MAN, WHAT AN INCREDIBLE CULINARY EXPERIENCE! Just left the restaurant, had lunch through "First Table", and it couldn't have been better! Gluten free and vegan options, the Chef (Anuj) accommodated all our needs and requirements, was on top of everything, and provided huge portions as well. Last meal in Tassie, 100/10. Super recommended!

Such an awful food experience! We just ordered 2 pizzas from Uber Eats and specifically marked on the order to not add any bacon or ham in the pizzas. When the order was delivered the pizzas were loaded with ham/bacon!! They obviously read the order notes because everything else was added to the order, but purposefully added what we did not want! Tried calling the restaurant when after placing the order to make sure order doesn’t not contain pork meat but no one answers! Not something you expect after a long days work and hungry for some dinner! Restaurant needs to do better!

We were with the family, ordered soup which came cold in this cold winters, taste as good but had to send it back to reheat. It took long time to reheat. Calzone was not good and had sauce on the top of it and pizza was OK. Service was not for up to the mark. Ask for left over food to pack including soup but we didn't get the soup back.

From 5 stars to 1. Food was terrible, service was awful. Took 30 minutes to ask us for an order and did not even offer drinks to start with. Manager kept apologizing about the wait because they want to make sure everything is cooked well... before we had even ordered. The only activity seemed to be food going out the door for takeaway and Uber eats. Maybe this is what they should do full time because the dine in experience is awful.

Takeaway tonight. Gnocchi Matriciana. Dreadful! $25 down the drain. I have never seen or tasted mush that is supposed to be gnocchi. So disappointing and we won't be back. Yuck.

Absolutely stunning customer service, we had an opportunity to talk with the owner of the business, he is an absolute gentleman. Highly passionate about his business and the quality of food he is serving. Personally I am a big fan of the businesses who comes to you and ask for a feedback of the food which we choose, it sets an example of what the business of about. Coming into the food, the food was great, we did an issue with the pasta that was served but the owner was upfront about the fact, it wasn’t perfect as it should be (I honestly loved his honesty), apart from that we loved the other dishes, the pizza was amazing and the salmon was extraordinary. A big shout out to the restaurant, i am happy to spend my money there anytime and on any day.

We came in with a big group and they accommodated for us so well. The food was great and the manager was super nice and friendly and very understanding and patient with all the allergy requirements the group had and gave us menu recommendations as well We had a coeliac in the group and they were greatly accommodated for! Rosie was our main waitress and she was fantastic! So sweet and kind and very competent. She was on top of everything and did it with a smile! Defiantly recommend this place :) thank you!

Way over priced food was average at best and serving size was small. I order garlic prawn gnocchi and paid a total of $41 I ordered a main size. I am not a big eater and usually an entree size will do me fine. The main size that I received was definitely more of an enter size. The gnocchi itself was terrible and tasted like The fake mash potatoe. With a horrible texture and terrible flavour. We also ordered a Margarita pizza for $25 again for the price and size of the pizza not worth it. Along with bolognese that was 95 percent Pasteur and not much else. Again expensive for what we received. We have eaten here before an absolutely loved it but I believe that the restaurant has recently changed hands and it shows.

Yelp
We booked a table at 6.30pm in order to be able to put the kids down in bed on time. Even though we kindly reminded our waitress 4 times, our food never been served after 75 min. There were many tables waiting and the waitresses didnt have a clue what they were doing. When we asked for a bread for kids to chew on, they brought few pieces of old/hard bread in 20 min. They brought the wrong wine and when we finally decided to leave without eating after 75min they charged us for it and said they will 'not' charge us for the bread.!? I happened to see the food been served to another table while waiting and with all my honesty I can tell that it was not good but any means. So if you wish to eat some good italian food on time, stat away from this place.!

Yelp
I'm currently in Amici, visiting from Adelaide and used Yelp to find a local restaurant to dine at. Only 2 reviews... But hey let's check it out anyway. A bit of a trek from the tourist spots of Salamanca quay, and when I got there the place was fully booked!!! But I was squeezed in if quick and coz I was by myself all good. The service was great, very friendly staff. Lovely lively buzz to the place and the food was great. Bruschetta to start with marinara fettuccine for the main. Long black to finish off. Red wine was a nice selection of local Oz and Italian. All round well worth the walk. Only advise is to phone ahead and book a table

Yelp
When a business has been around for a while, and it is flat out busy, it says that there must be something good going on. This place is one of those. The staff don't stand still, unless they are talking to a customer. Then they will take all the time in the world. Everyone one that I spoke to was friendly, and willing to chat. The food was amazing. Perfectly cooked, and very well presented. So much so they we are going back again tonight rather than trying something else. When you are on holidays it is great to find such an enjoyable place.

Yelp
Excellent spot for pizza in Hobart (if you're spending ALL of your time hanging out at Salamanca exclusively, you're doing it wrong...wander about fifteen minutes north along Elizabeth and you'll find yourself in a different galaxy of restaurants and shops, known as [brace yourself] North Hobart). Since we only tried pizza once while in town, I can't say whether it was the best, but it definitely was a good pick for us. We tend to like a more substantial crust, and Amici satisfied this requirement. We chose the meat lovers (ham, bacon, salami & chicken) and a divine union was created by the somewhat salty meats and the browned but gooey cheese. A medium pizza fed two of us quite nicely. To lighten it up, I ordered a small house salad that was fresh and not overdressed. Local brews available, good service, and a modern but not pretentious interior rounded the spot out. Several pasta dishes and other mains are on the menu, so plenty of options for the non pizza-centric. Get thee to North Hobart and enjoy!

Yelp
Located just down the street from the main restaurant strip in North Hobart, this relatively new establishment is a fantastic spot to get some delicious, authentic modern Italian food. They mainly serve pizza and pasta of which there is an impressive selection (many of which I have tried and thoroughly enjoyed). They do have a wider selection than just pizza and pasta but I have not tried many of these dishes. Inside it is quite small but the décor is well chosen such that it feels cosy rather than cramped. Staff are super friendly and I could not fault the service. They also do take-aways which I frequently make use of (the family pizzas are massive and great value).
