Amsterdam Brewhouse

We made a reservation over the phone and the staff was very friendly. They also informed us that they had a separate area for us to store our stroller. Waiter was great and service was plenty fast enough. The atmosphere in this place is very cool. It's a massive restaurant, but still feels cozy and not too crowded when you're sitting down. Really enjoyed the beer flight and the pizza was some of the best we've ever had. Will definitely be returning to this place again next time we're in the city.

First time here, went for lunch. Had the chicken sandwich and fries, southwest chicken bowl, both were delicious. Had the lager flight, which was good but a bit of flexibility on the selection might be nice. Our server was nice.

Beautiful event space with a spacious atmosphere! I had the opportunity to work a private event here, and entertain with my fire show services. The space was welcoming and thoughtfully set up, and the management team was professional, friendly, and easy to work with. It’s a lovely venue for special events and celebrations, and I'd highly recommend booking your event here!

The location is definitely a highlight—situated right along the waterfront, it offers beautiful views. However, beyond the scenery, we weren’t particularly impressed. The food was average in flavor, and the service matched that level—nothing stood out. That said, the space is large and could be a good spot for a group looking to hang out, have some drinks, and catch a game.

One heck of a place, if you’re lucky enough to get a table outside, you will be pleased with the view sipping on your beer. They have quite a selection of there inhouse beers and their food is equally good. We tried a big plate of wings with different flavours, and they were cooked to perfection.

The place looks great and the service was really good! We had a super nice waitress and the food arrived pretty quickly. The food was okay, dishes in decent size and prices was fair. I had fun!

Delicious food, very huge portions! The in-house beer tasted amazing, even had a little store on the way out where you can take home some of their amazing beer! Only negative is that the tables are so close to each other that you’ll hear whole conversations from people nearby even though you try to filter it out.

The beer place, good options to chill out with fabulous patio seating facing water front. Food is ok if not good, actual plus is the vibe. Lots of casual groups enjoying the place, keeps an air that is happy, carefree and likable. That's a beer place needs to be. Service is ok. Recommended, take care to confirm table beforehand as at times the place is in high demand.

Great place to bring guests to the City! With plenty of seating both inside and outside, you can't go wrong here. The beers are top notch, with plenty of selection since brewery! And one of Toronto's top brewers for many years too, as you can see by their pictures highlighting their history on your walk to the bathroom. The food was good too, just check out my pictures. Best part was the view of the harbour, and in both summer heat and cold windy days you can enjoy the fact that you are on the shores of one of the world's most incredible lakes, without the weather impeding your enjoyment. Highly recommended and easy to access with a scenic street car ride from downtown.

Everything was solid. The beer was high quality. Disappointed there wasn't a sour available for me but my hubby did enjoy his flight. I got an elderflower gin thing that was tasty. It was definitely loud and busy and I can imagine it's crazy during the summer. Great view of the water. Server was very nice and the music playing brought back middle and high school vibes. Started with the calamari which was very good, the dipping sauce especially. Hubby got the Smokehouse BBQ burger which was huge. He couldn't finish it. I got the chicken bacon ranch wrap which was very tasty. The kid got a cheeseburger which he enjoyed. We all enjoyed the fries. Got the small donuts for dessert and the cookies that came with the kids meal. Even a day later, we can attest that the cookies are really good as we just ate them on the long drive home to Baltimore. The donuts were really good. Very fresh.

This place is big! And pretty loud. Which is fine. And the air conditioning felt great. And the drinks were cold and service friendly. We were just touring along on the city and it was a great place to stop while visiting Toronto.

We were in town for a Blue Jays game a few weeks ago and had no idea where we should go eat after. We found this place was in walking distance so we took a walk over, seemed busy but there was only 2 of us so we were seated quickly. The food and service were fabulous! The atmosphere was really cool too! We will definitely be back when we visit next!

We had lunch here while touring around the waterfront area. We were really happy to be seated on the upstairs patio which was in the shade, quiet, and had a nice view of the water and airport. I had the "Hoppy Flight" of their house beers which was excellent. The smokehouse burger was good, and the onion ring was a nice touch. This was definitely a solid, tasty burger. The fries were crispy and fresh. Definitely a nice option for pub food and beer with a lovely view.

Ambiance and vibe of this place is off the charts!!! So fun, patio area in September was BEAUTIFUL, and the inside was immaculate! Such a big space. Service was pretty quick for how packed they were post blue jays game, and after getting my spicy beef bowl with only 1.5 pieces of beef, they brought me out an extra side of beef at no extra charge. Food was good - I would not say it was great or anything in rushing to order again, but it was good. Beer list was great and we really liked the Mexican lager!

The food was very mediocre. Our group got a variety of entrees and we unanimously agreed that all the dishes had too much of a lime flavour. The guac was very lime forward, and so was the southwest chicken bowl. Do not sub out the beef brisket for a veggie patty for their burger option because it will be very dry and you will hate it. Not even hot sauce could save the terrible texture and bland taste. They use a bun that would be better fitted for a sandwich than a burger. I added a hot honey drizzle to the pizza and it was not hot honeying like other hot honeys that I've had. That was a definite waste of money. You can't really expect them to make good pizza, but at their price, I'd rather go to an Italian restaurant and pay a little more for a much better pizza. The beer flights were good. Before coming here, we knew that it was a brew house and did not have a lot of expectation for food, but the food ended up being even more disappointing and underwhelming. Its got a lot of space and is right by the water which is a nice add to the vibe for when you get together with friends. There are large tables available for parties and smaller tables and high tops as well as a patio area.

I had passed by here yesterday and saw a couple sitting on a bench overlooking the water and I thought what a perfect seat. We came back to try this restaurant and they sat us at the exact same seat that I saw that couple. It was such an enjoyable way to spend our afternoon. We ordered a beer and a lobster roll. We split the lobster roll and I couldn't decide on a beer so the nice server gave me four different tastes. I decided on the Mexican Style special beer. Everything was wonderful. It was a great place to relax and enjoy food and view.

If i could give 10 stars to Carlos specifically I would!!!! He was amazing our whole day was made because of his service, he had great recommendations and was attentive the whole time! Guacamole was a must try it's so fresh and their selection of beers is fantastic. The overall views and vibes of the restaurant are great

We were invited to a vendor event hosted here, and it was a great time. The drinks, the views and everything was spot on. That said, I did notice people waiting around to place drink orders, and the servers weren't always easy to find. A bit more attention from staff would've made the experience even better.

Stopped for a quick lunch at the Amsterdam Brewhouse, at the recommendation of our friend we were staying with. Being right on the water, it's probably a very pretty place to eat/drink on a nice day, but unfortunately we were looking at an overcast day with spotty rain We arrived for a later lunch, and were asked if we had reservations, which was a bit surprising, not being during a lunch rush, but we were seated. It's a very large space, a bit misleading from the outside. The interior is decorated with some very unique art, and creations, lots to look at as well made our way to the table. The server took a bit to come by the table and seemed a bit unenthusiastic to see us. We placed an order and split the "Hoppy" flight of beers, and a burger as neither of us were too hungry at the time, but wanted tot try the local flavors. Food came out decently quick, they even cut the burger in half for us and brought small plates. The food was ok, but again, the server rarely checked on us. We did notice they seemed to have a larger group upstairs, but the attention to the rest of the customers seemed to lack due to that. Overall, food was ok, the burger was a bit crumbly. And the beers were good. Might go back to try other beers, but wouldn't do a burger again, maybe a pizza instead

Great vibes! Lots of seating indoor and outdoor. The back patio faces the lake so it's beautiful on a nice sunny day. We had a party of 20 and there was only one waiter that helped. He was quick and really friendly despite it being super busy as it was Father's Day, and Toronto islands was having their dragon boat festival. Unfortunately they were out of the bbq tower, we were all hoping to try it. Instead I got the beef brisket, it was underwhelming unfortunately. It was dry and it didn't feel like it was smoked for 12 hours like it said on the menu. The pizzas were great and the flight was nice!

We stopped by before a Blue Jays Game to have some drinks and grub. Initially, we went inside but found out that is reservation only and they were completely full. We were told we could try our hand at the patio and went around the side. There was a small line and we were seated fairly quick. This place is enormous! For a Thursday afternoon they were crazily busy but kept things moving. The patio had an amazing view and we were shaded in our seats. I ordered some appetizers : Karaage Chicken and the Fish Tacos. The Karaage chicken was light and fluffy. It came with two sauces; chili oil and a honey sauce. This dish was just ok as I felt the sauces should have been a bit more flavorful. The fish tacos however were bright, colorful and tasty. My other half isn't huge on fish but I love all things seasfood. These were light and not overly fishy. We both enjoyed the dish. For mains we ordered: Brewhouse Chicken Sandwich with a Poutine My other half had the chicken sandwich and I didn't bother to have a bite, as I was focused on my Brisket Mac and Cheese He said the sandwich was good but just ok. We had upgraded to a poutine for $5.49 and were disappointed in the poutine that arrived. It was cute in the bucket but shoestring fries and a small amount of gravy / cheese. Boneshaker Brisket Mac & Cheese. This dish was an absolute 10/10. Those spiral noodles (cavatappi or cellentani) soaked up all the boneshaker cheese sauce. The brisket was tender and it had a nice smoky BBQ sauce on it. This dish is pricier coming in at $26.99. It's a definite must order though! I couldn't believe how cheesy it was. We love Amsterdam Beers and keep a large supply of them in our beer fridges. I however went with a Peachy Keen Margarita and my other half went with the 20oz Neon Haze on draft. Beers come in two prices $9.99 or $11.99 depending on size chosen. The food was plated beautifully and the drinks were cold and refreshing. The view is absolutely unmatched. Food came out extremely quickly which I didn't expect, especially with how busy they were. I'm taking a star away because as much as I loved the experience, I wanted more wow factor for the food. Would I come back ? 100%. I'll definitely try some of the other menu offerings. If you're in the area definitely check them out 2 appetizers, 2 mains and 3 drinks came to $160 + tip. So, this is definitely on the pricier side for a date night out .

Super fun and bright inside. The staff was super friendly and provided great recommendations. The drinks were delicious. Plenty of seating and not too loud. You're able to hear your friends while engaging in conversation. I would come back

I wish I had nice things to say about this. The place was super packed and may have affected the quality of service because we went on New Year's Eve, and even though it was busy, we weren't checked in periodically to see if we needed refills. It actually took us over 30 minutes to get a server to deliver us menus (mind you we had a 2 hour seating limit). The servers and door staff were pretty friendly though! It took another 30 minutes to get our food ordered and it... wasn't that great. I ordered the Korean fried calamari and even though it was good... I felt like it was overpriced for a very small portion. Most of the plate just had picked vegetables (which isn't exactly what I paid for if the main portion if it is supposed to be the calamari advertised) The place is a typical bar and beer house so while I appreciate that they had mock tails on the menu, it's not my scene and I probably won't be back, but if you like views of the lake while having a beer with friends I would only recommend the patio over the summer months.

We came here for lunch and sat upstairs outside. Lovely! It took about 15 minutes for a server to come by and even greet us, this is why I give 3 stars. Once greeted, the service was great! The food was delicious, just what I needed. I had the chicken, avocado, & bacon wrap with extra crispy fries. So yum! I also had the lager flight. My favorite was the 3 speed lager. So light and crisp! It's about 90F in Toronto today so that was a necessary refresher.

The best beer in Toronto. Love the bone shaker IPA. Great service and they have a shop where you can take beer with you.

Server brought our drinks and disappeared. Ordered the chicken sandwich it came out quickly, a little too quickly and was ice cold. We did get a new one made but after all that it just wasn't any good. Strange shape with 2 small pieces of chicken that didn't fit the bun and an odd flavor in the breading. The view is great though

I really loved this brewhouse ! Location was just amazing! You get a great view of the water and it's just peaceful! Food was also great! We had appetizers and beer. The tempura on the cauliflower was the best ever! Beer was also tasty. We had great service !

Service at the bar was great. Selection of beers was good I found a good stout which make me happy. Good was maybe 3 stars. Big cheeseburger, not so big, meat tasted a little old... You know when it's starting to be not so fresh. Not bad, just not good. Caesar salad was stale and wilted. Go there for good beer and service.

Amsterdam might have one of the best views of Lake Ontario in the harbor front area. I just wish the service and food matched the ambience. I got the pulled brisket sandwich with french fries. I wasn't particularly impressed with the brisket as it was dry and lacked much flavor. I wish the kitchen would have added more to the sandwich as well. The bread was a cheap white bun that was slightly stale. The french fries were crispy and seasoned well, sadly the best part of the dish. As mentioned above, the interior has a nice ambience to it and there is a large bar area perfect for watching a game. The service was slow and the servers appeared to have too many tables to adequately keep up. Though unimpressed, I would give it another try to see if I caught them on a bad day.

The wait staff did an excellent job with suggestions on the menu rundown. The weather cooperated for us to sit outside and enjoy fish and chips on the water. The view was great and a great first night in Toronto. Tip for the staff member at the front desk: if guests would like to sit outside accommodate them. Don't tell them that you can't move them inside if the weather turns cold. We almost walked out because we felt unwelcome.

Disappointed.. First I got the Mac & Cheese but overlooked the fact that it was made with "cheese sauce".. as shown on the menu. I guess I just didn't think it would be so close in texture and flavour to cheese whiz.. I couldn't finish it and my waiter politely brought out a brisket sandwich to replace it since I liked the brisket that was served on top of the Mac & Cheese. The brisket sandwich was decent... about a 6.5/10.. My friend had a burger with "American cheese" and didn't like it either. This place just doesn't serve great food but it's a vibe with friends in a good location with good service. Wouldn't recommend it though.

I had a good time. I was surprised at how big the place was they even had an upstairs I like that they have flight options so you can try different beers they have two standard ones and then they have a third one which is what they have on tap which is seasonal that's what I decided to go with and the person I was with did one of their standard tastings I visited in winter which is why most of the tap was darker they had a coffee beer option and a dark stout . I didn't love the flavor of the seasonal beers... I did enjoy the Vienna lager! I will say they didn't have me feeling bloated I was surprised that the food tastes really good their hand cut fries are delicious definitely give them a try the salads are good and have large portions as well My friend who tried the regular flight did enjoy theirs so maybe you don't want to take a risk with the seasonal ones. The ambience and view is great. The out door patio seating is highly recommend if the weather is warm and bright. Fish and chips 5/5 Fish is battered nice and thick. The fish itself is moist and not dry at all. The side coleslaw had a mild chipotle spice and complimented the fish. The fries were okay. Chicken sandwich Flavorful and the right size. Not too much, not too little. Fries were alight. Didn't care for the bun, but the chicken itself was great! The pickle sauce and salad paired well with the fried chicken. Service was a bit slow due to the growing crowd. I flagged the waiter down for the bill. Then after waiting for a while my husband had to go up in person to pay the bill. After all, we would hate to be late for the game.

This place was alright. The ambiance was cool, everyone was watching a hockey game but it got quite loud at times. Probably wouldn't go back, only went because it was close to our hotel. The sweet potato fries I ordered were super soggy and were folding over. Not worth it for the price I paid.

Well let me tell you about Ash. What a phenomenal experience. Yes she was efficient, yes she was kind, yes she was knowledgeable. But Ash was beyond all of that. She paid attention to even pick up and use my kids names as they wanted to order with her. She offered us the "parent experience" where she brought the kids drinks and food so quickly, not to mention our drinks (beer flight and waters) so quickly. She was patient. She was positive. She was simply exceptional. As a former server and bartender, I recognize the little things that I know great servers do. She did it all and more. I'm impressed. Ash all the way.

This was the perfect place to spend a few hours on our last afternoon in Toronto. The beer was great, the snacks were just what we needed, the outdoor patio was shaded and had football on multiple TVs, and the waitstaff were knowledgeable and full of good recommendations. I had the Blonde Lager and my plus one had the Downtown Brown. We split cauliflower bites and sweet potato fries at the suggestion of our server. Both were comforting and a nice compliment to our beverages. We will come back next time we are in the city!

Meh... burger was less than basic. My kid could do better. Beer was good ... got my fav ... Amber. Dani the bartender was the best part. She was fun to give a hard time! 5 for Dani!

I came here while on vacation. A local friend recommended I come here and I'm so glad I listened. This place has it all! Great food, excellent service, and fantastic view. Located in downtown Toronto, I had a lovely view of Lake Ontario. Very spacious brewery and fun decor. Mike took care of our table and was fantastic. He gave me wonderful recommendations. I loved the Magic Mushroom melt and my friend loved her Crab-o-Cado toast. I enjoyed the blueberry lemon mojito to drink and my friend enjoyed the Caesar. I highly recommend coming here.

Seated in a fabulous seat overlooking the water. That was the only thing that was fabulous. Food was okay, burger was dry and cold, pizza was average, fish and fries were the best out of all but still average. Great view though.

Restaurant is huge. There is outside dining as well with a great view. Unfortunately it was raining that day for us. We were seated quickly. Service was slow. Flight of beer which is the reason we went there but it was okay. Ordered platter for appetizer and we each got a burger. The food was okay, nothing really special about it. Not a place i would try again.

The store has a brewery space Seating is very large and spacious Outdoor dining area is also available In the summer a small lake breeze is very comfortable Inside, there are small tables with a lake view and on the second floor Overall, the feeling is very comfortable and chill Outside, there is also a separate retailer that sells beers. Each dish in the menu is paired with a recommended beer, which is good for people like me who have trouble choosing. Overall the atmosphere is very good but the price is a little expensive taste is also okay for people who live near the lake walk by the side of the taste It is worth mentioning that they have a wine tasting package for only $ 11 will be given four small glasses of beer (I see the next table to take pictures is very good hahaha) suitable for those who do not want to step on the mine, but would like to try all flavors of beer lovers.

I would give negative reviews if I can, the person who got us seated said 'I can help u get the beer' even when he couldn't. The internal comms was shit and i def dont plan to come again. Too bad they lost me forever

Went around 11pm on a busy Saturday night. We were a party of 4 and were seated quickly. We ordered drinks and food. My hubby and I ordered fish tacos- these were one of the worst I've ever had in the city. Minimal fish in the tacos and it was very fishy. I forgot to take a photo. In addition we ordered a poutine. This was pretty bad too. I've had better ones at fast food joints like Harvey. At the other side of our table, our friend ordered the veggie burger- she said it was awful. Very dry. When our waiter, Daniel, came by to ask us how everything was, we told him. He didn't acknowledge anything we said and saw less of him as the night went on. If you're looking for a place on the water for JUST drinks, this place is fine. Be weary of the food. The quality has definitely gone down

Amazing outdoor view. We sat outside on the side and had an amazing view of both the CN Tower & water. Ordered the Hoppy flight and fish & chips. Staff were friendly

We were quickly taken to our seats that gave us a perfect view of Lake Ontario. Fria Cerveza Especial, the beer I ordered, was perfect with the lobster roll meal that came with corn in the cob and chips. The lobster roll was good, although I like a bit less mayo mix on it. The corn in the cob was delicious! It's the perfect place to eat lunch in a beautiful day.

We loved the vibe, location, and concept of Amsterdam. Right on the water with lots of space. The drinks were very tasty and service was quick. The pizza had a strange taste to it, the chicken was very smokey and rubbery tasting. I would have opted for a burger instead had I known. The chicken wings were crispy and meaty. The ranch dressing had a little horseradish in it. I would come here again in the summer but just order my food differently :)

I had a mixed experience. On the plus side... a great location, architecture, and the food and drinks were surprisingly good. I was expecting a tourist trap with lousy food given the location but that was not the case. The reason it is not a higher rating is because it took forever to get seated despite it not being busy and the service was curt.

Ambiance: spacious layout, they have beautiful views of the lake. We had to wait 20min for a table over the weekend. Food: We ordered guacamole for the table and it was sub par. Thai rice was passable. We also got fish and chips, sadly this fish was dry. Chicken burger was good. We had a good time with friends but the food was okay at best.

The patio is great, and because it's so huge there's no really any waiting time. The wings are good. The cheddar cheese dip is not. I would not recommend getting it with your fries. I assumed it would be more beer-ish and hearty but it was almost like American cheese just melted. The drinks are good and the service is quick.

Love the ambiance and view. I also had a friendly traveler latch on to me. Fish and Chips were amazing. I'll be back.

Great food, really good beer, awesome views. I have to mention our server, a very helpful young lady Keta, friendly and professional. When again in Toronto, this place will be on the top of my list. Definitely five star.

Group of 4 had lunch on a sunny Tuesday afternoon. Seated outside, lovely views of the water and sailboats. Long line for outdoor seating but it moved very quickly. Our server Quinn was great, despite having numerous tables to take care of. We enjoyed craft beers, margarita pizza, the chicken sandwich (huge), and sushi bowls. All the food was great! Don't plan on getting in and out quickly here. It's a very busy popular spot. We had a lovely afternoon!

Amsterdam BrewHouse is a large restaurant with both inside and outside dining directly on Lake Ontario. They have a large selection of beers brewed in house and we had the Boneshaker and Space Invader draft beers, both of which were excellent. It has a typical Pub Food menu, and we had no complaints about the Brisket Dinner or the Southwest Chicken Pizza. The main draw is the waterfront location and amazing view of the harbor. Our server Eric was very friendly, giving us lots of helpful advice and making sure we did not run out of adult beverages. We are only spending a few days in Toronto, but Amsterdam BrewHouse is a must for anyone visiting this great city.

Darlene, Gord and I had an early supper Saturday afternoon at the Amsterdam Brewhouse. There was a long line-up to sit on the patio so we sat inside. I had a pepperoni pizza. My pizza was good ... warm but not hot, though Gord had fish 'n chips. Gord's fries were warm, not hot ... he said his fish was good. Darlene is vegan and had a veggie burger and fries.

Hostess found us a lovely table with great view of the water. So kind. Our server, Michael Ber? There are no words. He elevated our dining experience to top-notch party and we made a new friend. His recommendations were honest and spot-on! Wings, cauliflower and fish tacos all superb and perfect. He was friendly and so incredibly attentive to our every need. He went above and beyond all evening and made us feel very special. Thanks Michael, if we lived closer we'd be regulars and never let anyone else wait on us.
