The Anaheim Marriott is a large hotel adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center, and quite close to the Disneyland Resort. The room decor is Marriott Modern. It's not super luxe, but it's nice and has all the essentials: coffee maker (with some tea bags as well), comfortable bedding, ample workspace, and plenty of power outlets at the bedside and work area with USB-A ports as well. Plus multiple in-house dining options and room service. If you are a Marriott Bonvoy member at the Platinum level or above, you'll have access to the Concierge Lounge. Check with the hotel for current offerings there, but during my last visit, they had a basic, but reliable breakfast (eggs, potatoes, sausage, breads). At some properties the lounge isn't great, but here it's definitely worth a visit.
I have never attended an organized event here, so can't speak about the meeting, banquet, and ballrooms, except to say they can accommodate groups from small to large, and if the nFuse Restaurant, Bar & Lounge (see separate review) is any clue, the catering ought to be fabulous.
This is an ideal place if you are coming to Anaheim to visit Disneyland, don't fancy a motel, but also don't care to stay in a Disney hotel at Disney prices. Downtown Disney and the parks are easily walkable, or you can take the ART bus: Route 5 Grand Plaza Line stops in front of the hotel and takes you to the Disneyland Esplanade.
The hotel has the standard Marriott Market grab & go, which includes a Starbucks. And there is a (pricey) gift shop that I wouldn't recommend (go to Downtown Disney to shop!).
I review the dining options, nFuse and Slice pizzeria, separately.
The bottom line: the Anaheim Marriott is a good place to stay, whether for your group event or your family visit to Disneyland. Prices are dynamic, so you'll want to book as early as you can and check different times of year to find a deal if you're planning a vacation.
DISCLAIMER: I have family employed at this hotel, so despite my determination to be objective, I must confess that when I'm attended by staff who know I'm someone's Uncle Charlie, I might get better service than someone else. On the other hand, it's a big hotel with a large staff, and many times I've been helped by people who have no clue who I am and I have never had a reason to complain.
