This hotel is so busy it almost feels overrun. Full with coach loads of people overnighting or 2 for Petra and surrounds. It has pleasant decor and location in relation to traffic noise good but corridors with the number of tourists coming and going at all hours very noisy. Staff generally very helpful. However no water available in the hotel even at breakfast and staff hostile to you bringing your own in. Room cleanliness OK but my bathroom floor had lots of long hairs from a previous guest. Breakfast not bad, fresh cooked omelettes and a selection of fresh mezze and continental. No fruit!

Boyfriend and I stayed here two nights as part of an Intrepid tour to visit Petra. We were a group of six, including our guide, and we were literally the only people staying in this hotel. The outside and the lobby look nice but the room was not. The furniture was old, the carpet was dirty, and the bathtub and sheets were stained. The sheets on the bed were so old that they were pilled and very uncomfortable to sleep on. No way we would use the pool and Turkish bath, the water and area looked dirty. On our second day, a truck came and drained out the pool. The only reasons I am giving this review three stars are, the staff were nice, and the group dinner at the hotel our second night was really good! Tons of food and it was delicious!

The hotel was comfortable and clean for the most part. The staff was very friendly. The food was good, there is a buffet for breakfast and dinner. We did the Turkish spa with scrub and massage. I don’t recommend it for many reasons. It was a very strange experience.

We stayed 2 nights through an organised tour, it has a reasonable location but the room smelt of bad drains, the lights near the bed did not work, the hair dryer was a death trap only tape holding the exposed wires, only one electrical socket worked in the room. Overall, the room was not clean, AC loud and desperately in need of renovating.

Had 2 nights at this hotel. What a disgrace. Was given my room and the tv didn’t work, fridge didn’t work and there was a hole in the roof. 2 single beds pushed together with a bed lamp between the pillows. Moved to a second room, barely any hot water and tv didn’t work. Jacuzzi didn’t work either. Staff hopeless and unhelpful. Breakfast was terrible. Dried cheese and meats, raw pancakes and a coffee machine that churns out some unrecognisable liquid. If you can find the chef you may get some eggs cooked but he seems to go missing every few minutes. Don’t waste your money here. Also no water provided by hotel and signs saying you will be charged if you bring water o r drinks in to the hotel. All A/C in the rooms controlled by reception so any change in temp , fan speed etc you have to call reception and ask them to do it.

Nice and friendly staff but what an ugly hotel. It must have been nice back in the day but it is not only dated, it has a combination of styles that are cheap and tacky and nothing goes. The room is crowded with large furniture, bathroom has mold and broken crown molding, bed is stiff, pillow was too big and uncomfortable, food was so so at night, but breakfast was bad with plasticky cheese, old bread, and limited choices. We stayed there as part of 11 day tour and this was the worst hotel.

I stayed at Amra Palace for two days as part of a group tour and it was not the nicest stay. The room was grim - wear and tear everywhere, a portion of the curtains were not affixed to the rod, the internal lock did not work on the door, and the phone also did not work. The bathtub was stained and there was a unsafe plastic piece on the bathroom floor that kept coming off.||On the plus side, they had surprisingly soft, plush towels and breakfast was good, with excellent pancakes.

Appearances can be deceptive which is so true of this hotel. We were part of a group of 8 and, us being the only people in this hotel should’ve been a sign to leave immediately. If you want to try the worst coffee ever, try it here. Rooms are tiny so, as a couple nowhere to put our bags. The hotel is dirty. The Turkish bath area even more so ||If you are, like us, part of a group, my advice is to check into and pay separately for a different hotel||Only positive is its location.
