This is my go to store for any upcoming celebrations and I can't believe they're closing this location after more than 40 years. I've always loved taking some time to look at their greeting cards, notebooks and all sorts of gift items. This store has always been well stocked and the coziness of this store will be missed. Thanks for being there for us for our celebrations and hope you can reopen in the area again 🥺

Google
A nice neighborhood shopping experience. I went here before the holidays to load up on cards, wrapping paper, etc. and also found little gifts for some people on my list: socks, ornament, photo frames, and even crystal gems. I assume it was the store owner who appeared to take pride in his shop. He was friendly and helpful - it's hard to find places that actually are grateful for customers "these days". So, it. stood out to me in a good way - which led to me writing this review.

I recently visited Amreen's Hallmark Shop, and I was blown away by their collection of Christmas ornaments! They have something for every occasion, and the selection is simply amazing. A few that really caught my eye were the Star Wars, Snoopy, Disney, Doctor Who, and superhero-themed ornaments—so much fun! If you're a collector or just love finding unique gifts or decorations, this place is definitely worth checking out!

Google
Amreen’s Hallmark Shop is the perfect spot for gifts. They have four aisles of greeting cards for every occasion, plus a great selection of mugs, jewelry, home décor, plush toys, candles, and more. The highlight for me was their Christmas ornament section—beautifully made, affordable, and with so many to choose from. I bought one, and the quality is excellent. The store is clean, well-organized, and the staff is super helpful. Great experience overall!

Google
Fore this falls under you don't know what you got until it's gone. Around Xmas time needed to find ribbon and cards last minute. The office supplies and pharmacies of the world had a limited selection or none at all. I had forgotten about Hallmark stores and happened to come across this particular one. Staff was incredibly nice and selection was huge

Store is set to close- they lost their lease. =( Sad as it was one of the few brick and mortar stores left to buy cards and cute gifts.

I did really enjoy shopping especially the jelly cat items but every time I go into this store I feel like I’m being watched they think I’m going to steal something. It’s very unnerving and very uncomfortable. I’ve probably spent close to more than $100 already and I don’t Like going into the store because of the vibe that the manager or store owners give. They don’t even smile. Sad for a hallmark store

Google
I collect Hallmark keepsake ornaments and after looking online I called to confirm they had one I really wanted. The person who answered was very polite and answered all my questions. I quickly went to the shop to pick it up and get some more and the staff were all very helpful with checking inventory and pointing me in the right direction. The store has much to offer and its bright & welcoming. I will keep coming here! Thank you for all your help.

Yelp
This is one of the larger Hallmark stores in the area. If you're in the area, they have a large card selection as well as lots of various gifts. There is even a second floor with more merchandise to check out. When it comes to sending cards, Hallmark is my go-to. I love the quality and also the gold seals to secure the envelope - it adds an extra touch. I am a rewards member which has a lot of perks including lots of coupons. Ownership on Hallmark stores can vary based on what types of coupons and how many per transaction they will accept so that has shied me away from shopping in person at this location in the past but lately I've been shopping online and picking up in the store which has been very convenient. They have great specials on boxed holiday card sets each year as well. Every time I'm in here I eye the NYC coloring book near the front entrance - they have a buy one get one free offer. One of these days I'm going to take them up on that offer.

Yelp
This was a real nice store hate to see it go but the landlord is a money hungry .company Phillips international they don't care

Yelp
to learn by WPIX 11 news story that this the last Hallmark in Manhattan last day is 1/29/25 due to landlord greed . THANK YOU to the family for their great service all these years hanging in thru Covid & then increase in shoplifting losses. You will be missed and are wished nothing less than a Happy, Healthy & Prosperous future!

Yelp
Mhew! After my visit I've come to terms with the fact that Hallmark is a dead franchise. If you're a minority shopping this store don't stress the fact that you'll be watch, followed, frisked & possibly cavity searched during your visit. The staff don't discriminate and follow everyone around the store as though everyone is a thief! Jewish, Black, White, Green or purple....you will get followed and watched. Look at a card you like too long you may get escorted to the back room and interrogated. Just sayin' Besides being made to feel like every customer is an assumed thief my visit was disappointing to say the least. Card selection seemed dismal with only 25% of the store stocked with cards and the other 75% of real estate space filled with "crap" and "gifts". I went out of my way for the "Hallmark" brand but never again. If like me you're looking for that nostalgic selection of cards, don't bother and just visit CVS, Walgreens, etc.

Yelp
It's so interesting to find a store that you go back in time that has a little bit of everything a very vast selection of cards for all occasions 02 floors and you can always find a gift or two to take home with or that last-minute item that you were looking to buy for a friend or family member The staff is super helpful they take time and showing you what you would like and make suggestions it's just a shame that in this day and age after 37 years of being there that people have stolen so many items from this hard-working family but come here enjoy I spent a half hour after I picked out the card that I wanted ty

Yelp
I was strolling on 2nd Avenue and I come up to this card shop and what do you know, I need to get me a birthday card by tomorrow. I was at the right place at the right time. Pretty big shop inside with plenty of space and merchandise and I see the Xmas card are out on display, most likely since July. And then I notice someone following me, a store worker for sure, because wearing an Hallmark apron is a dead giveaway. An low an behold they stop at the birthday card section and start to adjusts cards that don't need adjusting and blocking me. Well two can play this game so I just stand behind him looking over his shoulder scanning the birthday cards. HaHa, I think I spooked the guy, well it is payback for all the ladies he must of spooked too. He went to the back room somewhere most likely to check me on the CCTV and try and catch me stuffing three dozen cards in my underwear no thought. I started singing in my head; They see me strollin' They hatin' Patrolling and tryin' to catch me reading' dirty Tryin' to catch me readimng' dirty....... , HaHa I was having a good time here. Well I finally found a card to my liking and I looked at at one of the CAMs and put a thumbs up and headed to the cashier to pay for my card and hopefully never to return.

Yelp
RACIST and STEREOTYPICAL. First I will say that I've been shopping at this location for several years. My family and I have made this a Christmas-time ritual. Unfortunately we will have to find another Hallmark location. I sought to purchase a Keepsake ornament which was one of the Star Trek characters (Lt. Uhura). We specifically asked the store attendant about how the ornament worked. She indicated it was part of a set, but I could purchase it alone. We relied on her for info on how to use this ornament. When we got home, we sought to use the light up feature, but then discovered that a power cord was needed. We went back to the store and they confirmed that a power cord was needed. Note that initially, we were specifically told that the item worked on its own as we were contemplating whether we would buy it in the first place. We then purchased the power cord for $14.99. The ornament itself was $34.99. We had also purchased two other ornaments. I understand the store policy, but if the store attendants make a misrepresentation on the use of merchandise - an exception should be made for the patron. I didn't even want the money back. I merely wanted to exchange for something that I can actually use on my Christmas tree. The power cord needed for the ornament is bulky and not practical for use on a Christmas tree. I wish the attendant had not been so eager to push me into buying it. When I tried to explain how it wouldn't be fair if I wasn't allowed to exchange the item, the male attendant became very irate and spoke loudly and rudely to me. I was wearing a face mask. He kept speaking to me and answering as if I was being hostile and I was not. Eventually, I just put the items back in my bag and said (while wearing a face mask) "I'll keep it." The male attendant then yelled at me and said "don't say it's stupid - you people don't want to follow the store rules!" I am a Black American woman in my 50's. I replied that he made a bad assumption and that I did not say, nor would I have used the word "stupid" in what was really just a back and forth conversation about this issue. He never apologized nor did he say that he made an honest mistake in assuming I said something which I did not. The other attendant who was not part of the conversation just randomly chimed in that she heard me say "stupid!" She was no where near me and I was wearing a face mask. Both attendants appeared to be Indian or from a South East Asian area. I say all of this because it was very apparent that this was more than just my request to exchange an item based upon misrepresentation. It was also about maltreatment based upon ignorance and stereotypical thinking. I am a multicultural, well educated black woman. I am very cognizant of subtle racism and maltreatment based solely on race. The attendant spoke to me in a tone that was immediately defensive and assumed I would be hostile. He was so Wrong. I will not shop where people make assumptions about others based on race. When we initially bought the ornament - the attendant who made the misrepresentation was staring at my husband, 10 year-old son and I, and was also standing near us the entire time we shopped there. White People walked into the shop and she never went near them at all. They all may be stunned to find out that people of all races steal or break things in stores. I hope to speak with a store manager or other person in charge to let them know how the attendants treat their customers. This is not just for black or other people of color. My comments hear are for anyone who finds such ignorant behavior to be offensive and intolerable.

Yelp
The place has nice gifts of any kind if you're visiting NY. Not just the usual touristy stuff. The people who work there are very kind and helpful

Yelp
Had a decent experience here. I was on the hunt for graduation wrapping paper because my luck had me going from store to store and finding nothing. I called before I made the walk to confirm they had graduation wrapping paper. I was told over the phone that they had a few types- but when I got there they only had one. I didn't really care because I was just happy to find anything. There's a large selection (this store is 2 levels) of cards, wrapping paper, gift items and generally anything you'd find at a Hallmark store. Yes, they will watch you like a hawk. It didn't bother me- but was a waste of time on their part when it took me 20 minutes to decide on a card. Prices are on par with any Hallmark store (since most of them are set prices anyway) and everyone I spoke to was pleasant and helpful.

Yelp
To be honest, I only come to Hallmark shops for one - and only - one reason: to buy cards. Despite finding cards at your local Duane Reades, there's something about the wide variety you can find at a Hallmark store. Especially since many Hallmarks have closed over the last decade, it's pretty nice to come grab a card here. With that said, I don't have any other reason to come here because of that.

Yelp
Love this store!!! Came here 1st about 3 years ago and was blown away by their assortment of cards, in particular, Christmas Cards. Also, they have the BEST selection of "God Family" cards I've ever seen ! I went again today to get an early start on my Xmas cards & was was again almost overwhelmed by the abundance of great choices!! The couple that runs the store were very pleasant and helpful, too!!

Yelp
I work in the area for 12 years, a lot of us going to this store. I always checked out w/ other person, mostly w. a guy. Today, I met the owner, an older Indian Woman as in the picture. I had awful experience today, she was yelling at me if I wanted a bag, yes, I was listening to my music like regular new Yorkers, she could wave/give me a signal after 1st question. Usually they gave a brown envelope for free, Duane Reade giving it for free after the new state regulations for plastic bag, but this store charge 5 cents, not regular shopping bag, a brown thin hallmark envelope, she charged 5 cents, it was fine, whatever this is franchise hallmark they can do whatever they want, the only thing i can do to refuse it. That's all. Anyway, she was embarrassing me yelling at the store, ive told her to tone it down, seems she had a lot of coffee this morning, she kept going, it was my lunch time and had time to dealt w/ her, because this is not right at all, I didn't steal the card or did something wrong, I am 12 years customer (today is the last day though). I asked for a manager and she literally said "YOU CAN ASKED SOME ONE ELSE TO HELP YOU" and she left me, dealing with another customer, yes the person was Caucasian. She was so nice to that person, polite and wished the person to have a good day. I am Asian, I have brown skin and female. I looked around for other staffs, found one, I asked for manager, she said she was manager, I asked for the owner, surprise....she was the owner, her name is SANGGITA, ok I went to the counter asked for refund, she said: you need to make a line!!! Wow she still keeeeept going. its social distancing era, I know the rules, I wear my mask, I have bachelor degree from private university, president of several clubs, I am not dumb, deaf, what she did is a degrading. This is the way im being treated by this store after supporting it for 12 years. Not Cool at all. Please take your business somewhere else, there are plenty of cards store that a lot polite, this is New York City, discrimination not exist here. If you don't want to deal w/ my kind, please close your store. Its 2020

Yelp
Lovely items in the store. Customer service is terrible unfortunately. Very sad. I used to love Hallmarks. The store clerk's attitude is unprofessional and rude.

Yelp
This place is great - they have a ton of cards and the second floor has balloons and celebratory signs and accessories. I see some of the reviews say they were being watched - I didn't have this experience ‍

Eddie G.

Yelp
The attitude and customer service need an adjustment. Think they all need to retake a course in Hallmark policies. Very off brand. Too bad i can't give them a ZERO rating.
google avatar

Roma S.

Yelp
Non existing customer service. You don't get "hello" when you enter the store, you don't get "goodbye" when you leave and guess what? You don't get "Thank you" when you buy something either.. They don't want your money, shop somewhere else!

Cara L.

Yelp
This store has an amazing selection of cards, gift items, calendars, ornaments, etc. There is only one other card store in NY that I know is left except if you want to consider a Duane Reede card section a full service card store which is only good in a pinch, 24 hrs, etc. Where other reviews complain about customer service, I have never had an issue when asking a question and getting a response or help. I don't need to engage a person for a unnecessary chatter when trying to buy cards. Support this establishment before it will be become a thing of the past.

Yelp
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! I wanted to exchange an item but had no receipt because I forget it. The owner was so rude I will come buck here again! Shame on you!!!!
google avatar

Victor F.

Yelp
DO NOT SHOP HERE. The most awful customer service. Sold a defective item and would not accept an exchange. Manager's response: "It's not my problem!" No customer accommodation whatsoever since the item was returned two days after their customer-unfriendly policy of 14 days. With several closures for snow and holiday over the last few weeks the manager rudely goes on to insult the customer by commenting: "Next time buy the warranty" - a great profit driver for the thieves who own the store being priced at $29 for an $8 item. This customer will never shop here again, and I recommend my fellow Yelpers to follow suit.

Yelp
Shhhh. . . . this is where the Hope diamond is kept. Don't tell anyone! Okay - so I came here to look for a "Good Luck" card. These are generally impossible to find, but I thought going to a proper Hallmark/card store would give me more options. Not so - the CVS in Harlem had more "Good Luck" cards than this store. Besides that - there were workers everywhere surveilling everyone. This can only be because they are storing the Hope diamond on the premises. Since, how much security do you need to really have over greeting cards?! Anyway, the place is huge! I left and found a much nicer (non-Good Luck) card at the Papyrus in GCS.

Yelp
There's a wide selection of cards and small gifts available on two floors, which is nice given the area. The manager, however, was very rude to me when I was there. I felt stalked the entire time, watched like a shoplifter for no apparent reason as I perused the shelves. Even as I was purchasing an item, I was still spoken to with a condescending and obnoxious tone. WTF, do you not want business? Fine! I'll go somewhere else from now on.

Yelp
I'd called this store several days ago and had them put aside a (Hallmark) book. Meanwhile; when I went there today, I found two beautiful picture frames on sale for half-price. The store is large, and it has a great selection of cards & other items. The cashier initially didn't say anything to me when I entered the store, but later she became friendly and animated. I also met the owner (who I'd spoken to on the phone) and he was pleasant & helpful.
google avatar

Anikqua J.

Yelp
They have such a great variety of cards which I love! But the customer service is just so bad.... Hardly any hallmarks in NY and the associates wanna have attitudes...
google avatar

Jay K.

Yelp
The staff here is pretty friendly and they're helpful too. They have a lot of stuff here surprisingly. If you're looking for holiday/special occasion decorations, this is the place!
google avatar

Hannah S.

Yelp
This store is great with good selection. HOWEVER, the staff isn't. They seem a little rude and unfriendly. It doesn't matter who works there.
google avatar

Alison C.

Yelp
I think this store has a great selection of cards. Also good for anytime you need a quick little birthday gift for someone.

Nadine C.

Yelp
I went to this store for the first (and not last) time yesterday. Not only did I find exactly what I was looking for, but I also found a couple of cute things for an upcoming holiday party. I WILL be back!!!

Jessica K.

Yelp
A great Hallmark store. Always well stocked with cards, holiday decorations, nice gifts. The staff are friendly and have been part of the neighborhood for years.
