The hotel is wonderfully situated in the old city and is therefore convenient to all that the old city has to offer. The foyer is really impressive and I hope that some attention is paid to the rooms in time as they are looking a bit tired. The view from my room was delightful however, looking over the moat and the old city to the hills. The staff are wonderful and I'd like to make special note of the outstanding service provided by Grace. Grace is very attentive and helpful, and does it all with a friendly smile and a genuine desire to be responsive to guest's needs at all times. Grace is a real asset for your hotel.

I absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. Our room overlooked the river, and there was something truly magical about sitting by the window, sipping coffee, and watching the world drift by. During the day, it's the perfect spot for people-watching; at night, the view becomes even more magical 🪄✨. Last night, it rained--and let me tell you, sitting there by the window with the soft glow of the streetlamp and the sound of raindrops falling felt like a scene straight out of Paris. It was quiet, romantic, and just.. dreamy. The space itself is generous and well-designed, with great attention to cleanliness. The housekeeping team does a fantastic job. Overall, this place gave me a sense of calm and beauty. I am coming back here.

An older hotel that has been renovated in a great location right in the heart of old town of Chiang Mai. I stayed in the regular room the first night and the aircon was a bit noisy. Next night though I moved to the suite and that was absolutely fantastic. I’d say it’s probably one of the best suites you could get in old town. Incredibly spacious and luxurious. It’s worth paying more for the suite for sure. You can pretty much walk to most of places of interest from here, including the weekend market. Staff were amazing. A great choice if you want to be in old town.

Good location , near old town gate. However i dont think this hotel deserve even a 3 star rating. Stupid bed frame was protruding out n caused me to knock into it and injured myself. The furniture have lots of dirty stains and dusty. Once I saw the cleaning staff outside cleaning another room and requested to change my towel that I just used. She rejected my request with a black face. Last place to expect this especially in the land of smiles. Security in hotel needs upgrading. No need to scan hotel card to go up the room, and yet hard to access my room with room card. The view was marred by lots of pigeon shit outside the window...

I stayed one week at The Amora Tha Phae Hotel. This hotel is superb! I was so lucky to have chosen “The Amora” for my week in beautiful Chiang Mai! The room was excellent with beautiful wood flooring, a great safe for valuables, and the location was amazing — right next to The Old City main gate called the Tha Phae Gate I believe. On the major nearby street leading away from The Old City, there are some BEAUTIFUL temples too! On the street farther down, at the corner gate area, there are a bunch of “massage parlors” but the street is not seedy at all. The swimming pool was perfect and I used the small gym about four times. I would have loved seeing the pool and gym open to 9P or 10P instead of 7P — my only recommendation. In the gym, the equipment was fine but having free dumbbells and air conditioning instead of a large fan would be an improvement in addition to having both pool and gym stay open later. I liked the treadmill very much. Also, The Amora is a high rise building that stood out so it made for a good visual landmark when returning. Did I mention what a great value this hotel is??||The main area with the hotel check-in desk, restaurants, elevators, stair cases, etc. was gorgeous. There is an activities desk where I arranged an excellent trip up to Chiang Rai to see the white temple, the blue temple, the black museum, etc. Finally, I had breakfast one day at the hotel, and it was excellent! The hotel staff were extremely polite and professional. I really enjoyed speaking with the bellman in front who assisted me.||I will only stay at this hotel the next time l am in Chiang Mai; I highly-recommend The Amora Tapae! Why this hotel is a four-star hotel and not a five-star hotel makes no sense…..

Stayed here 4 times so far, never disappointed. Especially the staff and location are perfect. Like some others mentioned, the hotel should consider some renovation/modernization in the next years to stay up to date. Happy to come back again at some point.

Very good location, I booked a Deluxe Mountain View room for my parents in law, but they gave me another room type without saying anything. I have lived in Chiang Mai for several years, when I saw it was the wrong type then I called them immediately, the front desk said it was their fault because they gave all Mountain View rooms to other customers since they were a group, we could change to Mountain View type the next day! I booked the room three weeks in advance, can’t believe they didn’t keep a room for me and gave me the wrong one without saying anything! If I didn’t call them at the first day, I don’t know if they would mention it!

Nice clean hotel at a great price and location for a reasonable price.|Very popular with tourists from Northern Europe .|Staff are absolutely lovely.|Our first time here but we’ll be back !|Only one drawback. The shower is over the bath rather than being walk-in. The elderly or those with a disability could find this challenging , particularly getting out after a shower.
