I spent a wonderful three nights at the Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna, and it was a truly unforgettable experience and a perfect way to celebrate my birthday.
I was welcomed with an incredibly delicious birthday cake — a light, airy soufflé that was absolutely divine. The room was perfect, thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail: touch-control bath and shower, heated floors, premium cosmetics, very soft slippers in two sizes, and everything you could possibly need. The room design and finishes were exceptional — there was absolutely nothing to criticise. The only thing that felt slightly out of place was the Valera hairdryer, which seemed outdated for such a luxurious hotel.
Breakfast was a true work of art. The presentation was stunning, and the dishes were exceptional — shakshuka, an avocado toast with cottage cheese, and many other beautiful options. A huge thank you to the restaurant staff: the tall, young, curly-haired waiter for his excellent service and constant smile, and to Iana from Ukraine for her warm and attentive attitude. The food selection was amazing, and one of the smoothies — the passion fruit one — completely stole my heart.
At reception, I would like to highlight Manuel — incredibly friendly, attentive, and very helpful with extending my stay. Unfortunately, the young lady working the shift before him did not leave the same impression and wasn’t even aware of the happy hours.
Regarding the restaurant in the evening: there were only two staff members working during a full house at happy hours. We ordered champagne and asked for two glasses to be brought at once, but the waitress refused, explaining that the second glass could only be served after we finished the first one — which sounded quite strange.
The spa is small but very cozy. The large pool works like a giant jacuzzi — a perfect place to relax.
Overall, the hotel is fantastic — service, location, atmosphere, and attention to detail were all exceptional. I’m leaving with wonderful memories.
