We had one night here as part of our tour and the place is really unique, views are great, staff are really chilled and its a one off kind of place.
The hotel is dry, but a local guy will sell you beer at a price only slightly higher than the old cataract hotel. :-).
Just really sorry we didn't get the chance to taste the nubian coffee, which another guy is selling.

We only stayed in Aswan one night, but this place made it one of our most memorable experiences in Egypt! The staff were friendly and courteous, the food was delicious, and they gave us a lovely boat tour of the gorgeous area.

A perfect location, a quiet, peaceful and beautiful place. Amazing scenery, rock formations, located directly by the Nile, you can stay all day long just enjoying the view. Staff are super friendly and helpful and food is delicious. If you are looking for relaxation this is the place to be. Will go back again.

Truely unique experience that is unforgettable. My Husband & I stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip and from the moment we arrived the service was incredible. We had a private guide included in our stay that is a local in the village which made it super easy for exploring the village. The guide was fantastic and very helpful. We booked one of the newer rooms and it was beautiful. We loved the fresh crisp white walls detailed with black stars it was so much fun! The room is spacious, clean and smelt incredible! The food was absolutely delicious. It was so lovely to enjoy the local cuisine. We stayed 3 nights in the Nubian village at Anakato and it was super relaxing and a fantastic experience. Very different to the Egyptian side of the Nile. The Nubian people are very welcoming, they don't expect tips for even saying hi which was refreshing coming from Cairo! However; as tourism is their main source of income you will get a little bit of haggling, but nothing compared to other destinations in Egypt. There is a wonderful local market and the whole village is super colourful and defiantly worth a few hours of wandering. The hotel organised a private Felucca boat tour at sunset along the Nile river, it was a magical experience we will never forget. We also had a wonderful experience in the Nubian dessert enjoying Nubian tea under the stars and running down the big sand dune. Travel tip when they ask what you would like for dinner be specific and give them a budget you want to spend or ask for a menu. We made this mistake and was given so much food it could have feed a big family. We don't like to waste food and are not big eaters this also cost us above our expected budget. Which was sad to spend money on food that was going to waste. To see Videos and Photos check out our Instagram @loveluxon. We will defiantly visit this hotel again it was a memorable experience and the Hotel and village is so pretty!

Very unique place. Small village with it's own unique language. Connections to Sudan and Egypt. Spices and vendors all over. The villagers are very friendly and their livelihood is tourism so they're pushy but nice.

It's a really nice place but my friends got robbed while we were there, probably someone from the cleaning staff, money was taken from the room while we were out. The problem is the administration wasn't too professional about it and some guy kept implicating that we were doing this to get a discount because we had no money or something.

Good but small amount of food. If you are Egyptian ask for two rice. Meat is hot and spicy be careful. View is awesome take pictures as much as you can.
