Amsterdam Manor is perfectly located right across the street from Eagle Beach. Guests receive wristbands that give access to beach chairs and palapas. Towels are also provided, which makes beach days super easy. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean and comfortable, cozy beds, though nothing particularly standout. The location is peaceful and quiet, but still just a short drive from popular areas like Palm Beach. The only major downside was the strong odor coming from a nearby sanitation facility. Unfortunately, the smell was very noticeable on-site and did take away from the experience. Because of that, I’d take off one star but otherwise, it’s a great place to stay if you’re looking for beach access and a laid-back atmosphere.

Amsterdam Manor has a lot going for it—charming Dutch-Caribbean architecture, friendly staff, and a stunning beach just across the road. The location would be ideal… if not for one major downside: the overwhelming sewage odor that drifts over the property, especially on some mornings and evenings. And when it’s there, the smell goes right down to Eagle Beach.||This does not seem to be an occasional issue. It appears to be a long-standing problem tied to a nearby wastewater treatment plant, and it’s been the subject of ongoing complaints and even legal proceedings. Unfortunately, this isn’t mentioned anywhere on the hotel’s website or booking platforms, which feels a bit like a deliberate omission.||If you’re sensitive to smells or simply want a relaxing vacation without holding your breath by the pool on some days, this could be a deal-breaker. We would have appreciated more transparency from management so we could make an informed decision.||With better communication—or better resolution of the issue—this place could be a solid 5-star destination. But as it stands, it’s hard to fully enjoy such a beautiful setting under these circumstances.||On the positive side, our room was very spacious, very clean, and came with a well-equipped kitchenette, which made it easy to prepare small meals. For grocery shopping, a major supermarket is only a ten minute stroll away. The staff was also consistently helpful and kind, making check-in and any requests feel effortless.||Guests receive beach towels, and free sun chairs are available on Eagle Beach, just across the road—a huge plus. Just keep in mind it’s first come, first served, so you’ll want to head out early if you want a nice spot.||Finally, for those who enjoy an early morning run, the beach front is perfect with a long sidewalk which goes about 3km both ways.

Amazing vacation experience. Very friendly and courteous staff and housekeeping crew. Very close to the beach and the resort guests can use the Cabanas and beach chairs free of cost. Beach towels and other necessities were restocked very promptly. Breakfast was included in the package which was served at the beach side restaurant (Passions), and that was a refreshing experience to start the day with. Lot of parking spaces as well. Overall it was a great stay, highly recommend !

Me & my daughter got to the resort on Jun 2025 for 6 days stay.|The resort is on Eagle beach which is on the 🏖️ in a beautiful location. In center of the action but you still have your quiet and relaxation. Always find parking and there are bar and restaurant -passion .right there if you don’t feel like leaving the Amsterdam resort & there menus and food was delicious .|Staff of resort all Amazing kind people 🤩.|We stayed on the 1st floor & had a beautiful room.|Everything was new .clean and welcoming.|Also It was my birthday. We found balloons and candies waiting for us which was a nice surprise.|The cleaning ladies were very helpful. Cleaned room well .|We were greeted by Jennifer in the front desk .|Jennifer was amazing through our whole stay. Always was there to listen . Answer. and help us with any of our issues .a sweet kind lady who always smiled . She was very professional but yet Knowledgeable and patient. The only thing that can be improved is to replace the little kids pool which is tiny and looks like a Jacuzzi to a real adults Jacuzzi, we need we need to go to a different hotel to use the Jacuzzi. But overall a great experience, I will give it four stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️out of 5.|Only because resort didn’t have a Jacuzzi just a small pool.|The pool and the kids pool is closed at 8 PM .I think the big pool could’ve stayed open till 9 pm.but I guess they wanted to keep the resort nice and quiet in the evenings. the bar upstairs was very nice we used it and had great drinks and dinner.|Price to stay daily in this resort is very reasonable compared to the other resorts which are very very expensive per night, overall I would recommend this place to people who wants to be by the beach but yet have a little quiet and relaxation .and save money 💰.because if you go more to the center by the restaurants and by the big hotels . it’s very loud . no parking and very expensive .

Our stay at the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort was truly unforgettable. Nestled in a stunning natural setting, the resort offers a perfect blend of luxury and nature. Its pristine beaches create a serene and picturesque environment, making it an ideal destination for those looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of their surroundings. The hotel exemplifies how a business should be run, offering fantastic services such as a reception worthy of the most luxurious hotels, exemplary cleanliness, an immaculate beach, and a transparent turquoise sea. The daily breakfast served on the beach was excellent, featuring a delightful variety of local and international cuisine. The hotel's surroundings are also perfect for walks, runs, cycling, or excursions to nearby Palm Beach or Oranjestad.||||The true treasure of this resort, however, is its people. The team comprises amazing individuals who genuinely care about making each guest's vacation special. Their smiles come from the heart, and their sincerity shines through in their eyes. You feel as though you are among best friends, encountering genuine interest and a warm, human approach at every turn, allowing you to forget you are merely a visitor. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with authentic smiles and warm hospitality that instantly made us feel right at home.||||A few tips and pieces of information:||• Two sunbeds and an umbrella on the beach cost $30 USD per day.||• Bus stops are conveniently located near the hotel; tickets can be paid for in Aruban florins or US dollars (cash only).||• If you wish to rent a car, simply ask at reception, and they will gladly assist you with a smile.||||Lastly, we spent 13 wonderful days and nights in this perfectly managed hotel, enjoying its great staff, excellent services, prime location, and the highest standard of Aruban cuisine. We will cherish the memories of our time at Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort and eagerly look forward to returning. Thank you once again for an extraordinary vacation, your outstanding hospitality, and the remarkable level of service.

It is not the first time that I have been to Amsterdam Manor, and I have been to Eagle Beach several more times. This resort is nice, the service around the rooms exceptional, but my review is about the not so good and really downgrading things: This part of Eagle Beach now has some patches of algae, nothing bad, but I never saw it like I did not see it in other parts south of this stretch. Together with the 2/3 of the time present strong smell from the water treatment station it makes me think .. The rooms are great but please spend a few bucks on a cutting board and an exhaust vent in the bathroom! Bar and restaurant, passion, are far from quality and flair from the past. Restaurant is reservation only to hear at 730 that we are out of the catch of the day? The welcome sparkling wine does not save that one, and the old torches are now the "flickering led lights":( The bar, oh holy, I have probably never seen a place with bartenders less motivated to serve, better day to do their job. Waiting 20 minutes to get your order taken, then 15 to get it filled? Oh, the beach attendants make a good job, early, but during the day good luck. I was not even able to bribe or tip them due to shining with absence - from 5 onwards they are back to pack and stack their stuff . Well, i believe it is lack of management, I never saw the manager in any place but his office, with his laptop on his lap. And be aware of construction in the area, there are high rise now in the area and more to come.

I always like to start with the positives. First, the staff here is very friendly and accommodating. They offer several convenient options, including bag security and notifications if your room isn’t ready for check-in. The beach is just a stone’s throw away, and navigating the “resort” is simple thanks to clear signage. Parking is easily accessible in the rear. Now for the not-so-great parts. When we first checked in, we noticed the AC unit above the bathroom door was leaking onto the floor. We managed a quick fix by placing a towel and setting the garbage can underneath to catch the drips. Unfortunately, it kept dripping all day and night. We notified staff and were told it would be repaired the next day—after we checked out. Oddly enough, repair staff still showed up unexpectedly while we were getting ready for dinner. Housekeeping also came by twice, even after we said we didn’t need anything—strange, considering we’d only been there about three hours. The worst issue, though, was an apparent sewage smell. It wasn’t noticeable inside the room, but around the resort it was strong and unpleasant. In the evening, the room layout posed another challenge. All rooms surround the pool area, where music plays and guests gather. Great if you’re joining in, not so great if you’re trying to sleep. The connecting doors between rooms also let sound carry easily—even normal conversations sounded like they were happening in our own room. Around 11 p.m., I had to knock on our neighbors’ door to ask if they could keep it down, and they were polite enough to comply about as much as to be expected. All in all, the room design makes for an easily disturbed stay. 250 a night, I should have known lol.

Pros: Beautiful location on Eagle beach. House keeping did an excellent job. The room was very clean and well maintained. The facility was also very well groomed. ||Cons: Smell of sewage throughout the entire facility. Lack of amenities (Gym, Spa, performances). Difficulty booking reservation with passion on the beach restaurant during sunset. (No priority for hotel clients). Food and drink was slow to arrive.
