Amigos Hotelito Bacalar

An awesome little gem right at the lagoon. The rooms are nice and very clean. The view from the room's balcony is amazing. The staff was super nice and chill. They make an excellent breakfast at a very good price and the little garden is a great place to relax. The actual star is of course the lagoon. Cenote Negro is right around the corner (but to the left actually) and I had the luck to spot a crocodile from the terrace. For nature lovers like us this was an absolutely amazing experience and I would always come back here and would recommend it to everyone who's looking for a nice, cozy and quiet place to stay in Bacalar.

What a great experience, small, friendly, well maintained and beautiful little hotel with a beautiful vista of the lake. It was quiet and extremely comfortable. The staff was competent and friendly. The food was good too (limited menu, mostly breakfast). We’d strongly recommend it. Horatio and his team won’t disappoint

Definately not a one star hotel given by google more 3.5-4 star. Great views & 20 minute walk to town. We had a balcony & fridge. Can’t fault customer service so helpful & kind with everything. Breakfast wide range. Well kept grounds. Rooms comfortable. Parking inside premises. Hotel right on lagoon front. Have kayaks for guests to use with life jackets

The location is right in front of Laguna, and the area itself is very safe even at night. Horacio and the whole team of this establishment have been very accommodating and professional. The room is comfortable and clean but small details need to be fixed. All in all, I had a delightful stay in Amigos Hotelito.

The location is the strongest point, excellent waterfront access, close to town and deliciously quiet. The host is most helpful with tips for bookings etc. Breakfast is available but we thought it was pricey. Our room upstairs had a wonderful view out over the lake, the bed was fantastic and the shower was great. Some of the fittings were a bit tired. All in all we enjoyed our stay at Amigos

We stayed 2 night at this hotel. I love their view where I can see the beauty of Laguna. So blue. What I like most in this hotel is that each room could use their kayak for free anytime, so we did kayak in sunrise and it is a wonderful experience. Our room has small balcony with hammocks, tables, chair… very cute. The hotel is nice and clean, great location too. You definitely should ask the owner for recommendations about restaurants. We tried some by Tiktok, and all were very expensive and not tasty. Then the owner suggested us some local places, much cheaper and very delicious 🤤. Glad we listened to him ☺️

A beautiful hotel located bit away from the center. BUT we loved our stay here. Our host Horatio and Rosa welcomed us when we arrived. He gave us some tips about the city and things to do in Bacalar. We arrived earlier than the check in time but we could hang around till then on their beautiful backyard and the dock. You can rent the kayaks and SUP for free. We went for kayaking the next day for the sunrise and what a sight it was! (also a tip from Horatio) We really enjoyed our time at amigos and we absolutely would come back here when we have the chance to visit Bacalar again!
