Ok. We had a flyer left at our house. We had zero idea what to do for dinner, and a little voice said look at menu, so I took a picture of the qr code. Once I saw the Hispanic section, that was more than just one or two dishes, I got really excited. I ordered the Amigo's special with chicken and the morcilla side. Let me tell you, I would fight a bear over every last morsel.
The boneless chicken breast was marinated with love. It was so tender you could cut it with a fork and the flavor was out of this world. The mixed rice had perfectly cooked vegetables, and delicious pieces of chicken throughout. The large breast of chicken was served over some of the freshest tostones Ive ever had.
They were crispy, but moist, and the onions tied everything together. The delicious green hot sauce is just enough heat to make you think it isnt hot until it is too late. It was served with a simple side salad and a garlic knot, but honestly, with this deliciousness, I had no time for salad.
Onto the morcilla, the skin cooked perfectly to where it snapped when you bite it. The filling is the perfect spiced balance between meat and rice. The plantains maduros, are the perfect compliment, and I have none left as it was way too easy to eat quickly. Seriously, within the first bite even our child who is picky said it was the most delicious meal he has ever had. Hands down, Id recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious food with extremely generous portions. Please dont ever change. Amigos definitely lives up to its name because you feel like you're eating a favorite friend's cooking!
