Ampersand is our go-to spot every weekend — it’s our favorite ice cream shop in Fresno! The staff is always so kind and welcoming, making every visit a great experience. The shop has a cozy, charming atmosphere, and the ice cream flavors are out of this world. We’re so lucky to have a place like this in town. Highly recommend to anyone who loves amazing ice cream and great service!

Unprofessional behavior cost you customers tonight My family and I visited tonight around 8 pm. The shop was busy, which is fine, but the service was unacceptable. One employee (with short hair and a black mask) decided to stop serving the line to flirt with a girl by giving her samples. The line was completely static as we all watched this display. It was so frustrating that three customers in front of us left. We waited a bit longer, but eventually we left too and took our business to another ice cream shop. It’s a shame because we are regulars, but watching an employee prioritize flirting over her job has put us off from returning. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses it with their staff.

Phenomenal! Must stop if you are in the area whether you are looking for ice cream or not! First time ever seeing the option to have an ice cream flight, so got to try four different flavors and it was only $9 $4 a scoop of ice cream seemed very fair, especially for how delicious they were!

Delicious ice cream! Probably won’t be back to this location. On 12/13/25 Saturday afternoon around 2pm there was one lady working there and there were no other customers so we were happy we would be able to sit in and enjoy our ice cream and ask about the new flavors of the month! Upon arrival she ignored us and didn’t acknowledge us until we told her what we’re going to have. No greeting or nothing which I brushed off. My partner asked a few questions about the new flavors and very coldly and annoyed said oh that’s the egg nog .. that one that’s peppermint. anything else? Usually our experience is different .. My boyfriend brushed it off because the ice cream was good as usual. Then another couple walks in…. And it’s a complete 360 for them from the start…they were treated so differently maybe just a bad interaction with us? Overall good ice cream! 10/10 Customer service needs improvement

Ampersand is a local favorite! When I drive from home in Pasadena to visit friends in the Central Valley, I have to stop! They always have fresh and amazing flavors. I’ve tried over two dozen and always more than enjoy them. They also hire the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff. This past trip I purchased two flights and put them on ice! They made it to Sacramento and tasted just as good! The honeycomb is a must as is any flavor;)

I had berry Chantilly ice cream in a sugar cone, it was good i was afraid it was going to be too sweet but it was perfect, freshly made.

Overrated ice cream and terrible customer service. I honestly don’t understand the hype. Paying $4 for a single scoop is already ridiculous, but what made it worse was the rude attitude from the short employee with the glasses behind the counter for absolutely no reason. No greeting, no patience, just unnecessary attitude like I was bothering them by ordering. If you’re going to charge premium prices, at least offer basic courtesy. Plenty of other ice cream shops manage to be friendly and affordable and professional. I won’t be coming back.
