Amomoxtli

My husband and I stayed at Amomoxtli from a Sunday to Wednesday as part of our honeymoon, and absolutely loved our experience! Every member of staff was kind and attentive, especially Edguardo, who helped us as we arrived, and continued to check on us throughout our stay. Since Tepoztlán is more of a weekend town for tourists, we decided to take advantage of the hotel and stayed put for the majority of our stay. We ate every meal at the hotel for two and a half days, and were very happy with each selection. Whether it was pizza served by the pool or breakfast or dinner served in the restaurant, each meal was top quality. We also scheduled services at the spa for a massage and facial each. Again, we were so pleased with our services! The technicians are welcoming and are sure to explain what your service will entail, and asked about any worries. Amomxtli also hosts little events and workshops throughout the week, which are a nice way to change up your routine if you intend to laze around the property for the entirety of your stay. I attended a morning yoga class and it was the ideal relaxing way to start the day. The hotel and surrounding scenery are truly stunning, and the staff worked quietly in the background to ensure it stayed that way. The suite we stayed in was cozy and quiet, and anything we needed arrived within minutes of calling the front desk. I really couldn't rave about this place and staff enough! If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we'll be sure to book in for a few more days.

The overall atmosphere was very tranquil and relaxing! We were taken away by there sheer beauty of this location with the mountain backdrop and amazing views directly from the pool. The room had a natural elegance, unique aroma and was quite comfortable with our very own fireplace! Also, the restaurant (Michelin star) was superb and absolutely delicious! The road getting here is a bit bumpy but all in all worth the experience and very clean with attentive staff.

This hotel is stunning, nestled at the foothills of some of the most stunning mountains we have ever seen. The property has a natural, tropical environment, calm, relaxing and beautiful. The staff here has been wonderful, they make you feel as if you are the priority , service is seamless and the food and drinks were delicious. ||Morning coffee or tea service left outside the room in a cut basket, turn down service to included chocolates and Mexican wedding cookies. ||The town is cute and fun but it was nice to escape into the tropical beauty of this amazing resort. Highly recommend this hotel and a trip to Tepoztlan. ❤️❤️

I’m extremely frustrated with my experience. The price to stay here is very high. And I was happy to spend the money, for a quality time in a beautiful location. But upon leaving, I left an item in the my room. We drove back to the property to retrieve it. Only to be told it’s not in the room. I told them exactly where it was, because I clearly remembered where I had left it. They said they couldn’t find it. The item was a piece of clothing I had bought from a boutique. Even after all the money I had spent to stay here, I was forced to leave without this item. They’ve communicated very poorly, in my efforts to get it back. & I have since, never again seen my item of clothing.

Our stay was absolutely outstanding. The service was exceptional from start to finish — every staff member we encountered was kind, attentive, and professional. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. The amenities exceeded our expectations, and the atmosphere throughout the property felt welcoming and relaxing. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning soon.

It was an absolutely wonderful stay. The hotel was very well maintained and well appointed. Nothing was lacking. Everything from the room, to the food, to the service was absolute perfection. The pool area was beyond relaxing and so beautiful. The daily yoga was had the most gorgeous view and was a great start to everyday. We will definitely be returning to this little slice of heaven.

Stunning boutique hotel! We enjoyed the breakfast provided every morning, it was delicious and service went above and beyond. Edgardo tended to our every need and made our experience feel personal and special. We will treasure our time at Amomoxtli!

This is by far one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been to. The mountains surrounding it gives a feeling of being in the middle on nowhere.|The restaurant had amazing food, all cooked and prepared onsite.|The staff was super friendly and keen to help and provide and unique experience.|We only stayed for 1 night so when we left we were wishing we had stayed for a bit longer. We’re planning on making this a regular stay whenever we’re in Mexico.
