Ananda Villa

I stayed at Ananda Villa in December 2024. The rooms and the hotel in general is well maintained and clean. A highlight for me was the view from the small balcony. Also the location is great, surrounded by multiple restaurants / cafes, 15-20min walking distance to Sairee beach and just 3-5min walking distance from the pier located. The combination with Breeze (beachfront cafe & restaurant) is great, we had our breakfast there every day. You can also rent your motorbike at the hotel, the price is on the same level as other places on the island. All in all a great stay with very good value for money.

Great location right on the beach and near to dive centres and restaurants. Rooms are clean and spacious. Lots of counter space in the bathroom, with hot water and good water pressure in the showers. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Best place to stay on Koh Tao Ananda Villas, have stayed here many times and always have the best holiday. I consider they have the best location, a short walk from The Pier but on the edge of the busy area so nice and quiet, situated right on a gorgeous beach, outstanding staff that treat you like family checking in with you and greeting you with their beautiful smiles. Highlights of the rooms are the verandahs with gorgeous sea views, comfy beds excellent showers, and always spotlessly cleaned and excellent wifi. Great value for money especially my favourite room that is situated so you feel you are on the water and doze off listening to the waves. To make your holiday extra special they do your laundry, we were there for a month and was always returned at night perfectly clean/folded for like 50 bhat. Everyday we dined at their restaurants Breeze and Pranees and always had amazing meals service and incredible value. Also they hire quality scooters making it incredibly easy, also can book you ferries or any other activity. The Owners and Staff in reception/restaurants/housekeeping and dive centre are all so passionate about their jobs they can’t do enough for you always going the extra mile with their customer service making you feel like family. Book here you won’t regret it 😃 and check out their dive school Black Turtle Dive the most genuine conservation conscious dive instructor’s that really care about you and the environment. The hotel has a strategic location, 2 mins walk from the pier. There is a good restaurant on site with good service. In the neighborhood, there are many restaurants and businesses. It is within walking distance to Sairee.

Perfect location, nice rooms, great staff (!). The only thing preventing 5 stars is that you can hear noise from outside in the evening and morning. No problem to sleep through it though!

Extremely poor communication. Sent a reservation request for 7 nights, as the website indicated the room was available. Received a "Hello" next morning at 10am as an answer, no further comment, the after asking, 4 hours later they just answered "not available" and canceled the reservation. Really poor customer service!

Great for the price point. We stayed for a total of 6 nights. Location is convenient and very close to the pier. Many restaurants and stores nearby. The service was great and the room service did a very fast job always. Basic necessity are provided such as beach towels, fan, fridge, etc. This is a 2 star hotel so I wouldn’t expect much like tooth paste, toothbrush, etc so bring those items yourself. They can accommodate with ferry bookings and shuttles to Koh Samui. They also provide bike rentals if needed but there are plenty of shops nearby as well. We stayed in B2 which was upstairs and the only downside is the wifi. If you rely on wifi for work or any business meetings, I do NOT recommend staying here. We used our phone plans the whole stay as the internet was way too slow. I can’t say about the rest of the other rooms wifi connection. Other than that, it was a good overall stay.

We loved staying here. There’s a lot of poor reviews but we had no issues. They check us in 3 hours early, did our laundry and had it returned before promised, room was on the second floor with a nice beach view, quiet stay with a comfy bed, AC and refrigerator, shower was nice and had hot water, beach towels provided, restaurant was awesome. Not sure what people expect from a 2 star hotel but we were shocked at how nice this place was for what we paid. Maybe it’s because we spent the night before in a shack with lizards running across the ceiling the night before but we had no complaints here.
