Thanks, the stay was... adventurous! I spent a good while trying to figure out how to lock the door from the inside – a mystery worthy of a detective novel. Adding to the charm, the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign had magical properties: it kept the door from closing properly. One ceiling panel looked like it was about to make a dramatic escape. The balcony offered unexpected community vibes – shared with strangers and a couple of very confident pigeons. In the bathroom, hooks must be considered a luxury item. Reading in bed? Only for those blessed with night vision. The coffee machine had a rich and complex history – just not the kind you want in your cup. Breakfast was fine, not much to write home about, but the staff were lovely – credit where credit’s due!

Absolutely marvellous experience, what an experience from the past. The hotel reeks of age visually but I was surprised how it felt fresh as a daisy. The elevator is 100 years old atleast, but surprisingly smooth. The young man at the reception was friendly and I had some deep conversations. The breakfast was a delicious Dutch ontbijt with high quality meats, the pastries melted in my mouth especially the one with almond paste. Enjoyed the delicious fresh fruits and coffee. The room was surprisingly spacious with a airy bathroom. But the best part was the view out into the square. All in all a super one night stay. Oh I forgot the safe parking.

By far one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Located right across the street from the Bookstore Dominicanen, this hotel is modern, exceptionally quiet, clean and comfortable. The rooms are spacious with a small sitting area, big screen tv, mini-fridge and safe. Our room offered patio access to a small garden, with two tables and four chairs. The bathroom is huge! It offers both a shower and bathtub, a double sink and a private toilet area. And the breakfast??? Absolutely fantastic!! NEL did an excellent job preparing our meal. Items were fresh and made to order. She went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect dining experience. This is the best place to stay for proximity to local attractions, dining and shopping venues. Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved staying here, thanks to the excellent location, great prices, and the room, which was a bit rustic but beautiful and very clean. The staff were very friendly, especially the one who helped me solve the issue with my room key. I hope to come back soon ❤️.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at this hotel. Great location, central for enjoying everything Maastricht has to offer and perfectly placed for the Vrijthof Andre Rieu concerts.|Our check in experience was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we arrived an hour before our check in time not expecting our room to be ready and it was , so that was a bonus. Our first floor deluxe room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and we had plenty of space, a large bathroom with a really good shower and plenty of hot water. Towels were changed after two days. Air conditioning was very good when we needed it.|Breakfast in the spacious dining room was good with plenty of choice for us, friendly, cheerful and helpful staff….it was all a very relaxed and pleasant experience.|We were very happy with our stay at this lovely hotel and will definitely return.

Location is perfect. Hotel is not sadly. They call it nostalgic and art deco style - it is not its just very dated and smells as such. The standard room is tiny - the en suite also tiny and separated by a noisy sliding glass door. The bed about 2 feet away from the toilet so felt like you were sleeping in the bathroom. The towel was ripped and had holes in it. Met some other couples. Those staying in standard room had same issues but those in a superior room had a better experience. Staff were nice. Can’t say about breakfast as we left early as couldn’t wait to get out of the room. The lift is unique ! If you don’t like small spaces this isn’t for you. Overall not worth the 220 euro per night. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but feel others should be aware this isn’t really as described on web site.

Average Hotel in the center. 50 meters walking distance to Vrijthof. To parc your car is in the same street, but be aware you pay 39 euro for parking overnight.

Fantastic hotel. Wonderful staff. I will always stay there in the future. Very efficient, friendly and ideal for business or leisure. Excellent location in this beautiful city, easy for the station or airport. Also perfect for Andre Rieu concerts!

Yelp
I love this special hotel near Vrijthof. It is clean nice Classic rooms with free WiFi. Perfect breakfast with view on the Vrijthof. But what i like most are the pillows. They sleep so well. Lovely. There is no minibar but coffee facilities in the room and hotel. Guatateed to sleep well on those lovely pillows. Best in town.
