Ananda Villa

We've now stayed here 4 times with the same 5 star results. The place is western owned thus you can expect a level of service and comfort that's not easy to find on a remote island in Thailand. Cafe has excellent choices of western food and Thai that are affordable given the beach location. The rooms sit on the beach with most having a sea view from balcony. Watch boats come and go, people watch like a pro, mingle with others ( many who stay here for the dive school nextdoor). Rooms super clean and smell fresh. Room cleaning lady's are super, I tipped them often. This location is ideal of you want to be within walking distance of everything, including your ferry ride on/off the island.

Very nice hotel, great location. |It’s not the most modern hotel, but everything works well and best of all is the location. |This is my go to place in Koh Tao. |They have a restaurant at the front on the beach which is exceptionally good. They also do room service.

Compared to other places in Koh Tao the room was nice, clean and the towels/sheets smelled good. Price/quality you expected a bit more for what you paid. Two doors down a stay would be half the price and you would get a room of a little bit less quality but also a pool. Staff was really friendly and the location is conveniently next to the pier where you arrive. It’s a bit of a walk to where all the bars/restaurants are but if you rent a scooter you’ll be more than fine.

I stayed for 6 nights. The hotel is right at sairee beach but in a relaxed area. Amazing stay for divers as the black turtle dive center is right next to it. There were super super small ants in the hotel room but besides that everything was fine. 7/11 is also only a few minute walk away as well as several restaurants and the pier where you get off the ferry. Don’t expect a five star resort hotel and you’ll be fine :-) enjoyed my stay here

I had a brilliant stay for 10 days while diving on Koh Tao. So convenient right next to dive centre, cafe, restaurant, and sea view from our veranda. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I would stay again with no hesitation. Thank you lovely Ananda people. X

Nice and clean hotel with friendly staff. All you need is nearby. Very close to the beach. Awakening with sea breeze and wave sounds is a pleasure every morning.

Ananda Villa is a lovely place to stay: perfectly located, well-kept, and very comfortable. The lady who runs it is extremely kind and welcoming. Breakfast is included at the Breeze Bar next door, where the staff is friendly and the food is delicious and convenient. Highly recommended!

I stayed at Ananda Villa in December 2024. The rooms and the hotel in general is well maintained and clean. A highlight for me was the view from the small balcony. Also the location is great, surrounded by multiple restaurants / cafes, 15-20min walking distance to Sairee beach and just 3-5min walking distance from the pier located. The combination with Breeze (beachfront cafe & restaurant) is great, we had our breakfast there every day. You can also rent your motorbike at the hotel, the price is on the same level as other places on the island. All in all a great stay with very good value for money.
