returned to my account i stand by my statement of never coming back again. way to make a first impression. don't come if you want to be out almost $100 within one night stay in the hotel. spend your money elsewhere.

Great little spot for the price and vibes, but definitely the thinnest walls I've ever had at a motel. Nonstop banging and can hear conversations next door. If we do stay again, we are going top floor.

I was planning a little staycation trip to flagstaff for my boyfriends birthday and I wanted a place that accepted pets so we could bring ou puppy. I saw the photos of the hotel room and was compelled to stay here. We get there and the guy at checkout was super nice and helpful. We go up to our rooms and they are quite small but very quirky with the 70's retro decor. We wanted to take a nap before dinner but could hear every footstep from our neighbors beside us. It's a old hotel which has recently been newly renovated so this is to be expected there's not much they can do. I asked to switch rooms and they responding back very quickly saying to come down to the lobby so that they could assist. I also however asked for a room farthest in the back to avoid the traffic noise and was put right in the front. Fast forward to when we left the hotel we left our puppy in the crate so that we could enjoy dinner. We received a text saying that he was making noise and that we should come back to check. I texted back apologizing and asking if someone would please check to see if he was still making noise before we drove all the way back there because we were far and received no response. I called down there since I didn't get a response and nicely asked the lady to go check and see if the dog was still making noise . Mind you our room was a few steps from the lobby and she stated there's no one to go check when she easily could've gotten up instead of being lazy and accommodated us. These are things you do when you run a hotel. The conversation ended and then about 30 minutes later she calls back asking if we're going to come check on the dog because he's still making noise. I was so infuriated at this point I said "sure" and hung up the phone and drove all the way to get him. Lugged him and the crate down the stairs when I'm pregnant with twins and all the way back to our friends place where we were lucky enough that they said he could stay for a little. I usually don't leave reviews of this nature but I had high hopes for this place due to the reviews. Unfortunately the decor and vibes are not enough to make me ever want to come here again. It's situations like this that really test the quality of the place you're staying. Overall the man at the front desk and the decor were the only good things about this place. If I were him I would reconsider who I have working my front desk and hire someone who knows a thing or two about hospitality.
