I was a bit skeptical after reading some negative reviews but the hotel and staff definitely exceeded our expectations. We got a free upgrade with our room and it was big and had a lovely view of the sea. Our room was cleaned everyday (even when we forgot to leave the tag outside on the door) and was provided with a complimentary bottle of water as well. The facilities were clean and not too busy. Great activities for kids - the staff were warm and playful (my daughter loved them!). Lots of choices at the breakfast and dinner buffet. Some dishes could have been executed better but overall, a good experience and plenty for everyone. The staff made sure that the dishes were replenished, plates on tables were cleaned away as soon you finished, and plenty of wait staff to take drinks orders. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and helpful. Overall, a positive experience staying at this hotel. The hotel is located near the old town - a nice 30 minute stroll or a €5- €7 Uber ride. We went during the off-season so a lot of places were closed but some lovely restaurants and cafes still open. A nice little town to wander around.

This is my third time at this hotel, and I'm very pleased. The beach and location are both wonderful, with a stunning view. The buffet food was excellent, but this season the food wasn't as tasty as it used to be, and there were no carving dishes. Last year, when I came on vacation, we couldn't find Chef Halil, who was so friendly and helpful. This year, we had Chef Gorjan. We didn't see the same level of satisfaction, and I hope things improve. I recommend it to everyone. Those who love the view can enjoy a delicious meal with wine at the rooftop restaurant.

The hotel itself is beautiful — great location, modern rooms with the perfect size, friendly staff, and a really nice wellness area. Everything looks and feels like a proper five-star experience… until you get to the restaurant. The food options are very limited and feel repetitive — the same types of meat and fish almost every day. For a five-star hotel, I expected much more variety and creativity. What’s even more disappointing is that drinks are not included in the half board, not even water. It doesn’t make sense that you can have free water in the wellness area, but have to pay for it during dinner. Overall, a great hotel with excellent facilities and service, but the restaurant experience really lowers the overall impression.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable week at this splendid hotel, but we would agree with other people’s reservations as to whether this can truly be considered a five-star experience.||There were many positives about our stay. Our room was extremely clean, spacious, comfortable and had a magnificent and uplifting sea view.||The hotel in general felt classy and high-end and the staff on the whole were helpful and courteous. Particular thanks to the reception team who acted to swiftly when these weary travellers left a bag on the transfer bus!||We really enjoyed daily yoga and wellbeing sessions with top teacher Jovana – especially when held on the rooftop with its stunning views over the Makarska Riviera and the nearby town.||In our week-long stay, we had a couple of stormy days but the luxurious indoor spa was the perfect place to hide out. It had ample sunbeds, pool, whirlpool and extensive sauna area. Be warned about the sauna area, as a minority of guests clearly preferred a fully naked experience, which we were not expecting.||We were half-board and used the hotel for breakfast and dinner each night. The experience was OK, but certainly not as outstanding as the marketing imagery would have you believe. The best dishes were often a once-only offer on any given night so if you missed them by coming down mid-service they were not replenished. There was not a huge choice of fresh fruit at breakfast which, again, would run out during the service. I would have liked to have seen some stations where food was freshly prepared and piping hot. The restaurant could also get full so there was a need to hunt round for a table on a couple of visits, which isn’t conducive with a seamless five-star holiday. There is no free water on offer in the restaurant at dinner time, so be prepared to pay your way for drinks, including the smallest glasses of wine we have seen! And don’t be tempted to take a drink from the restaurant into the upstairs bar as that is against the rules. We were made aware of this oddment very politely, but such silly rules and regulations again don’t make for a hassle-free trip.||The hotel’s beach is lovely, with the sea easily accessible – no huge rocks as can often be found in Croatia. The sea is clean and usually like a millpond in the hotel’s small bay. The path from hotel to beach could be made more accessible – again, a minor quibble in the grand scheme of things but important if the hotel is pitching to be among the best.||We were adults-only but the hotel seemed to have comprehensive provision for children of all ages, including dedicated, shaded swimming pools and indoor gaming centre. It would be an ideal base for a luxury family holiday.||Overall, we would recommend a visit but there is definitely room for improvement in the catering, beach access and dispensing with a few daft rules.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|Absolutely perfect stay!|Hotel Aminess Khalan exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. The rooms were spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable, with breathtaking sea views. The breakfast and dinner buffets offered a great variety of delicious, fresh food every day. Everything felt thoughtfully designed for comfort and enjoyment.||We’ll definitely be returning — a truly 10/10 experience in every way!

Outstanding hotel that amazes you at first glance.|We were positively surprised when they upgraded our room, and think that this is a nice touch from Aminness that will bring us again to this magnificent hotel.|The spa zone was not crowded and had everything that we wanted to use. Dinner and breakfast were served as a buffet, and there were plenty of choices. A special dish that they have is soparnik, a traditional Croatian local speciality. Really nice that they cherish local cuisine and do not have just commercial food, as that can be the case in other hotels. Sea products that I have tried were very good, fresh and well prepared (especially brudet). I would recommend this hotel to anyone, but I were there in the low season period, so I do not know if the quality and service are the same during the high season.

The situation of this hotel was excellent. It has it's own corner on the outskirts of Makarska but is in walking distance of the town centre, via a greenery draped path, with ample choices of good restaurants and some bars. There were wonderful views from this 5 star hotel especially from our spacious bedroom with balcony and also the rooftop bar. The sunsets were amazing. It is a fairly new modern hotel, spotlessly clean with all the facilities required You have access to the hotel's small shingle beach where we enjoyed swimming in the sea and listening to the waves. The pool area wasn't overly busy but access to the main swimming pool was only from one end, so it could be a bit of a walk wherever you were situated. The swim up pool bar was fun and we enjoyed smiley service from the girls and lovely cocktails. There is also an indoor pool if the weather is poor.|I only have a couple of niggly comments Some of the outdoor upholstery was in need of refurbishment. The buffet food could have been better. Some was luke warm and overcooked and dishes quite repetitive. So I'd advise you to opt for the bed and breakfast option as there are lovely restaurants nearby.|All in all we enjoyed our holiday Have happy memories & would return.

Our family had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. We were traveling with two children, and everything - from the food to the cleanliness, the attentive service, the kids’ animation program, and the evening entertainment, was absolutely outstanding. We also greatly enjoyed the spa and massage treatments. We took several sessions and were very impressed with both the quality of the service and the overall spa experience. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way, and we are certain that we will return again in the future. Highly recommended!
