All the pictures advertising this location need to be updated!! This location is very convenient to the beach and of course to the boardwalk. The porch was a perfect place for my siblings, and I to gather, but major cleaning, and maintenance needs to be done. The railings coming off the porch are both broken. They advertise there are beach chairs, umbrellas, and bicycles to be available to guests. Both beach umbrellas were broken. There were only two beach chairs and there were no bicycles! My family and I occupied five out of the six rooms in this bed-and-breakfast. Some of the bathrooms were upgraded and some were not. My husband and I occupied the room that had the ocean view. We were unable to open the door to access the small deck, and there was so much bird poop up there! So glad I spent $50 extra per night to stay in that room!!! The final straw was the whole chewed into one of our bags from a mouse!!

My wife and I stayed here a while ago under the previous management and enjoyed every minute. Not this time. The Inn has become neglected, run down and dirty. The floor in our room (Hunt Room) was noticeably sagging in spots. The bathroom was tiny and the shower flow hit me (6 foot) at about mid chest. The bed was okay and the combo of window A/C and overhead fan made it bearable, if noisy. There is no longer any breakfast. The only bright spot is the porch that fronts the Boardwalk, with awnings and a few rockers, that's where we spent our time. We were very disappointed in the shabby state of a once delightful inn.

Now called Beach Walk on the Ocean, it does not even come close to living up to the reviews and recommendations of the past. While the place was clean and "quaint," the check-in process and lack of communication were unacceptable. I did not receive the promised email of check-in instructions the morning of arrival and had to phone them to be told that I only needed to go to the 2-star hotel next to the B&B to check in. I explicitly asked about a key code since I would arrive late and was told it was unnecessary. Upon arrival, no one was present at the hotel front desk, and a sign said to phone, which I was done and told the key was "on the bed." I tried to access the rear exterior door close to the parking, and it was locked. I then schellped luggage to the boardwalk front entrance (in the rain) where there was a keypad lock, necessitating another phone call. The odor of mold and mildew was overpowering once inside. When I requested clean towels from housekeeping, I was told they only had hand towels available. There was no breakfast (and in fairness to them, they did note that on their website and correspondence), but they did have (bad) coffee available, but no creamer beyond flavored creamers. In summary, a real disappointment from a place with a little care, some customer service skills, and some dehumidifiers could be a real gem!

Quaint, quiet, comfy little place right on the boardwalk. The covered porch was relaxing with beautiful views of the sunrise. Short walk right out on the beach too. Suggestion would be to update the website so guests don’t expect a homemade breakfast but we had already read other reviews so we knew to expect only a grab a go type of breakfast. Or to hire a part time chef just for that purpose so the other staff aren’t running around trying to cover everything between the two buildings, it would’ve been really nice to have had that breakfast in the beautiful breakfast room. And maybe fresh creamer for the coffee too instead of just the powdered kind so if you’re not offering a full breakfast, at least you’re serving amazing coffee. Staff were really nice and accommodating. Room was small but comfy (Canopy Room) and it was nice to come back to after a day on the beach. We slept really well and loved our stay. The beach chairs and umbrellas downstairs were a huge plus so we didn’t have to lug ours down in the car. Loved the experience and stay!

We stayed in the veranda room, which opens to the veranda and has a great view of the ocean. Located right on the boardwalk.|It appears, from reading older reviews, that a hot breakfast used to be served. In may 2023 it was packaged muffins and coffee / tea (not even bakery muffins). For $350/night, they should do better.|The bed was comfortable but there were blood stains on both the comforter and sheets. Ewww! We asked Danielle to change them and she did so promptly (otherwise we would've given the place 2 stars).

The rooms were beautiful, VERY clean, and the bed was comfortable. We came for a wedding in west Ocean City, it was a tropical storm, and they still were open. The view from the veranda room was gorgeous, even in a storm. The owners/staff were lovely and friendly. We would definitely stay here again. If we cane with the whole family I would look to rent an apartment at the adjacent BeachWalk property. (Same owners). Clearly they have high standards.

We stayed for a week and we’re completely disappointed. The only positive things are: location - right on the boardwalk and the beach, with plenty of restaurants around it. The inn provides beach chairs and towels - which is very convenient. Besides that, unfortunately I have nothing positive to say about Inn on the ocean.Bed and Breakfast definition assumes a place which is known for extra hospitality, more personal service, as well as hot cooked meal prepared in the morning and little extras to make the stay more enjoyable.Well, it’s not a case here. The staff is ok, but they really don’t care much about you, you can only ask them questions in the morning because there is no one there in the afternoon. The place is very old outdated and needs major cleaning. We stayed in the Hunt room and it was horrible. The room is dirty, you really don’t want to look behind the sink and on the floors. The shower is the worst I’ve ever seen. I’m an average size person, but I had hard time trying to fit in the shower, and it’s super old. It shouldn’t probably cost more than $30 or so to put a basic shower head, why can’t they at least change the shower? The breakfast was awful, prepackaged bagel and muffins, banana and apples, the same everyday. Oh, and they boiled eggs in bulk, which doesn’t make them that fresh. I got an egg and it had dusty grey yolk, which usually appears when egg is not fresh or was boiled a week ago. And please don’t use Covid pandemic as an excuse. We stayed in bed and breakfast in Cape Cod last summer in the midst of pandemic surge, and had amazing hot breakfast each morning with proper precautions taking by staff. You can’t get cup of tea or coffee after breakfast here, so if you want a night cup, walk on the boardwalk and find a place to buy a cup of tea in the evening. Oh, by the way, there is no iron in this bed and breakfast ,so bring your own from home. The place doesn’t feel like bed and breakfast, it feels like cheap motel, where owner just wants to make money and doesn’t care about the guests. It’s a perfect location for restaurants and the beach, but there are plenty of other options around here where you can have more pleasant experience.

Our third stay here and first time with new owners. Life long OCMD vacationer here! The good: staff is friendly and the Oceana room had new flooring, AC unit and paint. We like the new lighter breakfast options. The bad: the room was so dusty! The obvious things were clean, but no one cleaned the debris and dust from prior ceiling work. The ceiling fan, shade tops, lamps, tops of mirrors and art has rubble and dust. We asked for it to be cleaned again and even tipped $20. After they cleaned again, I went over some of it with a damp cloth and it was still dusty and dirty. The mattress is newer but super cheap, pillows are small for a king bed and cheap, the bed had a comforter insert but no cover on it! Toiletries were very low-end. Window shades are thin and all night long we could see the boardwalk lights through the windows. We paid $549 per night holiday weekend—we hoped for a nicer experience. The beach at 10th st has loud music now, we could hear it from our room—not the Inn’s fault but giving a heads up. Our AC unit had no power and they tried to fix it but wound up using an extension cord. We noticed many electrical hazards—overloaded wall sockets, for example. A fire hazard someone should look into. We won’t be back, even though the staff is wonderful. It’s just not that nice any more, especially for the price.

Yelp
We've stayed here before but our first time since new owners. Staff is friendly and some updates have been made to rooms, however, mattress and pillows are cheap and uncomfortable, toiletries are Motel 6 quality, our bed had a comforter insert but no cover on it! super thin shades don't block out the overnight boardwalk lights. This Inn isn't what it used to be.

Yelp
My husband and I always look forward to staying here at the inn on the ocean every year. It feels like home away from home. The hosts Vicki and Charlie are so nice. And the breakfasts in the morning are better than any I have had. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
What a wonderful experience! Delicious food. Kind, caring, friendly staff including Charlie, Vicky, and Martha. In a perfect location to be a part of the fun but still secluded. The porch was a wonderful place to sit after a day at the beach and time on the boardwalk. And where we had a delicious breakfast in the morning!

Yelp
I have never stayed at a bed & breakfast before and figured now is as good a time as any to experience one. The moment we walked in the front doors (literally a few steps from the boardwalk), I knew this is going to be a unique lodging experience. Vicki warmly greeted us as if we were already good friends. It does have that feeling we were staying at her house versus another hotel. We booked The Tapestry Room from Monday, August 6th to Wednesday, August 8th. It was on the top floor with our window (facing the Americana Hotel) having the ocean view looking to the left. The floor was strangely crooked from the foot of our bed to the television console but that was no big deal. Our bathroom, although with no jacuzzi, was amazing with plenty of towels and two robes hanging on the door. Our breakfast on Tuesday, August 7th consisted of a sausage potato casserole, which was absolutely amazing by itself. Add fresh fruit and an assortment of homemade breads, really top it off! Our breakfast the next two mornings were just as delicious, although I don't recall what they were. Earlier this week, Vicki was kind enough to mail us her cookbook. We really hope to be back someday. Next time though, we'll try for The Oceana Room!

Yelp
Excellent room and very quiet. Parking in alley is good but a little tight. Superb porch and deck right next to the boardwalk. Great location , plenty of shops all around, all within walking distance. A little pricey - but it's august on the oceanfront. Breakfast was excellent.

Yelp
My husband and I could not have enjoyed our stay any more if we had tried! Our room was beautiful and charming and the view!!! The breakfast, the house hosts, and the front porch...amazing!! We already have plans to come back!

Yelp
We had a great time! The Inn is lovely -- clean and quaint with antique furnishings. The breakfasts were AWESOME!!! Gourmet food on the deck over-looking the ocean, was really amazing! Vicki and Charlie made us feel at home and we did. We will definitely stay with them again as well as recommend it our friends.
