The room was very clean and considering it was on the side of a busy road, it was very quiet. I slept extremely well. I was very pleasantly surprised, proving you really can get good accommodation at a very reasonable price. ||Staff were helpful. ||I will definitely stay at the hotel again.

Slightly depressing rooms (dark walls and ceiling) with furniture that’s showing its age. 20min bike ride to Amsterdam center. Secure parking for a fee or on street parking for free after 6pm. Lovely staff and good rates for a property so close to Amsterdam.

Stayed 3 nights. First night was terrible. At first, hotel staff denied that A/C was not working. 2 hours later, 2nd staff member confirmed that A/C not working, BUT, hotel could not give us another room until following day. Worst night because of the street noise- cars, motorbikes, bicyclists with loud radios, Website promises sound-proofed rooms! NOT TRUE. Only the rooms in the back are quiet, because they open to forest. Manager unresponsive-by ignoring 3 emails, he showed his disrespect for me as a person, let alone as a customer. Room on 2nd and 3rd night was much better-A/C worked and room was quiet. Rest of staff was polite. Manager needs hospitality training. Requested 50euro credit on credit card for inconvenience, stress, and one lousy night that cost almost $150. Booked through Agoda which advocated for me, but management was stubborn and refused to honor request. USA

Comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a very good breakfast, with easy access to both the center of Amsterdam and Schiphol airport, for a very reasonable price make this hotel easy to recommend. Although it is just 5 miles from the heart of Amsterdam, the local environment, the town of Amstelveen, is full of things to do. Walk, jog or ride a bike through the wonderful “Amsterdamse Bos” with its open air theatre, “pannenkoeken” farm and surrounding restaurants. Or visit the restaurants and bars in the old village. Busy, crowded Amsterdam's is generally the focus, but it’s also nice to have a laid back alternative available.

We stayed at Amsterdam Forest Hotel for 3 days as two people. The location was accessible by a single bus from Amsterdam Zuid train station. There is a large urban forest right behind the hotel, which adds a peaceful touch to the surroundings. The interior design of the hotel is stylish and modern. However, the room was extremely small and uncomfortable for two people to stay in with ease. The overall cleanliness was average, including the bed sheets. The biggest issue we faced during our stay was with the hairdryer. On our first night, after taking a shower, we realized there was no hairdryer in the room. We called the reception, and they told us they would help. After waiting for about half an hour with no response, I went downstairs to ask again. The receptionist said that the previous guests might have stolen the hairdryer and that there were none available at the moment. He told us to come back in the morning. This response was both shocking and upsetting, especially because we had wet hair and needed to dry it before sleeping. We ended up sleeping with wet hair and got sick the next day. The next morning, I went to the reception again and spoke with a different staff member. This time, they immediately checked the storage and brought us a hairdryer within five minutes. The inconsistency in staff responses left us with a negative impression. Another issue was the inconsistent housekeeping. On the first day, the cleaning staff only took the towels and did not touch anything else in the room. On the second day, however, a different team cleaned and tidied up the entire room. There seemed to be no clear standard. One of the worst parts of the hotel was the lack of nearby shops. There was no place to buy water or basic items. The nearest supermarket was 20 minutes away and closed at 8 PM, which meant we had to carry water from afar. Although the room had a mini-fridge and a coffee machine, neither of them worked. Additionally, the room was hot, and the climate control buttons didn’t function, so we couldn’t adjust the temperature. The window only opened slightly, which made it hard to ventilate the room.

The room wasn’t the cleanest. The bed had visible bed bugs and the Aircon made strange sounds whenever it was on. The price for the overall wasn’t worth the it. The breakfast is not included with the room, plus it was overpriced when it had limited options. Cleaning staff randomly barge in any time of the day without notice and don’t clean the room only make the bed and give you new towels. Receptionist was unfriendly during check in/out times. Don’t recommend staying here. Furthermore after check out, I had not been informed that the breakfast was not included in the price and I did not get any invoice whatsoever. since my flight was in the evening, I got to leave my luggage at the reception, but it made me uncomfortable that they did not move it somewhere in a safe place instead they left it right there exposed so anyone could’ve taken it and it made me very uncomfortable. The hotel room door made annoying sounds every time I closed it and it wouldn’t close properly until you have the key right on it the second time.

Small hotel south of Amsterdam City Center on main bus line. Needed to be in this neighborhood for a meeting. Stayed one night. Breakfast available for fee.|Room was modern, small, clean, quiet and cheap by Amsterdam standards; less than $100. Reception was professional. There is an elevator. Breakfast room is stylish and comfortable. Would have happily stayed longer if need be.|Good steak/pizza (yes, weird combo) restaurant across the street. Grocery store about 4 blocks away. |In the morning I consumed all the coffee provided in the room. Approached the desk and asked if I could get coffee from breakfast room without getting breakfast. Host generously let me get a latte. Thanks!!!

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on different dates and i would and i will come back. The rooms are clean, the staff is very nice, it is very accesible by bus and very close to bus station. Very easy to get from the airport to the hotel. There are a lot of things to do around the hotel and central station is only 20 minutes away with very good connections. I will come back and stay longer

Yelp
I thought the size of the room was fine, unlike previous reviews. I have stayed in much smaller hotels. We could also see that it is in the flight path of the airport but we barely noticed any planes from our room. Unfortunately they get 1 star for other reasons... It is a $10-15Eur Uber ride into Amsterdam (approx. 20 minutes), which adds up. Next time we will stay closer to the center. When we arrived, we were greeted at the front desk with a smile but the person didn't ask or say anything. It was very awkward. They did speak English since after I said we were checking in they asked for last name. The next problem was the bathroom. Whether the bathroom was an add-on afterthought or not, it appears their contractor did not put in insulation into the walls. We were here in December and the bathroom, no matter what temperature the main room is, felt like an icebox. It literally felt as if we were walking outside in order to use the toilet. FREEZING! Our biggest problem... On our third day here we decided to sleep in. We had the Do Not Disturb sigh on our door the whole time since we checked in. Housekeeping is very loud in the hallways. When they clean a room they let the door fall and it bangs against the hinges, multiple times, over and over again. Housekeeping also knocked on our door and tried to enter (the door alarm went off) even though our Do Not disturb sign was on the door. It was very unsettling because what if they had done this the past two days when we were gone just to snoop around? Now we have to take an accounting of our belongings... Lastly, a group from Germany was checking in at 8am and the guy at the front desk was very rude to them and told them to move aside for us. He kept telling them to move away from the front desk even though there was plenty of room for me to stand. I told him I didn't need that much room. He also made snide comments to me about them saying "can you believe this group is trying to check in at 6am?" Clearly he was exaggeratedly irritated at them. I said "it's OK, if I came in on an early flight I would want to check in too..." Obviously he doesn't travel much!! When he asked us how our stay was, I replied half jokingly that the bathroom was cold. He brushed it off like its normal for this time of year. Sorry but where I come from our bathrooms are the same temperature as the rest of the house.
