I have lived at AMLI Wynwood and have consistently paid my rent on time. While the property itself is okay. (I do have mold in my apartment) My recent experience with management has been extremely disappointing.
I attempted to transfer to a sister property within the AMLI community. When that transfer fell through due to the other building’s unwillingness to work with me, AMLI Wynwood suddenly attempted to force me to vacate my apartment early, they told me I have 3 days to be out — despite the fact that I have a valid lease through March 9 and never signed any early termination or lease cancellation agreement.
The lack of accountability, communication, and basic empathy throughout this process has been frustrating. Rather than working with a long-standing resident in good faith, management created unnecessary stress and confusion around my housing situation.
I expected far better treatment from a luxury apartment community, especially toward a resident with a solid payment history. Prospective tenants should be cautious and ensure everything is clearly documented in writing.
UPDATE:
I’m updating this review to clarify recent developments, as management is now attempting to rewrite the situation after the fact.
I hired independent mold inspectors and access to the HVAC closet was denied multiple times, despite my written requests. I was repeatedly told that maintenance would handle it instead, which is not the same as allowing proper third-party testing. Because access was restricted, full and accurate testing could not be performed at the time.
When maintenance finally opened the HVAC closet, visible mold growth was present, which I personally observed. This directly contradicts management’s current claim that access was “never denied.”
Additionally, management is now denying that they attempted to force me to vacate early. That is also incorrect. I was repeatedly pressured to leave before my lease end date and was even sent early lease termination documentation, seemingly in the hope I would sign it. I did not.
For clarity:
• I never signed an early termination
• I never agreed to vacate early
• I repeatedly stated my intent to remain through the end of my lease
• I have written documentation supporting this
I am leaving this update to accurately reflect what occurred, as the narrative being presented now does not match the documented timeline or my lived experience. Prospective tenants should be aware of how serious health and access issues are handled here when concerns arise.
