Amrapali, Old Goa, India - Explore & Book

"Attention to detail and effortless hospitality permeate every corner of this peaceful guesthouse - aptly named Amrapali - House of Grace. An oasis of calm, it took almost 3 years of renovations to convert the once-dilapidated villa into its current state of splendour, and today it feels more like an expertly run aristocratic home than a boutique hotel. From the moment you arrive, you're incredibly well taken care of. There's no formal restaurant; rather, a casual dining space where you're asked for your personal preferences. As a result, everything we ate was superb: a bespoke fusion of Goan and European flavours, with as much homemade, locally sourced and organic produce as possible. Overlooking the peaceful Zuari river, this is perfect for those in search of complete relaxation and an authentic experience. Ayurvedic massages will help you unwind, and once you're restored in body and mind, Old Goa and its picturesque Latin Quarter are only a 15-minute drive away. Truly a House of Grace. Highs Only 30 minutes from Goa airport, so ideal for a couple of nights before or after your international flight Just 5 spacious bedrooms, with gorgeous antique furniture and a generous price tag Friendly staff are attentive without being obsequious A true sanctuary, well away from the tourist crowds Lows Strict cancellation policy Noise from the nearby NH-66 highway Recommended bars and restaurants are a drive away for a change of scene and you're a day trip from Goa's famous beaches (note, the nearest beach isn't clean enough for swimming) No twin rooms" - Meg Lambert

Month of visit December 2023 Soups and starters were tasty. But we ordered Navratan Korma.. and it was not at all good. There was no white gravy, it was a semi dry vegetable.Cut Bananas were added . Atmosphere was good, staff was helpful.

This place is a little away from the crowded F C road. A small, quiet location and good food with good service defines this place. The ambience was also good. We ordered everything this was very good, Schezwan noddles was just how it should be, i personally loved it most. For a vegetarian something different from usual panner dishes, nargisi kofta was a good change for the taste buds. Masala pasad was not having sav which I missed in it, upon asking got to know that they don't put sav on masala pasad. The staff was good but service was a little slow, but looking at the food all the wait felt nothing. I recommend this place if you are looking for good vegetarian restaurants nearby F C road.

I recently dined at this venerable establishment and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was delightful, creating a perfect setting for a memorable meal. The Amrapali dal was a standout, complemented by the flavorful veg chilli milli. The lachha Paratha and butter roti were impeccably prepared, showcasing the kitchen's mastery. The staff's courtesy added to the overall positive experience. It's evident why this longstanding restaurant has maintained its reputation for exceptional quality over the years. Thank you Amrapali staff and chef for a wonderful experience.

Good food. Nice ambience. Taste was nice. Biryani was little sweeter. Paneer Amritsari was tasty. Rotis were excellent. Restaurant is little inside from FC road. Need to park vehicle on road.

The place is maintaining its food taste since many years... And I have to admit that the food here is very very tasty. It's a favorite for many vegan people since many years and is a relieving option with other cuisinea at a location famous for pure South Indian food. I have given 1 star less because the service is extremely slow.
