truly exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome — their friendliness, professionalism, and genuine care for guests stood out. The ambience of the hostel was vibrant yet peaceful. The interiors were thoughtfully designed, with cozy common areas that encouraged conversations and cultural exchange. It’s a great place for both solo travelers and groups — you’ll never feel alone here! The rooms and beds were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. I appreciated the attention to detail — clean linens, secure lockers, and good ventilation. The bathrooms were cleaned regularly and always stocked with essentials, which made the stay all the more pleasant. One of the highlights was the location — perfectly situated near [mention nearby landmarks or transport points], making it super convenient for exploring the city. The amenities like Wi-Fi, kitchen, laundry facilities, and rooftop/common lounge added so much value to the experience. The hostel also organized social events and local tours, which made meeting new people and exploring local culture easy and fun. Lastly, the vibe was what made this hostel special — everyone, from staff to guests, contributed to a warm, inclusive, and positive environment. It genuinely felt like a home away from home.

Well maintained rooms. They properly clean everything everyday. So, you won’t suffer a lot even if you have not so nice roommates (speaking from experience 😅). 24-hour reception and free tea and coffee at the lobby. Sitting area in the lobby is really nice where you can sit and work on your own.

The staff are amazing! ❤️❤️❤️ the location is perfect! We have such a great time! They were so warming, like family ✨✨✨ I definitely gonna stay here on my next trip to Amsterdam. The bathroom were clean and the rooms too. The price was good too and the location.

Stayed here with my friends and we loved it! The location is amazing — super central, so we could walk everywhere. The vibe was really fun, perfect for meeting people and enjoying the city. Our room was clean and comfy, and the staff were super nice and helpful. Definitely a great place to stay if you want to explore Amsterdam and have a good time!

The single worst hostel in Amsterdam. Only good points are free shower gel and shampoo and the cats living there. The staff is very hostile, they don’t know what hospitality is about. They just randomly barge in the rooms to talk and yell about whatever it was about almost every day. Some of my stuff in the locker room got stolen. And I tried to get some privacy with a sheet and I got YELLED at for it. Thanks to their last staff member, I had a chill last day we talked about the situation in this place which he entirely agreed with. Don’t go there.

Great stay at Amsterdam Hostel Leidseplein! The rooms were clean and comfortable, exactly what you need for a city trip. The staff were friendly and helpful, always available to give advice or directions. The location is perfect – right by Leidseplein, close to bars, restaurants, and easy transport links to explore the rest of Amsterdam. It’s ideal if you’re looking for somewhere affordable but still central. Would definitely stay here again!

No bed bugs. We were in a horrible room the first night, but reception was very accommodating and moved us. I would not recommend for someone staying the weekend, as it is over a nightclub which is loud until about 3am. Sunday-Wednesday nights are much quieter, and we only had 1 other person in our 6 bed room. Front desk is cash only, if you need towels or snacks. Free coffee in the morning and they hand out Madeleines at the front desk sometimes. Amazing location, near great restaurants and shopping. No elevator, and the stairs are very narrow. There are only 5 lockers per room, even in the 8 bed rooms. I really wish they would install some hooks on the wall to hang jackets
