Very very tired . The only quality of this hotel are the view - they are amazing ! The rooms are very dated , all the furniture is very visibly worn , bathrooms are very basic - our room had a bath but only a hand held shower . On the night we checked in there was no hot water but we weren’t told that we had to find that out ! Day 2 and the water was warm but not hot - it was clearly a great hotel 20 years ago when they last spent money on it ! The WiFi age has yet to reach this hotel - we were offered the use of a conference room if we wanted to connect !!! Despite what their website says there is no parking - you have to take your luck on the street - we were here at a weekend so it meant quite a walk ! Shocking value for money & a clear sign you can never rely on star ratings or on hotel.com ratings ! Avoid !

Nice staff, good location - however photos do not match the actual room condition or specs. Very dated, run down. Advertised as having parking but no car parking - very expensive also, would not recommend unfortunately.

Amphitryon Hotel is just very sad. It may have been a luxury hotel once, but it’s NOT anymore. Its maintenance is so lacking that the entire place is crumbling. Aside from the dilapidated condition, there is no access to the Internet in your room. Spotty Internet is available in the lobby. There is no food available at any time except for the meager breakfast. They promise 24 hour room service, but you could starve to death here. Helios Resorts has neglected the Amphitron to the point it will take thousands to bring it back to a decent hotel . It is miserable to stay here now. They need to sell it rather than allow it to be left in this condition. Shame on Helios! |PS: there is a great staff, but they’re working under impossible conditions.

This “5-star” hotel is really living off its view. The view is beautiful. Everything else is terrible. The hotel is very outdated. Please read other reviews before booking here. The showers don’t stay warm. The AC didn’t work, so we had to open the door to the outside the whole time. Bugs would fly in, and people in Greece party into the early morning, so we were awakened several times by people screaming outside. The WiFi does not work, and when I contacted the front desk, they just told me sorry, we are at full capacity. We ended up heading back to Athens a day early because we couldn’t stand being in this hotel any longer.

Furniture and electrical plugs require maintenance. The rest of the hotel is generally good.

We very nearly didn't stay here because of the poor reviews. Our experience was excellent. Beautifully positioned, with outstanding views from the balconies and within a few minutes of lovely cafes, restaurants and the town square. |Our bedroom was huge with spa bath, seperate toilet and shower and double wash basin. Bed very comfortable and the balcony with those amazing views! |Breakfast was plentiful and all staff very helpful and friendly. | Our room was on the 1st floor so had the potential to be noisy with adjacent road, but we heard nothing. Also, the balcony y here was very sheltered should there be winds. |Yes there are a lot if switches to manage lighting/ curtains but you soon get used to these. | I have already recommended this hotel to others - and we only left a couple of days ago!

Great hotel in stunning location. Rooms look out over the bay and are quite large and comfortable. Rooms have a fridge and a room safe. The only downside is no tea or coffee making facilities. Rooms are heavily automated with buttons to open and close curtains, which takes a bit of working out, including the window to the bathroom.most rooms have a balcony, but a few just have a juliet balcony.

We booked 2 rooms for the 3 of us, my mother and my son and I. 5 stars for hotel location and view. 1 star for the rest. Not the employees fault. They are severely understaffed, there is nowhere to truly sit, rest drink anything. Pool shared with hotel which is above, u need to walk uphill. Pity, it could have been a super gem. Invest in your hotel, owner !!!!!
