The location of the hotel is very good and the rooms are clean. But the service is quite bad considering the amount the hotel charges per night. There is almost no room service facility (except 4-6pm), even though you are paying 12k per night. It is only available to certain guests, and if provided, then no food/ snacks options. Staff is very uncooperative, as rightly mentioned by other guests. I expected a much better experience, disappointed having paid so much.

Situated on the edge of the lake, this centrally located hotel is near all the Udaipur attractions. Sitting on the hotel restaurant terrace watching the sunset over the lake is a magical experience. The hotel is laid out around a series of beautifully landscaped quiet courtyards some of which date back to the 18th century. The rooms are clean and spacious. Many have views of the lake. The staff if friendly and courteous. We had a very authentic and highly enjoyable experience staying at Amet Haveli.

Stunning architecture and views of the lake. Large and comfortable room with windows opening onto the lake. Very friendly and helpful staff. Some parts are still being renovated but this was not an issue.

Me & my wife spent 2 peaceful nights at Amet Haveli in early July, and it felt like stepping into a timeless Rajasthani postcard. Located right on Lake Pichola, this 350-year-old haveli offers more than just a stay, it offers a story. 🌅 Ambience The haveli is rich in heritage charm, arched corridors, blooming courtyards, and stone-carved pillars. The real magic? The view. Whether it's breakfast or dinner, you’re looking out at Ambrai Ghat, City Palace, and the floating Taj Lake Palace. Calm, scenic, unforgettable. 🛏️ The Stay Our Lake View Suite was royal and peaceful. Pristine white interiors, carved details, and a cozy jharokha-style window nook where we spent hours just gazing at the lake. Not a sound from outside, just silence and serenity. 🍽️ The Food All meals at Ambrai Restaurant were excellent. Must-tries: Gatta curry, puri aloo, toast & coffee, brownie with vanilla ice cream. Meal cost: ₹2500–₹3000 per couple. The staff was friendly, thoughtful, and even helped with photos. Even if you’re staying elsewhere, come here for a meal. 🗺️ Nearby City Palace is close by Boat rides on Lake Pichola are easy to access Local markets are walkable We stored our bags after checkout, explored more, and the hotel-arranged cab ensured we reached the airport on time despite traffic. Would We Return? Absolutely. For a peaceful, heritage-rich, lakeside stay, Amet Haveli is perfect.

The tuk tuk ride through the narrow streets of the Old Town to access the hotel was a great introduction to a little bit of paradise as you walk through the gates to this wonderful hotel. We were lucky to be upgraded to a lovely spacious suite overlooking the lake and palace.||There are several quiet areas to relax in the garden, pool area or roof tops as well as a popular and lively bar and restaurant which had live music on the evenings we were there.||It is a nice area to walk round, especially in the cooler evenings, we enjoyed a Folk Dance Show a 10 minute walk across the lake one evening.||All the staff were helpful and smiling (yes, restaurant service was a little variable at peak times but didn’t detract) and a special mention for Tapati in the front office who went out of her way to assist from the minute we arrived until our early departure 🙏

After Independence again if you want to feel that foreigners are preferred more than Indians then you should go to this place. Yes you heard it right. We booked this for 12000 per night with breakfast. And when we went for breakfast in morning we asked the staff present their what options are available in breakfast they just casually said we have omelette toast and parantha. We asked for other options so despite having options they were reluctant to speak and when some foreigner guests came they gave them a buffet breakfast menu which they are suppose to give to every inhouse guest in hotel. We felt very bad for this. So despite paying so much if you want to feel insulted then you must definitely visit this.
