As hole-in-the-wall coffee shops go, this place is about as good as they can get. I've visited a few times over the past couple months, engaging with just about everyone who works there and trying several of their drinks, and have come away thoroughly pleased with the experience each and every time.
The baristas are kind and conversational, and know how to make a good cup of whatever you're ordering. The menu is full of intriguing drinks many of which I've never seen before along with the reliable standbys, all made with intention and care.
Coffee shops these days are often money grabs, trying to compete with the big chains. This place feels more like a bookstore, where you're greeted warmly, given time and space to meander, enjoy a conversation with whomever is manning the post, and then sent on your way with something wonderful in your hands. Places like this are not common. They are not easily made. They a treasures, fueled by care, hidden away from common sight, and worth every moment of effort to find.
The coffee at the nearby shops are good. But this place, on the whole, is great. Take the time to go here. A lot.
