Amor de Mar

Absolutely gorgeous spot. Felt like paradise. Rooms were comfortable and characterful and the grounds leading out to the sea are just stunning. Very short walk into town for all local amenities.

Wonderful spot. Outside of main tourist areas. Beautiful peninsula but need to walk to beach for swimming. Breakfast here is wonderful, but need to walk into town for dinners. Roads in November full of potholes getting here be wary.

We stayed in the Magnolia room and it was beautiful- large, private balcony and big windows to enjoy the sea views. Staff were all super friendly and helpful as we navigated our choices on a first trip to Montezuma. Restaurant open for breakfast/brunch- delicious (Croque Madame and Huevos Rancheros were favorites!). The gardens leading to the ocean were an oasis of calm with lots of hammocks and loungers to relax and enjoy the surrounding beauty. The whole property displays artistic touches and design

Amor de Mar is a wonderful place filled with beauty, pura vida love, and magic. The views and proximity to the water is a dream! The location is just a short 5 min walk away from the energy of town and it is the perfect location to experience tranquility without sacrificing proximity to local flair. Each room has unique details. The breakfast is delicious and has some of the best views. The staff is incredibly kind and informative. You truly feel like they care and want you to have a great time while there. The team makes a point of connecting with guests and they expertly helped me recover something I had forgotten in the room after I left (amazing customer service!!). A long standing anchor in the area, I love and appreciate this hotel so much and will certainly be staying here again next time I’m in Montezuma. If you are looking for a hotel with unique flair, local art, and breathtaking views - look no further ✨🌸✨

Ah… not enough words to express the gratitude we have for Amor De Mar, Corina, and the entire dream team that made our wedding vision come true. I will start with sharing that Amor De Mar is a magical place. The atmosphere, the amazing staff, the ocean, the vegetation, the tide pool, the rooms, and the way it’s all so beautifully interconnected with nature. We planned our wedding for 1.5 years and saw so many photos of the hotel, but we were not prepared for how incredibly beautiful it will be in real life. I had to pinch myself the first time I saw it. You can feel the love that is poured into it. Corina was the best thing we could have ever imagined. She exceeded our expectations on every single front. She helped us plan our wedding, paying attention to every single detail, pouring her heart and soul into our visions, and going above and beyond. Corina took care of not only us, but of each and every single one of our 39 guests. Our guests have not stopped raving about how incredible their experience at Amor De Mar was. The entire wedding planning journey was fun, easy and we have gained life long friendships through this experience. I will never have enough words to express our gratitude. If you’re considering staying at Amor De Mar, do not think any further… it is a must at least once in your lifetime. Thank you thank you thank you Amor De Mar. The house was beautiful very unique like something out of a movie. The host were super friendly and very responsive. Breakfast was sooo good, must try. The town is walkable and super safe. We walked at night to a Soda near by that had amazing food.

We and our friends did not stay at this hotel, but we plan to next year. That’s because, when we had breakfast on two occasions, we were so impressed with the location on the ocean and the beautiful grounds, that we decided to go back and stay there. This decision was also greatly influenced by the exceptional service and friendliness of Corrina, the Manager, as well as other staff. Luis, one of the servers, was amazing. And, by the way, the breakfasts were delicious. We look forward to our return
