Loved our 3 night stay here. We stayed on the second floor with the balcony facing the sea. It was beautiful opening the windows each morning. The room is very comfortable and cozy with a couch, chairs, throw pillows and extra throw blankets. Refrigerator for extra drinks. The location is perfect in the old town near everything we wanted to see and do within Nafplio. The hotel staff is very warm and welcoming. Amazing breakfast including coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. Their cheese is freshly made by them with their associated restaurant. The hostess was so kind and even helped me to call my airline when I was having trouble getting my phone to work. I highly recommend.

Oh my gosh!Just loved this hotel. Great location and the rooms oh my gosh was like waking up in a Anthropologie store. We had a sea view. Just so nice. Location was also great. The only issue was all the stairs you have to climb to get to the room. It was definitely worth it. Parking could be an issue but you just don't move your car If you can avoid it.

This hotel is very cool and love the authentic shabby chic look. Staff very helpful and friendly. Really loved the room overlooking the castle. Small but perfect. Shower was literally wow. Bed was comfortable and large. Loved the breakfast in the Wild Duck downstairs. Only critic was too many stairs for us, so if you have a baby or toddler stay on first floor .

Do note that the best room (suite with a balcony + bourtzi castle and sea view) comes with two unexpected surprises: (1) a smell of a sewage encapsulating whole room; and (2) a refusal to a refund arising from a cheaper price of the alternative room allocated ... If this fit your expectation - go ahead and book the room. Yes, I am aware to the high rating of the hotel. This is why I choosed it. But as I have experienced it, the high rating does injustice with potential guests. They might fall into a trap and find themselves in a smelly room. It should be noted that there was a consent about the sewage smell in the room. They tried to explain that the smell is: (1) because of the air-condition; on the next day - (2) as the hotel is in the middle of the old town near the port... (The recording of the conversation is with me, so beaware of a false response...) quite a poor explanation, to say the least. Never have I read any comment about any hotel in the old part of Nafpilio suffering from a sewage smell. Due to the undisputed sewage smeel, they agreed to allocate me another room, some 25% cheaper and with no smell. However, despite of the 45€ per night difference (90€ for 2 nights), the manager, Dimitra, agreed to refund me only 10€ per night... This is manifestly unscrupulous. Read, take the above into your considerations and decide if all this unpleasentness suits you while having a vacation. תגובה מהבעלים לפני 12 שעות Dear guest , Thank you for sharing your feedback and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience during your stays . Regarding the odor after several inspections by our staff and other guests ,no unusual smells were detected in the room .All were hypothetical explanations as the sewage system is used throughout the hotel and no similar complaints were reported from other rooms yet . As for the refund ,please note the reservation was made through the Booking.com and their terms which you agreed to ,do not allow for refunds after check in .The price adjustment offered was in accordance with the policy you have agreed . Finally ,we take the issue of '' recording the conversation '' very seriously .Recording without consent is illegal under Greek law and a violation which carries significant legal consequences .We expect an explanation on this matter ,as it is a serious breach of privacy and trust . We trust you understand our position and the policies in place . In response to the Manager: The response is based on 3 pillars, none of which is accurate. Firstly, "others did not smell": In real time, the receptionist, who escorted us the room, admitted the sewage smell (μυρωδιά λυμάτων) while being in the room. For this reason, she agreed to change the room without hesitation; Secondly, "Reservation via Booking": Booking.com has nothing to do with the reservation, as it was done directly with the hotel through its website. It is expected that the hotel would know it …; Thirdly, Criminal Law: "recording of the conversation" is TAKING NOTES of the things exchanged therein (see for instance https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/record, https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/record) No law around the world would criminalize it. Perhaps an AUDIO RECORDING is illegal in Greece, but this is not the case here. **I had to edit the review by re-writing it in full accordance with the original in order to respond to the owner's reply

We had a standard room on the second floor - good size, nicely decorated, comfy bed, very quiet with nice bathroom and super towels. Breakfast is good especially the freshly squeezed orange juice and spinach tart. The location couldn't be better, right in the centre, steps from the harbour with free parking. If you have any mobility issues, it's not a good option as the stairs are very, very steep.

An ideal location, we found our room to be spacious and well-maintained. The shower was great. Window shutters helped keep the street noise to a minimum. Our second floor room was accessed only by a steep flight of stairs. The buffet breakfasts were wonderful and served in the Wild Duck restaurant located next door. One of the best dinners we had in Greece was at the Wild Duck restaurant. Reservations are a must! Special acknowledgment for the wonderful customer service provided by Christine Zisopoulou.

Our family had a wonderful holiday in the Anymone Suites. The rooms are clean, comfortable and thoughtfully decorated. The breakfasts are amazing. It's centrally located near many great restaurants and shops. And the people who run it are helpful and charming. Highly recommend.

Excellent hotel in the old town of Nafplio, spotless clean rooms, lovely decorated. Superfriendly staff, they even brought the suitcases to our room (no elevator). The breakfast was delicious! A free parking space ist just 5 minutes away. Of course it is a bit noisy in the evening, but you know that, when you book a hotel in the centre. With the windows closed it was fine! I would come back in a heartbeat.
