Amet Haveli, A Heritage hotel, Udaipur

We spent 2 nights at Amet Haveli on our way to an Indian wedding in the hills outside Udaipur. It was the perfect start to our holiday. The hotel was peaceful, beautiful, friendly, luxurious without being over the top, and very good value for money. Our room (huge with a lakeside view and enormous bathroom) was comfortable and very special. The views across the lake were extraordinary, and you felt as if you were at the centre of everything whilst being in a quiet and peaceful spot. The position of the restuarant is the envy of every other hotel in Udaipur. The food and service were superb, and breakfast under the trees looking across the lake to the nearby ghat with black kites swooping around was especially memorable. Thank you to the wonderful staff.

Absolutely amazing experience! 💕 The stay was not only beautiful but also incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect—peaceful, scenic, and close to major attractions. The food was delicious with a variety of options, and the view from our room was breathtaking. Room service was prompt, professional, and made us feel truly pampered. Every detail was well thought out, making it a truly memorable getaway. Highly recommend for anyone looking for relaxation and luxury!

Location, food and staff are very helpful. Highly recommend as it has an excellent view of Lake Pichola. Only small drawback was the narrow access road which we were not aware earlier. Rest all are very good.

The hotel is nothing short of fabulous! The restaurant cuisine is delicious and the staff are very attentive and professional. You are left wanting for nothing. Vijay Singh Chouhan was our breakfast waiter for 2 mornings and his service was faultless. He was extremely attentive and only too happy to oblige. Wonderful facility and staff. Thank you everyone.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday-eve with a private candlelight dinner at Badi Mahal, Amet Haveli, and it was absolutely magical. The setting — flowers, candle décor, and a private lakeside garden with stunning Lake Pichola views — made it unforgettable. The menu was curated to our preferences, and we especially enjoyed the Rajasthani cuisine along with wine and a special cake. The food was excellent, authentic, and beautifully presented. A big thank you to Ms. Poonam Bakshi and Arun ji, who took care of us throughout, and to Ms. Jayanti, who managed everything seamlessly in the background. The hospitality was warm, attentive, and made the evening truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion in Udaipur. 💛

The location of the hotel is very good and the rooms are clean. But the service is quite bad considering the amount the hotel charges per night. There is almost no room service facility (except 4-6pm), even though you are paying 12k per night. It is only available to certain guests, and if provided, then no food/ snacks options. Staff is very uncooperative, as rightly mentioned by other guests. I expected a much better experience, disappointed having paid so much.
