On the heels of a great trip to Napa & Sonoma, my wife and I had a fabulous day at Anaba Wines in Sonoma. We started with a tour led by Ben, who was very personable and knowledgeable in his craft. He answered all our questions. Not once did I feel this experience was rehearsed or boring. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a glass of Rose, and we enjoyed many more wine tastings along the tour. Ben even offered to take us into the vineyard, but the winds were quite strong that day, so my wife chose to stay indoors, and as we learned the winery was named for those Anabatic Winds!  After the tour Ben led us to a lovely table on their indoor/outdoor patio with an amazing view where we had a full wine tasting accompanied by delicious bread and olives. We had heard they have great pizza, so we were excited to stay for lunch. We both ordered pizza and were thrilled we did! I had the Prosciutto, Burrata & Pear Pizza, and my wife had the Piadina Pizza. Both were delicious! Ben was with us from the beginning of the tour, through the tasting, and served us lunch. It was a complete concierge experience, and one of our favorites from the trip. Anaba Wines is beautiful, has very good wine, amazing views, and delicious pizza. Five stars from us!

I recently visited and, while the wine and food were enjoyable, I felt the pizza was overpriced given its small size. The biggest letdown was the customer service. Our server left us waiting over 30 minutes between pours and didn’t check in nearly enough. Even after we let him know our Uber was on the way, he took far too long to return. I’d consider coming back in the future, but I’d hope for much better service next time.

My family & I had our first time wine-tasting here, and Christina was a gracious and friendly host, patiently explaining different factors that go into each wine: climate, aging, harvest process, notes, and food pairings. 🙏🏻 good variety of seating areas as well, we enjoyed sitting outside in the wind and shade.

At Anaba Wines in Sonoma, I had an exceptional wine tasting experience, thanks to Angeline, our server, whose knowledge and passion for wine truly elevated the day. From the moment we arrived, Angeline made us feel welcome, guiding us through a thoughtfully curated selection of wines. Her deep understanding of each wine’s nuances, along with her ability to describe the unique terroir of Sonoma, made the experience both educational and enjoyable. We started with Anaba’s crisp and vibrant Chardonnays, which Angeline described as perfectly capturing the coastal influence. The notes of green apple and citrus were complemented by a subtle oak finish, a perfect balance that she explained with precision. Next came their exceptional Pinot Noir—soft, velvety, and bursting with red fruit and earthy tones. Angeline’s insights into the winemaking process and vineyard practices added layers of appreciation. Angeline’s genuine enthusiasm and warmth made the tasting personal and memorable. She tailored the experience to our preferences, even recommending a few local pairings that we can’t wait to try. The wines at Anaba were fantastic, but it was Angeline’s expert guidance and hospitality that made it one of the best tastings I’ve had in Sonoma. Highly recommend visiting and asking for Angeline!

This was our first winery stop on our way from SFO to St. Helena. It was a very rainy day but the interior was so cozy and cute and Peyton, our hostess, was fantastic! She was very friendly, casual, and knowledgeable. Thank you!

Holiday gift giving couldn't be easier! Ben was such a pleasure to work with and made corporate gifting so easy. Our clients have been reaching out after receiving the gift and loved the personalized Anaba Wines touch! Looking forward to the holiday season next year!

Anaba is located on a beautifully designed property with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, along with a Bocce ball court. The two tasting options offer a nice selection of wines to sample, although the kitchen is not open on Sunday or Monday. Shout out to Danny for providing a great experience during our tasting!

I have to start off by saying KEN WAS WONDERFUL!!!!! The saying "saving the best for last" was very fitting for our experience. Anaba was the last winery on our itinerary that day. The weather was really bad so we weren't able to sit outside, but being that the inside was so cozy and very much had a home-like feel to it, we were more than satisfied. Ken was our host, and an incredible one at that. We did a Pinot tasting, and ordered some food with it. We ordered a salad and a bunch of pizzas. I wasn't expecting the food to be as good as it was. The pizza that stood out was the "Pumpkin and bacon ricotta" I know what you're thinking...pumpkin on pizza? But I was pleasantly surprised. In addition to that we ordered the following pizzas: hot honey pepperoni, Margherita, and the spicy pig. Also the salad, was not an average salad, it was giving *chef's kiss* type of salad, it was called the "Fall Spinach Piadine" which consisted of spinach, caramelized mushrooms, bacon, & balsamic dressing. This will **definitely** be a winery I return to, and ofcourse I took pics :) I will include in pics but here were the Pinot's included in our tasting: 2021 Turbine Chardonnay 2021 Pinot Noir, Roberts Road Vineyard 2019 Pinot Noir, Westlands 2019 Pinot Noir, Las Brisas Vineyard--- I ordered this one to take home !!! 2019 Pinot Noir, Wildcat Vineyard 2019 Pinot Noir, Soberanes Vineyard

Yelp
we absolutely loved Anaba! we came later on a monday, our server was young, i wish i remembered her name. she was absolutely wonderful, gave us some background about Anaba, and was so sweet to us. the wine was delicious, each tasting did not last long. the views were exceptional, and we had such a good time. such a gem, we would love to come back again :)

Yelp
Anaba Wines was the third and final winery we visited while in Sonoma. We were a little tired/low energy when we arrived, but the stunning views definitely brought us back to life! I was seriously blow away by the gorgeous scenery on the property at Anaba Wines. It wasn't super crowded so we were able to sit on the patio and sip on some chardonnay. The helpful staff members working kindly let us know chardonnay is what they are known for, and did a great job sharing their knowledge on the winery and wine. I don't typically go for chardonnay, but this was good! The views paired with the delicious vino made for a perfect close out to our vineyards tour through Northern California.

Yelp
Anaba is great for tasting and/or lunch for medium-sized parties. Woodfire pizza on the weekends! Made a reservation for the basic 4 to 5 flight tasting a month in advance with last minute updates to our party size. We arrived at 2pm and stayed until closing. Our sommelier Carlos was AMAZING! Great conversationalist, gave great recommendations, handsome pours, and was very very accommodating. We had 2 individuals arrive later and he handled it all while adjusting the tasting for them and without skipping a beat. He was very patient with our group. The space itself is very pretty. I loved the interior courtyard with traditional tables, along with the option to sit on the back patio on the couches (if available). The wine itself was good. I'm not an expert but all were tasty. I specifically picked this place because of the food menu! Everything was decent value. Would definitely return!

Yelp
3.5 stars for a cute and family friendly winery! Bright, picturesque, and chic with indoor and outdoor seating. Loved the complimentary welcome glass of wine, but the wines overall were pretty mediocre for a $65 flight (includes 5 small tastes). Pro: * They let us stay past our time limit. * Kid friendly, and they even gave them cute little cork key chains! * They have a tennis court, outdoor spaces, though we explored none of these. Con: * Service was friendly but awkward. Noting that just our server seemed that way, the rest were more normal. * Wines and flight expensive, tasting comped only after a THREE bottle purchase (wow....)

Yelp
Just returned from a fabulous morning of Pickle Ball on the court overlooking the beautiful Sonoma Mountains and vineyards followed by a Legacy tasting with excellent service provided throughout our visit by Brandon! Brandon was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and his expertise was appreciated by several in the group who have been wine servers themselves, so that they having an appreciation for and understanding of good wines and service. We were excited to try the 2023 PicPoul Blanc, an ancient varietal Rhone when offered. It is always fun to try something a bit atypical. Several bottles were purchased so it was definitely a winner. The side by side tasting of the Pinots and Syrahs were appreciated too as we were able to explore the nuances of each. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience! Barbara, Karla, Kim, Suzanne

Yelp
Rainy day wine tasting. Plenty of indoor seating with cute nooks and comfortable seating areas. Wine tasting fee is expensive, though perhaps on par with the area; they'll waive the cost of the fee if you purchase three bottles. Anaba has a food menu - wood fired pizzas looked amazing though we opted for a few appetizers instead: the burrata and fava bean and asparagus fries were delicious and dishes I'd order again. The winery also has several outdoor seating areas, making Anaba a lovely destination on a sunny day too. Notwithstanding costs, I'd recommend given the vibe and beauty of the space, food, and excellent service.

Yelp
I recently visited Anaba Wines for the second time and absolutely loved it! The first time I went for a friend's birthday lunch and the food was incredible. It's a hidden gem with a beautiful indoor space and really cozy outdoor seating, combined with beautiful views. The staff is super attentive and hospitable and they took a lot of time and attention in explaining the wines to us while also giving up as opportunity to try a variety of grapes. Another added bonus is that the cost of a tasting is super reasonable and the rosé and white wines are especially delicious. Definitely visit Anaba wines if you're in Sonoma, you will not regret it!

Yelp
Came here for a girls day in wine country. We made reservations in advance and got a table with nice shade by the building. We picked Anaba due to the variety of whites and reds they had as well as the pretty views. When we were done with our tasting we walked around and enjoyed the views. They can accommodate larger groups as we saw them out near the bocce courts. We split the charcuterie board that would be best shared with a group of four, it was a lot for the two of us! The wines were enjoyable and we purchased a couple of bottles! We'd definitely recommended checking our Anaba in Sonoma.

Nicole L.

Yelp
My husband and I (and our dog) visited Anaba Wines while we were in Sonoma for a horse show. We are super new to the wine world and came across this vineyard. I can not renter the name of the lady who helped us and did our first wine tasting, but she was amazing! She educated us in a way that we would understand and was extremely lovely to chat with. We loved the grounds and the patio area that is dog friendly. We ordered a charcuterie board to enjoy while we were tasting the wines and ended up buying two bottles of a pino noir blend. It was a perfect introduction to the world of wine.

Clayton R.

Yelp
My wife and I absolutely love Anaba Wines. We love it so much that we got married there! This is the kinda winery where you walk in and feel like part of a family. We love their Pinot and their Rosè! If you are coming to the area, Anaba is a must!

Ashley L.

Yelp
A lot of my friends are members there. Reasonable tastings. Accommodate for large parties and have great service. Can easily reserve a tasting on Tock or Online. Their merchandise is super cute & they sell adorable candles made out of old wine bottles. The Chardonnay one is my favorite! Great wine! If you are a member (I think only for members but don't quote me on that), you can utilize their pickle ball courts! Not a super fancy winery but in the best way. Keep in mind if you do the bottle service for a bigger party, they require you to purchase 1 bottle per 2 people to enjoy there or bring home. We had just come from 2 wineries prior, so we weren't able to drink as much there, but no complaints as we were able to bring them home!

Linda H.

Yelp
Passed by this winery probably at least 100 times and haven't ever checked it out till I heard about the Johnny doughnut collaboration. Wine and donuts...? Yes please. Paired well with the tasting. Def different from any other tasting I've done but I'm a huge fan of unique and different and thinking outside the box, so kudos for that. The grounds of the winery are beautiful, from the outside you would have no idea. The service and staff was overwhelmingly nice. Great job guys! Def will be back to try out other unique wine pairings.

Catalina L.

Yelp
What a lovely winery! Sitting outside enjoying the sun was so nice on lounging lawn chairs There is a pleasant surprise of a welcome wine tasting when you arrive. They're known for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir based wine. The Legacy flight had six pours and the rosé was my favorite more fruit forward wine. The Elements flight was four pours and great to sample their flagship wines. Syrah was very bitter for my preferences. The other Chardonnay and Pinots were nice to try Deviled eggs were also lovely. Tons of other pizza food and snacks to try for next time!

Rebecca R.

Yelp
Cute little vineyard with tasting room that serves small bites. I ordered arancini but was delivered the artichoke beignet and ate it all before I realized it wasn't what I ordered but it was delish too so all good. The wines were really good too.

Amanda O.

Yelp
I brought my family here for Father's Day for a tasting. The wine and views were great. The tasting room is also beautiful. The service was somewhat lacking. We ordered patatas bravas (roasted potatoes with sauce) and the host put them on the table but did not provide napkins, plates or utensils. When I finally went in to ask for those things five minutes later, the host seemed annoyed and said "we normally don't put out plates and napkins." That was not only a weird response, but it also was not true since the table next to us had them. They brought out forks, plates, and napkins another five minutes later. In a place like Sonoma when everyone is in a cute dress, they think people are going to eat potatoes and sauce with their hands? Lol This winery also does not change glasses between wines during the tastings, which is a bit of a faux pax. When we asked about it, the waitress said "we are too busy for that." Just a little more fine tuning on customer service and this spot can be great!

KayLeigh L.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time here and we were taken care of by Vlada! I came from Georgia for my birthday to visit a friend and we drove to Sonoma for the day. Anaba was a modern, non-pretentious, winery with every accommodation. During our wine tasting (my second of the day) I asked Vlada if she had any snacks and she prepared a full charcuterie board for our table. She was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. I didn't take many pictures but trust you will have a wonderful time here!

Allison S.

Yelp
Amazing Wines! We had made reservations at a neighboring winery a month ago. As we were headed to Napa today, that winery canceled due to a "private event." Needless to say we were less than pleased. That particular winery recommended Anaba. We are so grateful they did! They were very accommodating. Amazing food, wines and scenery. Ken served us and he was fun and very knowledgeable. We can't wait to visit again!! So happy we ended up here.

Dana S.

Yelp
Service 5/5 Wines & food 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Had a wonderful experience at Anaba! Booked a reservation 2 weeks in advance for a Saturday afternoon. Upon arriving, you are greeted with a complimentary white wine. Our server, Emily, really made the experience memorable with her personal anecdotes, deep knowledge about the wines and overall hospitality. We ordered the $40 elements tasting along with cheese and crackers. If the weather permits, I highly recommend sitting on the patio where you are blessed with a panoramic view of hills and the vineyard. Definitely coming back the next time I'm in Sonoma.

Cecilia B.

Yelp
This is a cute gem I found on my way back from a spa day in Napa! The atmosphere was great, very relaxing and cozy! The wine tasting experience was amazing! Carlos, my server was super helpful and charismatic! He knows his WINE and answered all my questions! Highly recommend!

Spanky M.

Yelp
Pinot's galore. Nice spot at the 116 and 121 junction. Covered outdoor seating and nice view of the hills. Modern interior decor. Unlike Napa wineries they serve food. It's not Napa wineries fault, thems just the rules. So, Sonoma wineries get to have more fun. Wines were good. IMHO very pricey for what they were. But I'm poor They got bocce ball court. The food was decent as well. Wood fired pizzas, charcuterie, and arancini's were on order. All were well priced and a solid execution. A fair bit of strollers, so family friendly, if that's you're thing. Parking a plenty and electric car chargers for those of you who prefer to burn nautral gas instead of petroleum.

Ibis T.

Yelp
Nice service, pizza smelled delicious but unfortunately we didn't try that. Wine was good and awesome they have sustainable practices!

L M.

Yelp
Great Ambiance, the server might have been new but still pleasant. The wine was delicious and priced fairly for the quality. Highly recommend.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
If you're compiling a list of wineries to hit up in Sonoma, you MUST add Anaba to your list. They have two seating areas, one out in the open, and one in a courtyard with a clear tent above it. The outdoor area is gorgeous and filled with adirondack chairs - PERFECT for kicking back with friends. It was pretty windy when we arrived around 4pm, so we opted to sit in the covered courtyard area; even during COVID, we felt that the tables were well-spaced enough! Our server was AWESOME (I can't remember her name right now, ugh!). I consider myself a wine novice, so when I go to tastings, I really value servers who take the time to explain characteristics of each pour for me to appreciate. Our server took the time to share her knowledge and answer my friends' questions about wines. We were offered two different tastings - one at $35 (reds/whites), and one at $65 (pinot noirs). They waive 1 tasting with purchase of 3 bottles. Our friends ended up walking out of here with 6 bottles! 5 stars, we'll be back the next time we're in the area!

Kimberly N.

Yelp
Pretty vineyard, but it was a little disorganized. It took a good 30 mins between our 1st and 2nd pour. I'm happy that they offered food, the pizza smelled delicious. I did not like the wine here, maybe I'm a bit biased and usually lean towards big bolder reds. However, I been to over 50+ vineyards before and nothing here stood out. More of a casual winery to bring friends rather than to celebrate anything.

Vicki L.

Yelp
Fun experience! Our group of four sat indoors - great lunch and tasting experience. Friendly service.

Christina J.

Yelp
This place is great The Standard tasting and cheese plate are solid Would definitely try this place again

Tina O.

Yelp
Wow - their new (2019) tasting room and grounds are gorgeous. We did the standard tasting ($35) and enjoyed some lovely wines. Nothing jumped out at us as fabulous though. Our server, Jim, was lovely and offered us to "revisit" anything or try something from their other tasting menu which we did. Highly recommended.

Danielle M.

Yelp
The pizza and Chardonnay are a perfect combination. I recommend the patio seating as I have sat out there twice during the rain. Service is also outstanding!

Luisa M.

Yelp
Loved the ambiance the wine of course, the pizza. Great place to come and relax and get away from it all. I it feels like you're on vacation. Would recommend and will be my come to when in Sonoma.

Sam J.

Yelp
I am so glad I found Anaba! I've been slowly making my way around all of the regional wineries and this place is now high on my list of must-return!!! This is my #1 mid-tier winery. Ambiance and Atmosphere: This winery is casual, hip, and perfect for friends. The large, open field is great for large groups, and the bocce ball court is a distraction for those who might not totally be into the relaxing wine tasting experience. The bathrooms and amenities are new and in pristine condition. Wines: I ordered the regular tasting flight and was met with pleasant, crisp, light wines. I brought home a bottle of wine that we first sipped upon entry to the winery. These wines paired perfectly with the sunny, bright patio. I cannot recommend this spot enough. I can't wait to be back.

Gary W.

Yelp
Driving between Tahoe and San Francisco, we had a few hours to taste some wines in Sonoma. After researching wineries, we selected Anaba due to its outstanding reviews on Yelp (and elsewhere) and the gorgeous photos of the grounds and good food. We followed the Yelp advice and are thrilled we did! Anaba is a gem...a fantastic place to enjoy a wine tasting (matched with some excellent cheese boards and some outstanding pizzas). My wife and I loved the views, enjoyed the wines and particularly loved their Chardonnay, Pinot and their Late Harvest. The best pizzas were the Margherita and the Funghi, and our server James was awesome! They were professional, handled COVID safely, and have a wonderful space for relaxing and enjoying. We joined their wine club and left with a dozen bottles of wonderful, reasonably priced wine. We hope to be back soon and cannot recommend it enough!

Chanli S.

Yelp
Very disapppointed in the service. As soon as we sat down, we were rushed even when we asked our server to slow down. He wouldn't let us order and insisted the he served us our chocolate wine tasting first. He ruined our vibe. We were out in 30m vs the normal 90 min tasting. I wouldn't recommend this place because of the service or lack of.

Tarik A.

Yelp
Fantastic!!! We went here this morning. The wine was great. The winery and scenery were beautiful and Carlos was amazing. What a great host. Highly recommend!

Sabrina D.

Yelp
We had the best time ever at Anaba and it's all thanks to Carlos!!! Such a fun experience and would love to come back!

Scott B.

Yelp
Came in without a reservation (didn't realize they were appointment only, totally our bad.) The lady turned us away and said they didn't have any reservations for another hour. We then pulled up their website and saw they had reservations all day and made one that started immediately. Mkay. We sat down and ordered a bottle of wine. Server returned awhile later and said bottles are for club members only, contrary to what their menu says. Tastings are more expensive than a bottle. Mmmmm Ight. We order a cheese and charcuterie board. They forget the charcuterie. No plates or silverware. Not chill. The visuals and wines were nice, though.

Rae S.

Yelp
Absolutely loved our experience here. We walked in without an appointment on our way to the airport because our flight was delayed. The front desk woman seemed overwhelmed due to the windy weather packing everyone inside, and I was worried we wouldn't have a chance to taste, but then waltzed up our hero! A lovely woman who without question said let me get you a glass of wine and find a place for you. She was absolutely delightful and made our experience what it was. We didn't catch her name but she was the star of the show! Customer service 20/10, and the wine was good. We liked the Chardonnay, Pinot, and Syrah blend, then we got to try a barrel sample which was very fun. Beyond grateful we stopped here, a must on your route, this place was an exceptionally unexpected delight!

Kate B.

Yelp
Anaba wines is amazing! I picked this winery based off Yelp reviews and proximity to the rest of my reservations and I am extremely glad because I will definitely be going back. The view and landscape here are stunning. The bocce ball and pickle ball are unique touches. The way the tasting room opens up to the hills is truly amazing. The staff was very nice and overall, the place had a great, relaxed vibe. I felt very safe with respect to Covid and can't wait to see the scene here post-Covid!

Kelly L.

Yelp
Visited Anaba for the second time yesterday. Had a wonderful time here with friends. We did the Summer Solstice tasting and it was great. Our host Nicole was really nice and answered all of our questions about the wines. Will definitely come back here in the future.

Kimberly H.

Yelp
One of the closest wineries to San Francisco but with all the charm that any other winery in Sonoma or Napa may have, the winery has a new building with an indoor tasting area, an outdoor tasting area on the green and even a semi-outdoor area under a transparent tent akin to a greenhouse that makes it perfect for a rainy or windy day as you can sit outdoors but not be exposed to the elements. It is also one of the few wineries where you can order food, such as pizza or a charcuterie board that is slightly more than at restaurants but worth it. They carry different varieties of wine and all are quite tasty. There is a private parking lot with charging stations for some. A great place to visit if you have friends or family visiting from out of town who want to experience NorCal wine tasting without spending half the day commuting from the city.

K+A A.

Yelp
Beautiful setting, E-x-e-l-l-e-n-t service from the front hostess, to the gal who sat us. to the wine attendant!! All so nice and genuinely hospitable, especially our server Carlos (I believe)!! Our favs for the tasting were the Turbine White Rhône Blend and the Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast!!

Tracey A.

Yelp
Sometimes you don't need a place to be all fancy or special or pouring $75+ bottles of wine. You just want to be served some wine while seated at an outdoor table overlooking a vineyard. Anaba Wines has got you covered for those non-fancy times. Situated a little too near a busy 3-way stop and gas station, if you're traveling between Marin and Napa/Sonoma you've passed Anaba hundreds of time, and barely noticed them. Next month you might start noticing though as they've built a whole new tasting facility which sits much further away from the busy intersection and gas station. Smart move; it's scheduled to open in September. Meanwhile, I'll tell you this: from a current patio table the intersection and gas station are out of sight and out of mind. Sitting there and experiencing a tasting is low-key and pleasant and they'll pour little bits of a lot of wines (more than the 7 promised on the tasting menu). With only 4 acres of vineyards, Anaba sources most of their grapes elsewhere and though I wasn't a fan of anything white or rose, a couple of their reds perked me up a bit (though I stopped short of purchasing). Reasonably priced, Anaba will waive a tasting fee when two bottles are purchased and during my visit, offered to waive both fees if I purchased 3 bottles. With tastings running $20 (reduced to $15 with yelp check-in) and the wines well-priced, this is a reasonable trade-off. I wasn't in love with anything about Anaba but I could see the attraction. After you've been to the high-end wineries, the big name wineries, and the ridiculously popular wineries consider Anaba. Their offering is relaxed and unpretentious and, compared to some other places, might just feel like a breath of fresh air.

Brian S.

Yelp
Amazing venue and wine. Nichole took great care of us and was very knowledgeable about all wines and history of the area. We will definitely come back. Our favorite was the Pinot Noir Petalu

Arturo S.

Yelp
We went to Sonoma for our anniversary last week for the first time and stopped by Anaba. I dropped the ball on making reservations but we were lucky to have someone make a call and they allowed us a spot in the afternoon. They took us out to a beautiful outdoor area. They followed safety protocols and when it got breezy offered us some blankets. James was our guy. I asked him about some flavors in wine and he busted out with an explanation about "chemical chains" - he was so knowledgeable and friendly. Moira was awesome! She got us a reservation at a restaurant for a proper dinner - a reservation I couldn't book online! Thanks again, Moira! The tasting price was a tad on the high side but it's about the experience- and the experience was excellent!! And the wine was yummy!! We brought home a bottle too.

Katelynn R.

Yelp
I would skip this one if I were you. The service was bad, although they weren't busy. They were very unaccommodating. The food was stupidly overpriced ($15 for sweet potato fries) and we left as soon as we could

Kristian D.

Yelp
You may have passed by Anaba Wines many times like I have before finally stopping by. Their small winery and tasting room is near the intersection of Highway 116 & 121 in the middle of the Carneros region. You can look for the small wind turbine on the property that generates power for the winery. The tasting room is upscale country with a small interior bar and a larger outdoor patio. The tasting fee is on the high side, but still lower than Napa with a refund by buying two bottles per person. You do not need an appointment to visit, but the place can easily get crowded as larger groups come and go. Most of the wine on the menu did not come from the estate or the Carneros region and consisted of several Rhone wines not typical of a Carneros experience. There was a bit too much Syrah on the menu for my specific palate, but their white blend was very good. Service was a bit slow due to the crowds, but the staff did a good job of explaining the wine and the winery. I am glad I tried Anaba, but I am disappointed by the lack of estate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir - which is really why you drive to Carneros.

Yelp
The wines were okay and the food tasted okay. Mostly the issue was with poor and rude service. The food was also incredibly overpriced and made for a bad experience. Would have loved to experience kinder staff and more reasonable portions. It was $15 for about 12 sweet potato fries!!

Yelp
Great winery to visit- especially during COVID times as they have a beautiful outdoor patio area with lots of seating. They bring you your tasting flight on a tray that has ice on it to keep the wine cool. You have to make a reservation in advance in order to visit, but this is easy to do on tock. They have a bocce ball court too. Also if you make a purchase they will refund you one of your tasting fees. I liked their pinot and their white and red port. We bought the ports home because they were unique and came in traditional port bottles. Definitely another favorite for Sonoma :)

Yelp
My friend and I stopped here while on a visit to the area. We weren't really sure what to expect since it was a spontaneous decision. However when we walked in, it was absolutely beautiful. We could not believe the view and how amazing everything was. Our server Ben was beyond amazing. Very polite, helpful and had plenty of knowledge to answer our questions! We ended up leaving with 3 bottles of wine to take home to share with our families. Seriously can't wait to go back!

Yelp
My proudest moment in wine tasting was at Anaba. I like to taste the wines before reading the descriptions to test/train my palette. I spent several minutes in silence just sniffing and sipping one of their Chardonnays trying to figure it out. It was dry with medium-ish acid but also slightly bitter - citrusy but not entirely so. Finally it hit me and I blurted out "ORANGE PEEL". To my delight those exact words were on the page, and for a moment I felt like a professional wine taster. Out of the 10 or so Sonoma/Napa wineries I've been to so far, my best experience was at Anaba. The wines they have are especially fragrant and the tasting notes were much more readily apparent. It made for a delicious and entertaining tasting session. I generally like smaller wineries for their wine tasting and educational experience (big wineries are better for pics), and Anaba was a prime example of that. Alan was the one helping us that day and he was amazing! He taught us about the history of the Carneros region, wine labels, Rhone Valley grapes, the importance of wind in wine, etc. He was never pretentious or snobby, always great about answering our questions. He let us take our time with our wines initially but then once we let him know we were in a hurry to make a lunch reservation he was always ready to go with our next wine as soon as we were ready. The pours were a good amount and the tasting includes SIX wines, the last one being a dessert wine which is awesome! Not sure if this is standard procedure, but Alan also gave us an additional taste of a Petite Sirah that he had open. So we had 7 tastes for just $10 (after the Yelp checkin deal). Definitely a great value tasting for some of the best wines I've ever had.
