We had a brilliant meal here last night. The food was so fresh and tasty. Probably one of the best meals we have had in Stresa. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is just off the central square so a lot quieter and more relaxing. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

We came all the way from Bodrum, Türkiye, to visit this beautiful lake and town, and we’re so glad we chose this osteria for dinner. The meal was excellent — especially the Osso Buco, which was perfectly prepared. The service was very friendly and welcoming, and the garden setting with heaters made it feel so cozy. A wonderful spot to enjoy authentic Italian food in a beautiful atmosphere — highly recommended!

Definition of tourist trap. Even asked for tip after. Overpriced and underwhelming food—low quality ingredients disguised by presentation. They charged for extras that were made to seem included with the main dish, and even asked for a tip at the end. The only redeeming factor was the pleasant outdoor seating with live music. Wouldn’t return.

After reading reviews on here decided to give it a try. The reviews are accurate ! 6⭐️ if I could. Excellent spot, away from the hustle and bustle, Very nice & pleasant staff, including one who corrected my rubbish Italian, thnx, But most important, incredible food. Think I’ve died and gone to heaven !

Tried this place with Fabio's friends and we really enjoyed it The food was delicious and varied, with vegetarian options available The homemade bread and fresh pasta are definitely worth trying, and the service was excellent Egidio is such a kind person who truly cares about all the customers Yana, together with the rest of the staff, is a great support when the restaurant gets busy You can find this welcoming, family style place right in the center of Stresa

A typical tourist trap. Maximum price for minimum effort. The the lemon chicken was cooked more than fried/grilled, and the thin lemon sauce didn't really fit the dish. 5 small bit's of grilled potatoes had to be ordered separately for 4 euros. Stay well clear unless you are desperate for a table...

Have been here a few times over the years and always go back for their consistently brilliant carbonara, and have listed it as my carbonara comparison to any other one I have, I also had the octopus polpi on a puree of pumpkin, the pumpkin added a nice touch and the octopus was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Love this restaurant and will come back here every time I come to stresa

We were a bit underwhelmed, to be honest. Should have listened to the reviews. Lasagne: not the best I've had but also not the worst. Asked for some extra parmesan and got the tiniest bit with a sour face from the waitress. Ravioli: very average, we got a bottle of olive oil for the ravioli but the waitress took it from us without saying anything and gave it to another table before we even got to use it for ourselves. Carpaccio: very nice, enjoyable. Waiting time for a table: about 15 minutes. Overall: not very worth it. Won't come back. Wouldn't really recommend.
