Fabulous stay at 'An Old Rectory'. We were able to leave our bags there thus maximising our time exploring the city. We were very fortunate in that we were on a road with fantastic bus links into the city where we visited The Titanic Experience and caught the Hop on bus to the sights. ||We had a really comfortable sleep in a pleasant room which was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was the highlight of the stay! There was such a range to choose from and Gerry catered for the fussiest of eaters. Nothing was too much trouble! We will definitely be back again!

Charming old building full of treasures including Gerry; a real gem! This is a B&B from a bygone era. Wonderful food and easily accommodated my gluten sensitivity. Great location (quiet) and on bus routes. We called to make our reservation and paid cash when checking out. We loved it!

My wife and I came to Belfast with our 2 month old to visit family and relax. We loved our stay. Gerry the head chef is a lovely man and all our food for breakfast both days was gorgeous. The house is old (obviously) but well maintained. We had two very comfortable nights here and the location is great. We would definitely stay there again.

Could not have been more perfect. The host, Gerry is a total gem! Brilliant historic structure. Loved the sitting room and fireplace. Over the top and delicious made-to-order breakfast every morning. The place was cozy, yet spotlessly clean. So warm and hospitable. Gerry helped me plan out my adventures, and gave me lots of tips, ideas, and helpful hints along the way. Beautiful, upscale neighborhood. Got a room with a lovely bathtub! Large room, adorable bathroom, and bed was so comfortable, I slept like a baby. Gorgeous views out my windows. An Old Rectory epitomizes my vision of Irish charm. Bus going into the city center is just across the street and the bus coming back drops you off right at the driveway! So convenient! Anyone going to Belfast or the surrounding areas should book a room here! Loved every minute of my stay! Thank you for making my stay in Northern Ireland such a special one, Gerry!

We stayed here while visiting our daughter, after checking out of a major hotel downtown. We were warmly welcomed by Gerry and this beautiful home. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was just wonderful. We wished we had booked our entire Belfast stay here! We will certainly be back.

The building retains most of its historical character, with high ceilings and large rooms. Our ground floor room was very spacious, with plenty of furniture and storage space. Very clean. The owners were friendly and helpful. We liked having a teapot and fresh milk in the bedroom for tea making. The choice for cooked breakfast was extensive, and there were plenty of choices for vegan and vegetarians. The quality of the breakfasts, including the homemade breads, yoghurts, muesli, jams etc was superb. Would definitely stay again.

My sister and I were visiting for my mum’s birthday having not seen each other for over two years and our stay at The Old Rectory made that, already special occasion, - exceptional! Our twin room was charming and very comfortable and the hospitality second to none. Relaxed breakfasts in the beautiful dining room overlooking the garden set us up for the day. Gerry’s art of stunning and substantial vegan /vegetarian breakfasts including refreshing fresh fruit salad, poached plums, a cooked breakfast with avocado and Gerry’s own spicy baked beans along with homemade bread saw us head off to the nearby wonderfully scenic Barnett’s Demense and walk (and talk!) 10 miles before lunch! Couldn’t recommend more highly and look forward to returning soon – makes visiting Belfast a very special and memorable experience.

This is one of the best we ever stayed in our life. The host Gerry was very friendly and helpfully and an excellent cook. Amazing. The room was very clean and charming. The guesthouse is in the best area of belfast close to the city center. The guesthouse is awesome. 👌

Yelp
What a lovely place to stay in Belfast! Nestled off the main road & covered in ivy, this B&B is just so quaint. From the entry way to the cozy living/ dining room, you feel like you've stepped back to the early 20th century. Breakfast orders are taken the day before & you're greeted in the morning with a beautifully laid out table labeled with your room number. Delicious food!! The rooms are very cozy & decorated with various oriental themed items. Upon going out for the day, leave your key fob on the rack under the stairs. The proprietor is extremely helpful with information about touring around town & well as educating you on past & recent history. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We stayed one night here. Our host was very accommodating and attentive to our needs. The home was decorated with antiques, China, and other decor for a older/well maintained building. The furnishing were very nice and our room was comfortable. The food was amazing and even had big portions! I definitely recommend the Irish breakfast here! Thank you for a great stay and fantastic food!

Yelp
What a gem! I stayed here for one night this weekend, was thoroughly enjoyed myself. Our host was most welcoming, and knowing we were attending a wedding gave us a ground floor room so as not to disturb other guests when we returned. The room was comfortable, with a sofa/flat screen tv and large bed. Our host had even closed the curtains for us before we returned, and ensured there was fresh drinking water available along with tea and coffee. The room had been adapted to provide a large ensuite bathroom, with excellent shower and a selection of shower products. Breakfast was second to none. You are asked to order the previous day, and after feasting on fruit, cheese and cereal, as well as being offered fresh croissants at your table, the cooked breakfast arrives. There is also home made jam and toast available, along with freshly squeezed orange juice. We were allowed to leave our bags in the premises even after we had checked out, and we also had a nice chat with the owner and chef. Altogether a wonderful experience!
