Anantara Hoi An Resort

"Set on the Thu Bon River, this 93-room, colonial-style resort offers full immersion in Hoi An—you're less than a kilometer from its historic quarter, and a promenade takes you toward cafes, teahouses, and shrines within the UNESCO Heritage site. Rooms are crisp and contemporary—cool palates and clean lines—and offer a lovely counterpoint to the amazing lushness of the grounds and surrounding landscape. If you really want to take advantage of the relaxation possibilities, book a 90-minute Vietnamese four-hand massage (yes, that's two therapists to your one person) at the spa; because two really is better than one, right?"

What a beautiful 5 star hotel experience. You pay a bit more by Vietnamese standards but it is worth it. Rooms were super comfy, great air con, delicious breakfast, the pool was 5 stars. We enjoyed a barbecue lunch by the pool along with a mojito. Extremely friendly staff and attentive. I would definitely stay here again. ❤️

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this resort. Just fantastic, the attention to detail is incredible. Great location only a 10 minute walk into the Old Town. The newly renovated Spa was a treat. So peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast daily you couldn't fault especially the Pho! My fav breakfast when in Vietnam. Special mentions to the following who looked after us and treated us like VIPs. It was nice to be 'Home'|Thanks to Hai, Van, Le and Minh for making our stay that more enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you all next year!

From start to finish, our experience at Anantara Hoi An was outstanding. The reservation process was seamless, with prompt and friendly communication from the team. Special requests were handled effortlessly, and we received thoughtful pre-arrival emails that made everything easy to plan.||||Our arrival was warm and welcoming, with refreshing towels and drinks offered on check-in, and the staff took the time to walk us through the beautiful riverside property. Throughout our stay, the staff were exceptional — consistently attentive, friendly, and genuinely committed to making our stay memorable.||||The location is perfect, just a short stroll to Hoi An’s Old Town, yet far enough to enjoy peace and privacy. The setting is lush and tranquil, and the rooms are elegant, spacious, and immaculately maintained.||||The value for money is excellent, especially given the level of service, comfort, and amenities provided. And to top it all off, we were generously offered a complimentary late check-out, which allowed us to end our stay in the same relaxed spirit we began it.||||Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined, peaceful, and welcoming stay in Hoi An. We will absolutely return.

The best thing about this resort is its location: very easy walking distance to the old town, right on the river and its beautiful French colonial buildings and green ground. It was a nice oasis of calm after a busy day outside.||We stayed in the Deluxe Garden View Room which was nicely decorated with all the amenities that we needed.||The pool is small but nice enough for a dip to cool off. The resort provided complimentary bicycles which were great for exploring the nice beach, rice fields and even the old town.||We had a buffet breakfast once and found that the dishes were more for non-Asian guests which was a pity, especially with Hoi An offering so many local delicious dishes and we were looking forward to tasting them at the resort.||Excellent service with a smile from all the staff. A special "Thank You" to Ms Diem, Front Office Manager, (apologies for any incorrect spelling) and her team who looked after us very well.

This is such a lovely place to stay. The welcome, service and facilities were some of the best I have encountered. It was sufficiently central but still in a quieter location to feel as if you could rest and relax. We had breakfast at the hotel and there was a fabulous range from which to choose. Something for everyone. Rooms were spacious even for three of us and all requirements had been considered. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff, from the minute we arrived to the moment we left, were friendly and attentive but not so much that it was intrusive. I would be keen to return as this hotel ticked all the boxes for us.

Quite simply, one of the best hotels my wife and I have ever been! A true five stars, if of the "understated" kind (which we much prefer). The location is perfect: on one of the main streets of Hoi An, but just that little bit recessed to ensure that the noise level is acceptable; the city centre is only a pleasurable stroll away; and it is located on the riverside, with the result that it was the coolest spot in Hoi An every day, at any time (we stayed there 4 days). The facilities are impeccable: very nice, low buildings, each room with its own independent entrance; a nice swimming pool; a lovely breakfast room and restaurant area with wonderful views of the river; and a welcoming spa area. The staff was extremely professional, helpful and friendly, while absolutely not intrusive. We loved our room and food quality at breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice. However hard I try, I cannot think of anything we were "missing": everything was "just right", and of genuinely 5 star quality.|As for the restaurant, where we had dinner twice: the same comments about the wonderful location and the high professionalism of the staff apply; the food was very good too, but it must be said that in Hoi An there are restaurants where you can eat even better (and cheaper).

The resort is lovely and in a great location within walking of much of Hoi An - old quarter, shopping, restaurants. The rooms are fine - ours had steps in both the main area and then to get into the shower/bath. There is no lift, so if your room is on the 2nd or 3rd floors, you must be able to walk. Beware if you have difficulty with steps! Good breakfast, good variety. The housekeeping service is spotty - our coffee service and drinking glasses were not replenished/cleaned, and the turn down included a treat one night, but not the other. Still, for a couple of night stay, ease of getting to Hoi An, I recommend this hotel.

This is my 7th or 8th time staying at the Anantara. It’s my favourite hotel to visit every year, and feels like home every time I come back. The staff are so welcoming, warm, and lovely. The hotel is stunning and perfectly located for me to access the old town. The rooms a spacious, and the pool offers luxury relief in the afternoons when it is hot.||Thank you again ❤️
