The boat ride was such a pleasant addition to our trip in Amsterdam. The captain was friendly and informative. They had wine or champagne available for purchase which was a nice touch. We didn’t finish the bottle so he offered to bring it to our hotel since we were going out to dinner. Nice touch. The cruise took us through many areas and out into the sea harbor. Highly recommended!

The boat was very nice. Elegant and comfortable. The onboard self service drinks were basic but a convenient touch. Some of the tour we missed as there was work on one of the locks so it was blocked. The captain and local guide was informative and pleasant.

Hands down 5 stars , it was 25 euros each person so about £21. I dint think it was too bad , it included free tea or coffee and the whole trip is about 1hr 30m long. the whole trip was nice and chilled , our captain Jan was soo friendly and insightful , telling us all the history and cool facts about Amsterdam, he even said help yourself to the drinks. Now you could have soft drinks ie coke , Fanta etc or even some alcohol for a price yet he was soo welcoming he said take what you like and you can pay at the end. wont give much away but heres just two pics of captain Jan and inside the boat truthfully i dint take much pictures as i was enjoying myself. I would I recommend this to anyone as it was a good tour and compared to others the boats are bigger meaning they cant fix down the smaller canals so you don’t get to see as much. please note theres 3 times for this trip a day and you need to be at the designated place 10m before the time given as we nearly missed it as we thought to have a look about and heads up for anyone who smokes sadly you cant smoke on the boat yet there are other boats where you can if you google it. but all in all family friendly we had a mix of people old and young and id recommend the later tour as less busy and more personal.

The overwhelming bad odor prevented us from appreciating the surroundings. The smell was even worse than that on the Zurich to Amsterdam train. While the buildings and historical features in the area are beautiful, the pervasive foul odor and the overall cleanliness are major issues. This applies to the entire center of Amsterdam. It was shocking for us to see such filth and bad smells in a city known for being part of the contemporary and modern West. Moreover, there were numerous people who appeared extremely drunk or under the influence of drugs, which was frightening. The fear stemmed from our lack of understanding of the city’s general sociological and psychological atmosphere, making us unsure of how these individuals might react. Despite the wonderful historical architecture, these factors made our experience quite distressing.

Amazing experience! We planned our destination wedding from the US through them. I was nervous, but they were incredibly helpful and responsive. Our skipper and hostess were very friendly! Anita was quick setting up drinks and a delicious dinner and was very responsive to our needs. I can't say enough good things about this company. Thank you so much for making our day special!

We had a vintage Venetian small boat and we were only 6 people on it. The experience felt very unique and intimate. Selim our guide was hilarious and shared so many fun facts on the city. This was definitely the highlight of our trip!

After taking a hectic bike tour earlier, the experience of cruising quietly along the canals was much more chill and enjoyable. The covered boat had beautiful wood trim (apparently it had been scuttled during WWII so that it could not be used for scrap metal), and then brought back to operation after the war and recently remodeled and converted to a tour boat. Of course not all the Amsterdam sights are along the canals, but you get to learn about what life was like along the canals over the centuries.

Yelp
Skip those large canal boat rides and go with a small boat and personalized tour with a native of Amsterdam. Our guide Jan was a first-rate skipper, guide, and a great on board host. Filled with knowledge and unusual things to see along the way, Jan was as personal and friendly as you could ever hope for in a tour guide / skipper. This was truly one of the highlights of our time in Amsterdam. The boat was small, and comfortable for the 4 of us, we drank beer and wine while nibbling on small bites, as we toured Amsterdam from the water. I lived in Amsterdam for quite some time and had walked most of the canals Jan took us through, but I learned plenty on this boat tour. Jan is a native of Amsterdam, and skippers' tours every day. I would not hesitate to recommend Amsterdam Boat Center if you're looking for a unique way to see Amsterdam.

Yelp
My family and I very much enjoyed our Amsterdam Boat Center canal tour earlier in August. There are many canal tour companies in the area to pick from and while this one is on the pricier side, it was a very nice experience and lasted 90 minutes. The boat itself is very authentic and was very comfortable to sit in. We cruised through numerous canals around the city while the captain (who also acted as our guide) talked about the canals, history of Amsterdam, and the buildings flanking the canals. The only drawback was the lack of microphone because the captain/guide was difficult to hear at times if you were sitting in the back and other passengers were talking.

Yelp
We went on the boat tour today with Sjord and it was excellent! He's very engaging and we enjoyed the open bar on board. Would definitely take this boat cruise again.
