I recently stayed at this hotel and was generally satisfied with my experience. The hotel is very well located, close to the Rhine, offering a beautiful view and easy access to walks along the river. The location is really a major asset.||The room was comfortable and well-maintained, providing everything necessary for a pleasant stay. However, the bathroom was a bit outdated despite a recent renovation. The shower, in particular, was in a rather narrow cabin, which was not very convenient.||The breakfast was decent but nothing special. Given the price, I expected something more exceptional. The products offered were basic and did not really justify the cost.||The room service for food was excellent. I placed an order and the food was delicious. The person who delivered my order was very kind and professional.||However, I had a bad experience during check-out. Unlike the check-in where the staff was welcoming, I was ignored by an older female employee for five minutes while I waited to return the keys. This lack of respect really disappointed me, especially considering the price paid for the stay. Fortunately, another employee (a young guy) eventually handled my check-out professionally.||In summary, the hotel is well-located and comfortable, but some aspects of the service needs to be improved.

Stayed at the hotel for the second time on Jan 8-14, and like the first time, it was a wonderful experience! Very professional and friendly staff, both at the restaurant and reception! It was lovely experience! Surely will come back again! - Syed Rizvi

Liked · Staff was very welcoming|The location directly on the river was great. Beautiful views, quaint, good breakfast|Comfy beds, A/C (not a given in Germany)|Great Sauna||Disliked · The room was not very clean. Dust in various places, lint on the floor (why people put furry rugs in hotel rooms is beyond me), crusty toilet seat and various pubic hair on the bathroom floor. The worst was the fridge. Never seen a fridge this dirty in any hotel.

Don't stay here. I'm sure you can find better value for your money elsewhere. ||My sister and I stayed here for five nights in August, while visiting a friend in Bonn. The only good thing this hotel has going for it is location. ||Issue 1: Check-in |We checked-in on a Sunday evening. It was not busy. There was no one else checking in at the same time. However, when we checked in we were not given any information. The person at the check-in desk simply gave us our room key, told us our room, number and where the elevator was. That's it. He didn't tell us how to connect to the Wi-Fi, or that they had a digital information sheet, or how parking worked. ||My friend came to visit us at the hotel and parked there. She didn't know how parking work. So I asked the person at the front desk about parking. He didn't tell me that it costs 18 euros a night. He just asked me how long I was staying and gave me a parking ticket and told me we could use that. This led me to believe that parking was complimentary. It was only the next day when I overhead the front desk staff telling someone else who was checking in that parking cost 18 euros a night did I realize how much it cost. So I returned the parking ticket and paid the 18 euros for the one night even though my friend had only parked in the parking lot for a maximum of 3 hours the day before. ||I worked in the lobby most of the evenings I was there as the Wi-Fi didn't work in my room (see below for more info). So I heard a lot of other people checking in. Everyone else who checked in was given a lot more information. As we were the only two black people I saw the entire time we were there, it makes me wonder if the color of my skin had something to do with the sub-par service we received. ||Issue 2: The Wi-Fi |The Wi-Fi signal in the room is so weak that it constantly dropped. I needed to work while I was there and was force to work in the lobby every day because I did not have a stable in my room. I even asked the front desk if there was somewhere else I could work and they said that the only place I would work was in the lobby. This of course is far from ideal when I had meetings as the lobby can get loud with other guests talking or when the hotel staff is vacuuming. ||Issue 3: The air conditioner |The AC didn't work. It turned on but didn't actually expel cool air to cool down the room. This made the room temperature very uncomfortable as the the temperature was between 27 to 30 degrees most days. ||Issue 4: Basic room amenities. |I have received more amenities in lower class hotels. For example, there are no slippers, or robes. There isn't even a COFFEE MACHINE OR KETTLE. I read in response to another review that they do not provide these in standard rooms. This is supposed to be a four star hotel. I've had a coffee machine and/or kettle in standard rooms in other hotels that were only three star. ||Issue 5: The bathroom|The bathroom was outdated and very small. The shower reminded me of a shower on a cruise. Additionally the hair dryer was broken. See as though the AC was never fixed, I never bothered to report the broken hair dryer. ||Summary: I feel like I was hoodwinked. This is definitely not a four star hotel. It is two star at best. So you might as well save yourself some money and stay at another hotel (like the Motel One).

Horrible rooms, horrible interior, old furniture seem to come out of the Soviet era….and don’t get me wrong, antique furniture can be very nice when it’s combined with comfort but this hotel has none of that. The bathrooms are old and not practical, Pillows are all dismantled and seem to swim in larger pillow cases that you end up having your face right on an uncovered old pillow that has been used by dozens of people ( just disgusting 🤮)….when asked for a better pillow they just say no we have nothing we can do, overall this hotel needs a big update and I’m even surprised how they can still sell it as a 4 stars hotel. The guy at the reception was useless , unfriendly and not helpful at all ( overall horrible experience ). Never again!

Nicely located at Rhine river and in walking distance to city center. Parking garage available. Super friendly service. Rooms look dated but ok.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel - for a total of seven nights. I booked a junior suite, which I highly recommend as it is just a bit more for a very beautiful room with lovely river views. The rooms had a nice cold air conditioner, which made sleeping very comfortable. Mini bar, including waters, included for the junior suite. Nice baths with big towels. I did not book breakfast in advance, but had it on some mornings and it was very good with lots of options. The terrace outside the restaurant is just gorgeous. I loved getting an aperol spritz and enjoying the river view (the drinks are very tasty also!). One note: the restaurant is very strict about reservations. So while you can walk in any time for a drink, they won’t serve you dinner or lunch if they are fully booked (which they seem to always be — I couldn’t get in for one person on a Monday night.). This is the only negative for me as it would be nice to get a bite to eat as a hotel guest, especially on a long day or arrival day. So be sure to book before you arrive. Also it would be good if the hotel could add latches to the room doors. (I had a confused hotel guest knocking on my door one night thinking it was his room — while everything was fine, a door latch would make me feel safer as a woman traveling alone.). But all in, this is a superb hotel with excellent service. It felt very luxurious for a very reasonable price. Sauna and relaxation room are also lovely, and you can request they turn on the sauna if you want to use it in the morning or daytime. Highly recommend if you are in Bonn.
