Outstanding and authentic! There are exceedingly few places where one can eat Koenigsberger Klopse with Red Beet Salad, Rinderrouladen, and Sauerbraten (which are the dishes we chose). All were fantastic. HIGHLY recommend. You can get a Schnitzel almost anywhere (including here...and it is delicious) but the other dishes are often hard to find. SO worth it! Quiet atmosphere and great staff.

Fabulous local and traditional German fare. Amazing schnitzel and great selection of local wines, beers and specialties. Very attentive and efficient staff, swift service.

The food was wonderful. Great flavor on the mushroom sauce and schnitzel. The fish soup was delicious but served very very hot. The meatballs and potatoes were delicious. Good German cuisine. The feeling of the place was awkward. It took a bit to get service and the young man was just kinda awkward. Several patrons seemed a little stuck up and kinda “looked down their noses” at us. One guy at the bar stared at us a bit. Dog friendly though. Kinda hot but we were there in mid June. A bit on the more expensive side, but still cheap compared to the US.

Schnitzel was good and the sauce was nice and creamy. The smell of fried liver was a bit strong so it's not really to my liking. I love the fried potatoes that came with the dish though. I also had a glass of tap Bitburger Pils, which was not cold enough. Friendly service and English menu was provided. However, there were a dozen annoying flies flying around when we dined inside the restaurant. I know it's summer time but the staffs should have done something about it.

12 and 14.10.2024 Don't be fooled by appearances, this family run business is something else. The Lady of the house is the Chef and does a wonderful job. There is no chichi and it's quite fair and frank home made food and the prices are accordingly fair and frank. I felt so relieved and happy that at last I got something deicent to eat and I felt that I would not be sick afterwards. The first time I had rheinische Sauerbraten (no horse meat, I asked beforehand), and the second time I had marinated cream herring. Although the latter had an unusual appearance it tasted very good. I was delighted and will certainly go back there. I highly recommend !!!

Terrific family run restaurant suggested to us by a local. Food is excellent service was great. Was also one of the places that stays open year around.

Ok it doesn’t look like much when you see the cheap garden chairs and pillows in front of it. And the interior screams outdated diner. But please do no get fooled by all that! We had a really really good Vienna schnitzel with a delicious salad. It was plenty of food of great quality! It was a good place to eat and I urge you to try it! Door is always open so flies bugged us but maybe the owner could install a curtain!

This place was truly wonderful. My wife and I happened across this place and were amazed at the quality of food and service. The family there were so sweet. Mom is in the kitchen, Dad is bartending and their son is waiting tables. We got the seasonal autumn duck, the hunter schnitzel and paired it with some local Bacharach wines. It was definitely a meal to remember!
