The location was perfect for being able to reach interesting areas on foot and the accommodations were excellent. Included breakfast was also a delight. However, the very best part was the staff. I wish I could single some folks out, but, to a person, the staff members were friendly and perceptive. |A good example was the lady who arranged for me to have a chair outside by the ashtray so I could enjoy a late night cigar with my wee dram. |I applaud the customer service at this hotel!

Enjoyed 4 days at the Ameron Luzern Hotel Flora. We took the train from Paris, and the hotel is conveniently just a 10-minute walk from the train station. The staff are helpful, and we were given a free coupon for public transit in the local vicinity. The rooms are very stylish, modern, and clean. We loved the little touches, such as the complimentary snacks and drinks in the minibar, as well as the bird sounds in the elevator. Lucerne is such a beautiful city and this boutique hotel fits right in. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Our family stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and found it really convenient. It’s near the train station and chapel bridge. The rooms are a bit small but modern and the bathroom is good sized. Amenities are also good. Special thank you to the lady staff that helped us check out. She was so helpful and agreed to let us break down our cash to smaller bills to help us go around the city.

Google
We had a wonderful trip to Switzerland staying at this hotel. The hotel is in a phenomenal location only a few blocks to the train and to the riverfront area where most dining/shops are located. The room was a little bit small (to be expected for Europe city center location), but it was well appointed and comfortable. The hotel breakfast buffet had many good options including fresh pastries and a good selection of hot items. Overall, the hotel was very modern and convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others traveling to Luzern.

Google
Truly an amazing team who manage the customer experience. From the quick response to our emails when we booked our stay to the attentive staff at reception and the restaurant. The room was as described and very comfortable. On the edge of Old Town and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. We highly recommend the AMERON Luzern Hotel Flora

Situated one block from the main train station and half a block from Lucerne's famous covered bridge, the Ameron is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is efficient, welcoming, and accommodating (we contacted them to see if we could check in early, which they made happen). The room was clean and efficient, the bed comfortable. The restaurant's breakfast was a great way to furl up for a day of exploring. This is a very well run establishment and we will stay there again the next time we come to Lucerne.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Hotel Flora. Perfect location close to everything you want - train station, points of interest, restaurants, and even took in a concert at the beautiful KKL concert hall on Lake Lucerne. Young staff was incredibly helpful, energetic and always available for any local advice needed. Will definitely stay here longer next trip!

Google
Positive: This was our favorite hotel of the trip. Very close to the train station and a short walk to old town and the lake. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were air conditioned and comfortable. We loved everything about our stay here! Negative: ""

Yelp
Hotel is very clean, has comfortable bed/bedding. The front desk staff are very friendly. Most of all, great location, minutes away from the Chapel bridge and the train station. We enjoyed our stay and would love to stay at this hotel again.

Yelp
The rooms are tiny for exorbitant rates, but that's the case for just about any hotel in Lucerne. There is no complimentary breakfast, the air conditioning struggles to keep up with the stifling summer heat, and balconies offer unappealing views of a courtyard. But the hotel's proximity to the city's main ferry and train station is optimal and the reason you stay here.

Yelp
Location, location, location. Plus necessary creature comforts of course. --25m to ATM's and the Globus department store(if you've been to Europe, you know the basement of department stores are heavens for local food and drink). --100m to the famed Chapel Bridge. --150m from the Luzern station and ferry docks. --1km radius to all of Old Town. And just in case you need it, the very edge of vehicular traffic for private cars, taxis, and ride shares. (Vehicular traffic is prohibited in Old Town). A boutique hotel decorated with contemporary Swiss charm. Though a non suite hotel, rooms are comfortable, nearly sound proof from your neighbors, and while small, well appointed and extremely clean. --Linens and robes - not very plush but do the job. --Shampoo, body wash, lotions - No complaints and suits the environment. --Bed and bedding - extremely comfortable with a pillow menu if necessary. --Power - limited (only one visible without moving furniture). Bring a universal power adapter with multiple USB ports. Other amenities include: -- Free city wide WiFi -- Free Nespresso (various pods included) -- Free minibar (refilled daily with water, soft drinks) -- Euro to CHF currency exchange (horrible rate) Very friendly front desk staff more than willing to help you navigate the city. German, Italian, French, and English speaking. An incredible value at 160CHF/nt. Tip: Book direct for the best rate IF your credit card has no fee for processing payment in CHF else use an online booking site for USD payment. If your reason to visit Luzern is to immerse yourself in traditional Swiss culture AKA eat, drink, and explore, vs 5 star luxury relaxation, this property is definitely worth considering.

Yelp
Hotel with a Tripadvisor walkability a perfect 100, in the center of Lucerne, Switzerland. 174 restaurants within 0.3 miles, and 52 attractions within 0.3 miles. Can't get much better than that unless you stay at West 57th by Hilton in Manhattan! Hotel is located on a side street 300 feet from the Rosengart museum full of Picasso paintings, and 500 feet from the world famous wooden chapel bridge. If you come by train, it's only 1000 feet from the main train station. We were part of a tour group of 42, and one of several tour groups booked in this hotel. Hardest part was unloading everyone's luggage from the tour bus in the narrow side street for our two night stay. Our room on the fourth floor was 9' x 14' , very modern design, with two twin beds pushed together. No balcony, but the floor to ceiling windows opened partially, overlooking the hotel entrance on a quiet side street. Very space efficient, with sitting chair, and circular glass table with 2 large complimentary bottles of mineral water, refreshed each day. Closet for hanging clothes, and shelves for storing more clothes above the closet, but a reach for most people. Numerous electrical outlets at the nightstand, and coffee maker. Room came with electronic safe, coffee machine, and dorm sized refrigerator. Do not remember seeing any mini bar. TV mounted on the wall out of the way, which we never used, as everything in German. Free wifi. Bathroom had a very deep full size bathtub. Temperature control fixed with modern AC. The rooms with the best views are those sixth floor rooms with a mountain view of the Chapel Bridge and Lake over the rooftops from the balcony, for which you pay a heavy surcharge. During breakfast in the basement, met Nailli and Carol K of Cupertino. They were easy to spot, as the only Asians in the room, besides myself. We're 5000 miles from home, and meet people living 5 miles from our home! Don't expect a good night's sleep on a Friday or Saturday night, as loud noise from rowdy patrons in the downstairs bar well into the early morning!

Yelp
Pleasant stay and good food My wife and I were recently on a tour of Austria and Switzerland and spent a couple of nights at the Ameron Luzern Hotel Flora in Lucerne. Our room was comfortable, the staff were pleasant and accommodating. In fact, it rained during our visit and the Front Desk provided full size complimentary loaner umbrellas for those who requested them. We had two Twin Beds pushed together rather than one mattress; I learned on the trip that this is not uncommon in Europe, so this was not a problem. The bed itself was fairly comfortable. The breakfast was quite good and offered the good fruit and pastries that we have come to appreciate in this area. If you are planning on visiting Luzern, the Ameron Luzern Hotel Flora is a good choice. Check them out. (TIP - If it does rain during your stay, ask for a loaner umbrella)

Yelp
Great location. You are literally one block away from the bridge and the pedestrian zone. This is great if you have a car and need parking. The decor of the hotel is very modern and funky. Nice and clean. Wifi is free and awesome. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. We forgot our passports and staff bent over backwards to help. Would give 100 stars if I could. Thank you Andy

Yelp
First the good stuff. The location is great, just outside the covered Chapel Bridge and in close proximity to restaurants. That is the best attribute period. If you are a Picasso fan the Rosenblatt museum is right across the street and is full of Picasso's work. Good Italian restaurant right around the corner called Rossini, good pizza and lasagne. We were with a tour group of 40 and my wife and I were the last to arrive due to flight scheduling. Consequently we got the dregs for a room. It was clean and well maintained except for the A/C, see below. Our room #425 was quiet but super small like we had no more than 18 inches between the foot of the bed and the dresser so we had to coordinate our movements. The A/C didn't work well until we called maintenance and they cleaned out the duct which was blocked by a whole lot lot of dust. You couldn't use the bathroom sink unless you went in diagonally and then shut the bathroom door. The shower was nice however. Many in our group of 40 complained of severe noise from the street and the bar below. Make sure you get a room away from the street to avoid the street and bar noise but not # 425. The breakfast was okay but not great. The staff at the front desk are not particularly on the ball either.

Yelp
This place is pretty basic but it gets the job done. The room we had was small but clean. The location cannot be beat! It's less than a 5 minute walk from the train/bus/boat station, as well as the old town neighborhood and Chapel Bridge. For this reason alone, it's worth the stay. I would skip the breakfast. It's not worth 15 francs.

Yelp
This place was great! The rooms were the perfect size for my friend and I and very clean. The location was incredibly convenient! It was just a few blocks from the train station which was great and also about one block away from the covered bridge, Chapel Bridge, over to the cute old town with beautiful views of the mountains and the lakes. We were there just a few nights in October and the weather was a bit cold and rainy. We walked along the lake and enjoyed the views, walking all the way to the transportation museum which we stopped in to get a water, but did not visit the attraction. I must say, it looked really cool and all the kids looked happy. Don't miss the lion statue, so much more magnificent than the photos give it justice. Walked out of the hotel to the left and got a great Indian dinner at GormIndia. Really great place. Highly recommend! Beautiful, clean, safe, and easy to navigate city from this hotel. It is expensive to stay in this town though.

Yelp
The location of the hotel is super, very close to the river, train station, and main shopping street. The single room was a bit small however it is nice and clean. The amenities such as body lotion, sewing kit etc are very weak. The breakfast is a OK better than the places around the hotel. One morning we tried a place close to our hotel an we paid a lot for very tiny breakfast. So consider having breakfast at the hotel which would be cheaper comparing other breakfast places. The staff is friendly and try to solve your problems. The worse thing about the hotel is the internet. Especially evening times it is very difficult to connect to the internet when people is at the hotel. When I complain this to the reception they did not want to believe, but even their desk top computer in the lobby was not working. Well as a conclusion, it was a nice stay in Luzern...

Yelp
I booked 3 nights at this hotel through booking.com for May 7-9, 2019. Two hours later, I learned that my daughter is pregnant and is due at the end of May next year, so we decided to cancel our whole trip to Europe. Despite an appeal from booking.com to the hotel to allow us to cancel the reservation, they refused, so I am out $500 for a room at a hotel that I would never consider using. This kind of unprofessional, arrogant attitude will cost them customers, end their relationship with travel sites and travel agencies, and reverberate to their detriment from reviews like this on yelp and other sites.

Yelp
Clean and modern looking hotel. The location is right on the river and very close to most of the attractions. It's also located very close to the train station.
