Nestled into the hillside above Zihuatanejo, the Amuleto is exceptionally well designed and decorated with each room having their own terrace, hammock and private pool. Many rooms also have private outdoor showers. The views and the food are spectacular, and the friendliness and helpfulness of everyone on staff is on par with the best anywhere (and we've traveled to more than 70 countries). The chef is excellent and we enjoyed both the quality and presentation of the food -- it's unlike anywhere else. A different breakfast special everyday and a variety of freshly made juices and fruits are presented every morning. They are also wonderful at saying if you don't like today's special, order whatever you want! One of our favorites was the avocado toast topped by two perfectly poached eggs, cherry tomatoes and bean sprouts. Although it's a healthy walk to get into town, taxis are abundant and quite willing to both collect you at the Amuleto and bring you back there at an average of 90 pesos each way. Don't miss an opportunity to stay here!
