Google
I’m giving these brothers (Norm & Frank) FIVE STARS for their personalities and customer service alone. As a door dash driver, I rarely come across restauranteurs who are this passionate (especially 15 minutes before closing time!) about meeting people. The post-Covid age has created a norm of horrible customer service and people behind restaurant counters simply not giving a damn. SO - Thank you for the warm greetings and the much needed bottle of water. My lovely lady and I shall return to eat what sounds like amazing food. Your ratings are a reflection of the love you put into your business. So grateful to have found you tonight. 🙏🤘

Google
What can I say about this place? Nothing bad, that's for sure. The food was amazing, the salad had peppers galore on it, red onions and such a generous portion. I will eat it for 3 days easily. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. This is my new favorite place. Go check them out!!

Kev Tot

Google
Beef Shwarma was excellent and came with pickled turnips. +++ Service was fast and very friendly. Prices affordable as well.

Google
5 stars - 10/10 across the board. Their Chicken Shawarma, full order if you want some for later, half order will fill you up, is EXCELLENT. It’s consistently delicious and simple. The staff is amazing with a nice sit down area if you need. Their whipped garlic sauce is 10/10. I enjoy every bite of my meal from these folks always. Can’t thank them enough.

Google
Great Customer service, food was fresh, and tasted great. Anaam’s place is very clean ans comfortable. Thank you

Lauren Surprenant

Google
Lunch was absolutely delicious! And the staff was very friendly and attentive. We had the falafel wrap, baba ghanoush, dolma, and lamb gyro. The food came out quickly and was everything we’d hoped for and more. Highly recommend!

Jared Gruber

Google
Great food and excellent service. I had an issue with one order, and they made it right and let me come back when it was convenient for me.

Emily Sofran

Google
Friendly service and food has been consistently good. However, I took away 2 stars on account of homemade baklava. Our pieces at $2.50 each were significantly small (see picture) I am not sure if it was an oversight of them missing the 2nd order of baklava.

Genevieve D.

Yelp
Delicious, healthy and fast! Thank goodness for yelp, I was a mile away and all there was was fast food. Luckily, I saw this and drove less than two minutes for a fantastic chicken Shawarma sandwich.

Yelp
CATER FROM ANAAMS - YOUR GUESTS WILL LOVE THE FOOD!!! I've had takeout from Anaam's for years and they never disappoint. This past weekend I placed a combo tray order for 12, plus salad as a base for my party. I also ordered plenty of their amazing curry sauce on the side which my guests loved! I cannot begin to express how my guests were impressed and enjoyed the food! Anaam's is nothing but delicious and reliable. When they say they will take care of you they mean it! My only regret is that I did not take pictures of their beautiful spread as I was too busy hosting my guests.

Doug R.

Yelp
This is a weak 3-star review. The staff was prompt and attentive. The order for two lamb pitas and large fattoush arrived in a timely manner. The restaurant is clean. The lamb ... dry. On the cusp of being objectionably dry. The portion was appropriate for the $7.75 price. I was expecting garlic sauce to dress it. A bit more dressing/sauce would have helped mask the dryness. Shame on me for not checking the order before leaving. The salad was fresh and crisp. My sentiments? I wished I had gone to Graceland Party Store instead.

Yelp
The food, delicious! The energy, wonderful! We tried several things, everything flowed and was full of flavor and extremely fresh! Quality and quantity in a delicious colorful package! Will definitely visit again!

Jaclyn G.

Yelp
Have ordered several vegan & meat options. Always fresh & delicious. Friendly service. Tomato kibbeh with garlic is the best!

Christine M.

Yelp
Very good middle eastern food ordered combo for two was enough to feed four adults with leftovers would highly recommend going there and the brothers are very nice

LaShorage S.

Yelp
OMG!!! Anaam's never fails to please!!! Everything is delicious and the quantity is great. We usually order for pickup and it never takes long. This is our got to spot for Mediterranean. Will have to have a dine in experience next. It can only be better.

Michael B.

Yelp
Got a take out the food was great and the staff is really friendly. I will go back. Liked the tomato kibbi

Elvia H.

Yelp
First time eating eastern food and omg! It was delicious! I loved every little bite. Got the chicken tikka platter for 4. Absolutely delicious!

Steven L.

Yelp
Great spot in Michigan for falafel! The garlic spread is out of this world and all the food is very affordable.

Paul E.

Yelp
Great food at a great price. Whenever we have a large gathering of folks where we don't want we cook, this is one of our go to take out restaurants in the area. At the most recent birthday party for my wife, I ordered their Combo family platter for 12 people where you can tailor the meats you want as part of the platter. At a cost of only $134 for the family platter with a large side salad, we were able to feed 15 people with plenty of food left at the end of the nite. This left over food was split up amongst the entire family for dinner the next night (Wow 2 for 1). The food was very tasty and well cooked where the most discerning culinary members of the family, our grandkids, had two servings each. If you are having a large party or just a small dinner for two, this is the spot for you as you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend.

Ramon Y.

Yelp
Anaam's Palate has been on my list to try for some time and man it did not disappoint. Anaam is super friendly and helpful in guiding your decision if you're torn between a few menu items. We got Natalie's Pita and the Lamb shank. I've had pita sandwiches all over metro Detroit and Natalie's Pita is up there with the best of them. So many flavors going on and the addition of rice, which isn't common in these sandwiches, was a great touch. The lamb shank was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Anaam gives you a side of the lamb drippings and I just poured it right back onto the meat, rice, and even on Natalie's Pita because it's that good. Overall we were very full and impressed and will definitely be back!

Yelp
That was our first time ordering the carryout, and wont be a second time. Food and half Dine-in Service Portion size : single order Portion size: party tray Side dishes: very small compare My family didnt like the food really, they prefer our regular place.

Nichole K.

Yelp
I'm am sitting in the parking lot of this restaurant eating the best chicken shawarma sandwich that I have ever eaten. So good, in fact, that I felt immediately compelled to write this 5-star review. Go to here...you will not be sorry.

Jason H.

Yelp
First of all this is one of the first twos I have ever given. First time here and saw the ratings so I was excited. I told them it was my first time and had just moved into the area. Let me say the service was horrible. I asked about what was on a certain dish and I was told to read the menu several times. I was the ONLY person in there Second the food is below par. The rice is white and dry. Not pilaf. Second the tahini sauce I paid extra for was water. The "stew" is made with canned vegetables and no meat. The "filet" meat is tainted, dry, and tough. I will not be back. The only plus was how fast I received my bad food.

Mara M.

Yelp
I decided to come here because it's Mediterranean food... and who doesn't like Mediterranean food?! I wanted a salad, but they come prepackaged. So I wasn't sure I wanted it. But I asked questions and the owner/chef/waiter makes it herself daily. And guess what? The salad is soooo freaking good! It has the right about of spices, seasoning, olives... and she gave me some to try. Since the salad is made by the owner/chef, you won't be able to find it anywhere else. I'll be working around the area for the week and I will probably come back to try the rest of the menu.

Beth C.

Yelp
Stopped here for the first time yesterday for lunch to-go. Very happy I did! Service is fast and super friendly. I was in the mood for the chicken cream chop pita which was excellent. Well-seasoned crispy chicken and the perfect amount of garlic sauce. Can't wait to try their other items!

Codie Nicole A.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick carry out cup of soup. Called ahead of time it was ready in 15 minutes. Walked in and the place smelled fantastic! Very clean and organized place. The case was packed with tons of food goodies for purchase. I was greeted by a super friendly woman. Prices are reasonable. The lentil soup was good but personally care for a little thicker consistency but wasn't bad! Will stop in again!

Kate M.

Yelp
I'm sitting here right now, eating this delicious food, and I realized that although I've eaten here a dozen times, I've never left a review. I rely heavily on reviews (Yelp, Amazon, etc.) for my decisions, and one of my new year's resolutions is to actually write more reviews instead of just reading them, ad nauseum. I'll get to the point, before this turns into a blog post...... This food is exceptional. It's unique and flavorful and fresh and just DELICIOUS. High quality, too. Her falafels are made from scratch; she grinds her own chickpeas and they are gluten free! Today I got a lunch special: falafel wrap, lentil soup, and a bottle of water for about $8. The falafel wrap is loaded with goodness and plenty of garlic sauce (aka crack). It's just the best. I need to come here more. If you haven't tried this place yet, COME EAT HERE!! I haven't gotten carryout here before, partially because I don't like the way the integrity of food becomes compromised in transit, so I can't speak to that aspect, but I noticed in one of the reviews here, the person was upset because they got carryout and their bread was soggy. I feel like that's just a byproduct of ordering carryout of something hot wrapped in bread, no? Anyway, back to the good stuff. This wrap is perfection. I'm gonna top it off with some homemade baklava. Come eat here. You won't regret it!

Yelp
THE BEST Mediterranean/middle eastern food in the COUNTY. This amazingly family owned hidden gem is where you want to be. Everything is always so fresh, so quick, and SO good!!!

Jay N.

Yelp
First time! Curbside pick up went smooth. Food is fresh and delicious. Will be coming here again, and perhaps often. Ordered the Combo Platter for two people. Amazing!

Linda S.

Yelp
Yelp rarely lets me down. I was so excited to try this place based on the reviews. I asked a couple of questions when ordering and was told to look at the menu and call back. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and called back to order. I ordered a half order of shawarma and rice. I had to order the garlic paste as it wasn't included. I wanted fattoush as a side instead of soup but was told no because I ordered a half order of dinner. I also ordered a side of hummus. The soup was the best part of the meal. The hummus had the texture of sabra hummus and tasted off, kind of like when oil goes rancid. The rice was more like a boxed rice than a true pilaf. The shawarma was a seasoned, sliced chicken breast with pickled veggies on the side. The pita was stale. I really wanted to like this place but just couldn't.

Judy W.

Yelp
The real deal! I grew up eating authentic middle eastern food, and this family knows what they're doing! Biryani, dolma, fattoush, stews, EVERYthing here is delicious! Employees make it a positive experience. Don't hesitate.

Anton Pjetri N.

Yelp
I seen lot of 4 & 5 star reviews I was in aria so I give this place a try I order the lamb with rice they load my plate with rice I almost called for a tow truck to come tow my rice to my house lolol smh who you trying to trick we all know the rice is cheap and who the f eats all that rice in first place 2 OZ of meat and 20 oz of bones I'm not a dog even dogs love some meat on there bones $15 for 2 OZ of meat with no freaking flavor you should learn how to flavor your food instead tricking your customers with all that nasty ass rice . go try middle eastern food in streets of NY the halal guys maybe you cal learn few things about middle eastern food . I was so freaking disappointed because Middle Eastern food its one of my faw

Chase C.

Yelp
Best food, awesome customer service -- if I could give a million stars, I would. The shawarma is to die for, but you really can't go wrong with anything from here. 11/10

William D.

Yelp
Amazing, authentic Chaldean/Assyrian middle eastern food... Great food, excellent service & large portions along w a variety of unique food not available at your typical Lebanese middle eastern restaurants

Sally A.

Yelp
Been enjoying their menu since 2016 Lentil soup is the best around & pitas too --Never disappointed !

Moody A.

Yelp
Simply the best chicken Shawarma sandwich that I have ever had. The meat was well seasoned and very juicy. I also tried Natalie's pita with chicken kabob and rice. It was refreshing to try this pita sandwich. I was surprised to see my kids eat the entire sandwich. Excellent Iraqi food. Lebanese food has nothing on Iraqi food.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
I found this restaurant online. Our family was separated due to the virus and we could not be together during an extremely sad and difficult family event. I called and spoke with the owner. She was AMAZING!!! Her food suggestions were right on point. A delivery was made - exactly when she said it would be. My family was overwhelmed with the quality, quantity and taste. Thank you so much for making a difficult day a little brighter.

Mike C.

Yelp
Food is ok but they get the order wrong more times than they get it right. A few times they even said that I ordered it wrong when clearly it was their impatience on the phone to listen.

Mike F.

Yelp
This place is a little hidden gem!! Food is off the charts amazing and the family was super nice! Highly recommended! Thanks

P M.

Yelp
The staff was nice and efficient but our food was so-so. Got the falafel (pretty dry) and the chicken kabob entree. All needed some type of sauce but they only provided this this yogurt-like lukewarm sauce that tasted off like curdled. The rice was really good though, definitely the star of it all.

Lauren S.

Yelp
I've lived in this area for a little over a year now and have meant to try it... sooooo happy we did! Food is incredible, the flavors are on point. You have a new lifetime customer!

Nahla A.

Yelp
The service was fine, fast because I was the only one ordering and friendly. Everything else from there went down hill. The lentil soup was way too watered down. The chicken I ordered was way overpriced for the amount and not much flavor. The hummus was "off" can't figure that one out. I might give them another try but I'll be cautious about the meats since there doesn't seem to be a lot of turnover

Jeremy C.

Yelp
The food is five stars the problem is when you order door dash or whatever theree delivery service vice is it takes over 90 mins. We live 2 miles tops from the place and every time it has taken over 90 mins for it to arrive three weeks ago it literally took almost Two hours when we called they said the guy got a flat tire.

Chris O.

Yelp
Outstanding Mediterranean salad! Super helpful staff. Amazingly clean and following all the noticeable protocols for check out during COVID. Great job Team!!

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
I love everything on their menu! The food is so delicious and super fresh. The owners are so friendly! My go to when I need some homemade Mediterranean food. Highly recommend!!

Heather B.

Yelp
always a pleasant experience. from the moment you open the door. friendly fast fresh and authentic food

Yelp
This place is across the street from our house, so when it came up on Restaraunt.com we gave it a try. They need to change the description, because I also assumed that it was sit down restaraunt. They have the tables but they are designed as a carry out. THE STAFF IS FANTASTIC and SUPER accomodating. My son was offered a cup and straw for his bottled water, unfortunately the cup had a starbucks logo and thru the guy assured me the 'had a stack in the back and they are clean", I decided my four year old can drink fron the bottle. They need to invest in some plain cups :) We were told that the two cousins there that night own the restaraunt with their family and that they opened seven months ago. They were both so friendly and accomodating, I am sure they will do well. The food we tried was good. Its Iraqi so the food is different from what you would expect in Metro-Detroit (mostly Lebanese). The house salad was perfect, and very generous serving size. The beef tika and beef sultani were kind of underseasoned. They do offer a curry or squash stew, but we were not excited by either. I definitely cant say that it was bad, just not what we expected. I am looking forward to trying some of the appetizers and wraps. There were definitely a lot of people stopping by for carry out. There are some kinks but with such welcoming and warm customer service, I think they will work out the small kinks soon.

I D.

Yelp
I really like the taste of their falafel. But yesterday my buddy and I had that sandwich and asked for one no veggies and to put the extra on the other and barely got any. Apparently they don't put much because even with "extra", it was lacking. The service is quite slow...only one guy usually trying to do 4 orders at a time. I would say this place is o-k.

Deba W.

Yelp
I just love this Middle Eastern place for takeout. The food is so fresh and well prepared. We love the chicken shawarma and fattoush salad and sometimes add chicken lemon rice to our order. Yummy! I always get great service and the staff is friendly. I use grub hub and pickup and never have to wait. A little gem!!

Ornella B.

Yelp
The hubby and I got the combo plate for four and let me tell you we had leftovers for daysssss!!! HUGE portions is an understatement, but it's sooo yummy we couldn't help but to overindulge. Our order came with a giant container full of yellow rice; and on top was chicken shawarma, beef and chicken kabobs, chicken tikka, and chicken cream chop. You get bread and stew alongside and we also got a side of hummus. Everything was sooo amazing. The meats were juicy and flavorful and the rice was tender. Our favorites were the chicken cream chop and my hubby lovedddd the chicken tikka also. The cream chop was a winner for me; it's pounded thin chicken breast in a panko? seasoning. I wish I knew exactly what they seasoned and breaded the chicken with because YUM!!!! Definitely try the place, you won't be disappointed. But, maybe get the combo for two :)

Saja H.

Yelp
I am not one to give bad reviews when they're not deserved. I have given places 5/5 for being amazing. But the food sucks at this place and the service is even worse. The truth hurts. As a person that goes out to eat at least twice a day I know quality food & excellent customer service. For the owner to come at me with absolute disgusting lies is unacceptable, thankfully I had a witness. Never once did the owner apologize, she was so rude. Yes I came the day after, but that was because the food was ordered late for me and when I came home to eat it, I had ONE BITE of chicken and tried to call but they were closed at the time. I left the food the same exact way as I got it with ONE BITE of burnt chicken out of it, went as soon as I woke up to the restaurant and asked nicely... NOT FOR FREE FOOD, but for WHAT I PAID FOR... which is not burnt food. She was beyond rude and NEVER once apologized, instead she told me that it's my fault for thinking the food is burnt because I repeat from my other review "it's a matter of taste". I told her that I will be posting a yelp review and that I will tell all my friends and family to steer clear out of that restaurant. You should get what you pay for and you will never get that there. It's disgraceful.

Michelle R.

Yelp
This place never disappoints. They have the best Mediterranean food around and the most friendly staff. The portions are very large. Everything is light, but filling. It's a very healthy choice during this pandemic and always.

Tina P.

Yelp
Had the delicious Chicken Tikka wrap and a side of grilled veggies. Yum! We are always happy here. Many times we've had the platter and shared as a family- so good!

Lauren Y.

Yelp
As my little brother and I walked through the door that wouldn't open the first time I tried it, a family was seated outside. They were in suits and fancy dresses (they had dinner plates... This is an important factor to the future story). They told me to pull the door harder as we were about to leave. Once inside we were greeted by two people ordering carryout and the two woman working there. The older woman asked to take our order and we tell it to her, she corrects me that the chicken kabob was made with ground meat, and that I would want it "Tikka" style. So I said sure, and then she grabs a check and makes us repeat our order because she has already forgotten.... She types it into the computer and we paid a whooping 35$ for this chicken and a Fatoosh Salad with chicken. We proceed to sit down at one of the three tables that they have, and the older woman brings us crushed lentil soup that was extremely bland and not worth our calories. We tried to use the pita to make it better, but to be honest with you it didn't work (and arguably made it worse). For the record, she brought it in a Styrofoam cup!!!! With a plastic spoon!!! Then.... My little brother turns to me and goes, shes not going to bring us dinner in Styrofoam containers is she.... AND SURE AS S***, SHE DID! For a "in house" $35 dollar meal, we ate like we were sitting at our television. She then proceeded to tell another take out customer that she serves people in that so she doesn't have to do dishes. She also gave us wrapped plastic silverware to eat with! The chicken pieces (8) that I had were ok, but they were not marinated for long enough, My rice was not flavorful and dry. My little brother had "Cinnamon" Chicken and was not pleased.... We will never be returning, and to be honest with you I would not recommend to my worst enemy to go there!

Toula G.

Yelp
BEST MEDITERRANEAN FOOD,better than my Greek cooking and even yiayia. We went inside and judged by the way it looked, DON'T! The babbaganoush, both kinds of hummus, GARLIC DIP(skorthalia 4 Greeks),quinoa salad are better than hundreds of other places we've eaten including homemade! Only additions I would add is rice pudding but only Jennifers Cafe(has pistachios and cinnamon to die 4)&FRESH MADE PITA . Otherwise we also took carryout. Just relocated back to civilization in Commerce Charter Township MI after 6yrs of rural blissful living in gorgeous Northern mountainous NH. No DELIVERY NOT EVEN PIZZA but all local farmers oranic& coop in Lancaster delivered. We lived decades in dreadful white supremacist thumb of MI. We didn't know we built in KKK MI MILITA TrumpCult USA bc no social media in 80s. We built our dream home, medical practices. I fled autocracy while young, fled MI 2015,then had to flee rural NH. Yelp
Best mediterranean spot around! Everytime i eat here i can tell the food is always made fresh! Also the service is A1 would recommend this place to anyone!

Eric M.

Yelp
Great middle eastern food and it's right near our house. Love their chicken shawarma salad with the yummiest dressing they make in house. Funny bc the lady who owns Anaam's said she uses dried herbs - it tastes like fresh herbs...but who cares? Their food is excellent and her son is a riot. Love talking to him bc he always greets you with a "hey brother!" or "hey Boss!" and gives you a big smile. Wish they had some loyalty program or a coupon/discount program but I guess they don't have to do that bc the food is THAT good. Falafel is sometimes a bit dry but their chicken shawarma is always on point.
