Chef Rajinder is an amazing cook. Very good option for vegetarian and vegan. Have my lunch in this restaurant only during my 10 days stay. The only thing lack is that they don’t serve dinner.

Loved the staff and the food. Drinks: chai is sweet and delicious, very creamy; mango juice made from mangos of their own mango trees! Super fresh and naturally sweet! Food: we samples lots of items from the buffet and there was so many other options that we couldn't try. Highlights were the eggplant, fried rice, and soya chunks. The pasta and potatoes were also great. Dessert: with our drinks as sweet treats we didn't need much else, but had one sweet plantain which melted in our mouths. Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience!

A Wonderful Experience at Ananda Restaurante Vegetariano I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ananda Restaurante Vegetariano during my 7-day stay in Santo Domingo, and I can confidently say it was one of the highlights of my trip. Their lunch specials are a must-try, especially the thali, which offers a delightful assortment of curries, lentils, and other vegetarian dishes. Each dish was bursting with flavor, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection. The parathas are another standout – they’re soft, warm, and wonderfully comforting, pairing perfectly with the rich curries. What makes the experience even more memorable is the personal touch from Chef Rajender Singh. He’s an incredibly warm and welcoming person, taking the time to make sure every guest feels like family. His passion for cooking shines through in every dish, and it’s clear that he takes great pride in creating a homely and inviting atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Ananda Restaurante Vegetariano is a true gem for anyone craving flavorful vegetarian cuisine in Santo Domingo. I left with a full belly and a warm heart, and I’ll definitely be back on my next visit.

Had a great time. Food is simple but delicious. It’s a limited menu of two thali options. But it just feels very warm and comforting, and what we were looking for while traveling for several days.

After they have reopened, it is nothing like it used to be. No more self service style, where you could get what you liked. Now you have the choice in between 2 possible plates and that’s it. No more options. Just those 2 and that’s it…. Would not recommend it to my worst enemy. Now you know what to expect.

This restaurant is not recommended for people to taste a good food, instead choose a road side / quality restaurant food shop. The food smells like a day old cooked food and some of the vegetable dishes are expired. They not even consider to replace those expired foods. Is it healthy for the yoga people to eat expired food? The place is calm and quiet, but what to enjoy with this kind of food? One star for calmness and not for food. Better avoid this place, unless your touch is already dead.

This is a great cafeteria to go to for lunch. It is vegetarian but probably 75% of the dishes are vegan, so even vegans have lots of options. They usually have a couple types of fake meat. But honestly, I usually just go for the beans, which are delicious. They also serve white and brown rice, pasta, cooked veggies, fresh veggies and juices.

I like this place very much. It is nice to spend some time in a piece full place! Food is good too! I like their vegetarian fish and tea.
