Horrible experience with service. Staff is condescending and underplayed my concerns. I bought expensive jewelry that broke within hours, and staff said it happens. They were reluctant to return and when I finally did I did not receive money right away. Quality of product is suspect.

Amrapali designs, produces and distributes tribal, fine and uncut gemstone jewellery. The brand has stores in India, Pakistan and London. The brand also operates a museum of Indian jewellery in Jaipur. The inspiration to start Amrapali Jewellery was the fascination that Rajiv Arora and Rajesh Ajmera held for ancient India, as it was the focus of their graduate studies. The Brand operates an Amrapali Museum of Jewellery, spread over a 6,500sq ft space and showcasing traditional Indian Jewellery in the city of Jaipur. The museum currently displays various types of chains, amulets, pendants, head and hair ornaments, earpieces, bangles and bracelets, belts and buckles, armlets, torso and shoulder ornaments, wristlets and cuff bracelets, rings and toe rings, and anklets, that have been collected from across the Indian subcontinent by the founders over a period of 50-odd years.

Well...I was not shopping myself and was dragged by a co-worker. She seemed to be gaga over this place and spent what felt like a million years buying all sorts of bobbles. She told me she'd have stayed longer had it not been for me. Good points for tagalongs...plenty of chairs and it smells very nice.

At first we liked the shop, their jewelry is nice and I bought a big Sapphire and Diamond ring. After less then a month the large Sapphire fell off the ring and we took it back for repair. After that, we decided to get it appraised by a couple of professional Jewlers in Delhi. Unfortunately, Amrapali has pulled a fast one on us, they have overcharged us by an additional 120% over the real value of the ring! Above all, the ring setup was not for the stone that was put on it. Unfortunately there is no such thing as customer protection in India but one thing is for sure, we are never ever going back at Amrapali and for the next few years that we are in India, we are going to let all our friends and colleagues know what a scam this place is!
