When my parents, my husband, and I arrived at ANA International Beppu, we were greeted by Mr. Takahashi, who is also a bartender at the hotel, by the way, and he makes some delicious cocktails.||He spoke Korean to my parents and they really appreciated being assisted in their native tongue since they speak neither English nor Japanese. ||When we got to the lobby, we were surprised by the atmosphere and were greeted warmly by other employees. ||Ms. Seunghee Lee, the front office supervisor, helped us check-in. ||We all could tell she is genuinely nice and a lovely person, and we felt very much welcomed. ||The rooms were big and romantic. The whole hotel is amazingly beautiful. ||We like the fact that the onsen sides for men & women, which have different views of Beppu Bay, are switched every day. So far, it is the best onsen that we have ever been to. ||It is a super expensive resort, but it is worth for every penny because of the excellent onsen, rooms, and staff. ||However, we would like to point out some weak points. ||There were no trash cans both inside or outside the hotel, so we felt inconvenient.||Secondly, we thought the quality and taste of food did not meet with our expectations at all (except for Takahashi-san’s cocktails). ||We didn’t think it was worth what we paid.||We hope to see some improvements in the future. ||Overall, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we would like to go back to stay again. ||I personally enjoyed staying there more because of Ms. Lee’s hospitality and professionalism on top of the hotel facilities. I really hope I will see her again.
