Amazing Turkish Food- go for the Lamb Adana

Google
A great atmosphere and very welcoming staff. The food was ready in a few minutes after we ordered and it was amazing! Super great quality and delicious. I love this place and would come back again.

Louis

Google
It all comes down to affordability. The service was pleasant if not slightly arrogant at times. The atmosphere and vibe was comfortable once we sat down at our table. The food was from fine to tasty. The price however was just way too high for what you get. Knock off $6 from each main dish and $4 off of appetizers and we've got a winner. We just didn't find it special enough to warrant even a special meal or night out. We want to be wowed or impressed by a $24 main dish for it to seem worth it.

Gabriel Colwell

Google
Pita bread was fresh and ate so much of it. Lamb Adana tasted delicious with its seasonings. Dolma/Stuffed grape leaves were also good, a bit oily for my preference. Price point is definitely a bit of a concern. Overall a good experience with attentive friendly staff.

Google
I think the server was nice. The food was ok with very bright burst of flavor. The chef didn’t get the temp right on the lamb and octopus. Was very overcooked. I do want to express that we were a bit surprised that after our bottle of wine slid itself off the table because the table was uneven, meaning it was not our fault, and also spilled all over the floor, we were not offered a complimentary glass or two because of the wasted wine. I would say it wasn’t the quality of food and service I expected.

Google
If you want authentic, amazing Turkish food and great vibe, this is THE place!! The staff is so friendly and helpful in helping decide from the extensive menu, and the food!!! There is no better!!! If you love meat, fish, or vegetarian, this is the place!!! We drive 25 miles to get here! So worth the trip!! A hidden gem in Cleveland Hts!!

Google
We dined in with my friend, both ordered an appetizer, entree and a dessert. Things were good until waiter brought the bill (brown guy with a deep voice). My friend left him $10 tip and I left $3 tip. And the waiter lost his mind: “ this isn’t not even 10%” I said will come back tomorow and will give more tip, he say: “I don’t care if you come back or not, you should give at least 20%” he tell me: “I don’t need your money”. What a nasty behaviour, horrible customer service and lack of good attitude. Will never come back to this restaurant.

Google
Authentic Turkish food very well done! All foods ordered were savory with abundant portions for sharing or big appetites. Shepard salad and hummus highly recommended. The Doner was freshly prepared with the correct moistness complimented by the perfectly done rice. Stuffed eggplant was very flavorful. Turkish coffee was amazing. Service was very professional. Side note the cacık (Tzatziki) sauce and hot sauce were excellent!

Google
The food is amazing good! The meat test so good!! Actually test like meat if you know what i mean.

Yelp
Very good Turkish food Most of staff from turkey or neighboring countries Recommend gyros baked whole fish All deserts

Yaz A.

Yelp
Forgot how great the food was here. Everything tastes amazing, well worth the price! Best Mediterranean food in town. Prices are a little higher and have went up over the last few years, but thankfully the quality is still the same. Service was quick! And ambiance was top tier. Highly recommend

Blanche K.

Yelp
We came on a weekday dinner and the place was not too crowded! We were immediately seated, and greeted by our server and server - in - training. They explained the specials of the night and were very attentive, refilling our drinks constantly throughout the night. We stayed a while, catching up, and even though it was nearing closing, the staff still made every effort to make us feel welcomed and not rushed. We enjoyed the delicious mixed grilled platter, which was such a generous serving of grilled kebabs plated over a pile of lamb gyro! This is definitely the most tender meats I've had kebab style amongst the cleveland restaurants! Will be back for sure

Cielo F.

Yelp
The food was out of this world! We had an octopus salad, hummus and a flatbread. All of it was beyond delicious. The service was excellent and the staff was personable. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The ambiance is inviting and warm. If I could give this more than five stars I would give it a ten easily. I forgot to take pictures of everything but I did take a picture of the closed flatbread.

Yelp
Came here for after dinner drinks and ordered the Knafeh for dessert. Actually a big fan of this place after spending a short time here. Large space inside that wasn't obvious from the outside. Looking forward to coming back for a meal!

Jeff H.

Yelp
Delicious food. Accommodating service. Lovely dining rooms. But the prices are much too high!

Eugene T.

Yelp
Great food with great flavors. Service is a bit slow, but enough to be able to enjoy dinner

Renee B.

Yelp
We had a delicious dinner. The samplings of meat were juicy and tender. Comfortable surroundings are our service was excellent.

Greg C.

Yelp
Stopped here and sat outside on a beautiful nite. We were sat quickly and the food was delish. Got the mezze platter and split the donor dish. Plenty of food for two and the food was great. Only thing to detract was pretty under average service. A little disappointing. Nice place though, glad we stopped here.

Irene C.

Yelp
This is a great gem north of Coventry!! The inside is super warm with multiple fireplaces and authentic decor. I came with a big group of people, and we were seated immediately on a Friday night and was pretty empty probably bc of the rain. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant but there's a much larger one a block away. For the FOOD! So good!!! I tried the Filet Mignon kebabs (5/5) for $22. Meat was cooked perfectly and the sides were fresh and yum!! My bf got the Lamb kebabs (4/5) but the lamb was dry.... Overall great quality food and delicious taste! Would love to try the baklava and ice cream

Kathleen N.

Yelp
Really great food, reasonable prices, nice ambience, and good service. We make the trip in sometimes we're craving some really good grape leaves!

Ben R.

Yelp
Tasty! Healthy! Fun! Mediterranean! This is a long time favorite of mine and many friends. Love getting lamb here. The great deserts. The staff is fun. It has a nice area to eat outside on Lee when the weather is nice, and an exotic atmosphere inside for when it is not! The Baklava is to die for I am told, but I love the rice pudding. Love the Turkish coffee and some lamb chops. A friend loves the Iskender Kebap and chocolate mousse! There is a lot to choose from! Come enjoy an exotic escape from your day!

Raegan G.

Yelp
The food here was delicious, we shared the appetizer sampler, the grape leaves and shepherds salad. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive and gave us great service. We sat outside and had a great experience on the patio; the owner even stopped by our table to check on our experience.

Michelle B.

Yelp
Did wine tasting with the owner My New Year's Eve. What a great experience! My blog, wine sage review, covered all the details but I have to say I can't wait to go back and eat there too. https://winesagereview.wordpress.com/2023/12/31/12943/

Al A.

Yelp
Best Turkish food around. Reminds of my days back in Ankara. Thank you for the great flood and service.

Adrianna U.

Yelp
I went to Anatolia for a friend's birthday. She's vegan, so we wanted to go somewhere with plenty of veggie options which this place is perfect for. I got the shrimp sauté. It tasted pretty good, but in my opinion this place is way overpriced. Overall, i would say I won't come back for dinner. HOWEVER, i will come back for the baklava. wow. it was so good!!! not sure if they make it in-house or from somewhere else.

Chris M.

Yelp
Three of us, late night. The place is very pretty inside and there is a HUGE wood burning fireplace right nest to where we were seated. One had filet mignon medallions which he loved. One had a special for the evening - which he enjoyed! I had Chicken Adana and that was yum! And we shared Baklava and ice cream. The server was excellent and very attentive! All in all, a Turkish delight!

Wendy W.

Yelp
As someone who lived in Turkey for five years, this place has great Mediterranean food! The ambiance is fire-- great decorations and a homey atmosphere. The outdoor seating is casual and roomy, and the indoor space is decked out with artwork from the Anatolia region. The meze platter is a MUST, along with some sort of shawarma or meat & rice combo. Tea after dinner is essential, though sadly it is around $4-5. The service has always been quick and the servers are always kind and patient. We have been there two times and ordered twice and we will continue going! 4/5 stars because certain things seem a bit overpriced, like the tea.

Annie G.

Yelp
The best Turkish food in Cleveland hands-down. The appetizer platter has a wide variety of Turkish options, including hummus, tabouli, baba, etc. the eggplant with sauce appetizer is our favorite, the flavors are amazing. Grape leaves are made from scratch. Not always on menu so you might have the ask. Service is always great. The outdoor patio during the summer months is very nice.

Angelo C.

Yelp
Turkish fare in the Cleveland area isn't exactly abundant, which is why visiting this place was high on my priority list. Located along a bustling stretch of Lee Road, Anatolia Cafe is easily accessible and readily identifiable thanks to distinctive lighting and outdoor seating. As it wasn't very busy, I was quickly seated and given a menu. The interior is warm and intimate, with an array of rugs and other cultural artifacts adorning the walls. This emits a unique vibe that sets the stage for your meal. The server was quite friendly and familiar with the menu, which offered a variety of Turkish fare including lamb, beef, chicken, seafood, yogurt kebabs, and soups and salads. Complementary flatbread is served with every entree and was warm and satisfying. While there are countless tantalizing options from which to choose, I ultimately decided on the Shrimp Shish Kebab - generous helping of skewered shrimp with grilled vegetables with a side of rice. This dish was simply outstanding! You don't have to fly to Istanbul to sample the fragrant and savory sensations of Turkish fare, instead go to Anatolia!

Kate L.

Yelp
Anatolia has yummy food, but in my opinion is a bit overpriced. Great spot for the occasional dinner though! I have been here twice and the food was delicious both times. The chicken kebab was my favorite of the meat options - the meat was so juicy and seasoned deliciously! Highly recommend ordering the falafel too - might be the best I've had in Cleveland. And finally, I usually don't love baklava but the baklava at Anatolia is AMAZING. I need to remember to drop in just to pick some up for dessert sometime :) The atmosphere was great as well, with fun decor and some moving images of pretty views of turkey projected on one wall. The staff was friendly (although 1 meal in our very large party came out pretty late), and we were all overall happy with our experience.

Jennie V.

Yelp
I remember having a pleasant experience several years ago; however, the most recent experience was very bad. My family was there celebrating a special occasion and the entire dining experience was a waste of time and money. Here are the reasons: 1. Service was very slow 2. The portion of our appetizer looked like a tiny sample of romaine lettuce with barely any tabuli. It was not enough for one person, let alone to share. 3. After waiting nearly 45 min-1 hour for our dinner, the waiter said they ran out of one of the meals. So one dinner came out and we did not have the second. 4. Instead of offering to zero out the bill, they overcharged gratuity on our credit card (meaning, we left a cash tip but they also charged a tip to our card without our permission. 5. When trying to speak to the person in charge, he kept interrupting and didn't let me explain the experience. I will never return.

Vivian H.

Yelp
I was quite surprised by how much I enjoyed Anatolia Cafe! It's definitely a date night spot, with ambient lighting and a romantic mood. I ended up getting the Donër and my friends got the chicken kebabs and stuffed eggplant (special- also vegan) as well as an appetizer of hummus and pita bread and a yogurt. We were highly impressed with each and every dish! I would say the meat was slightly under seasoned, but combined with the yogurt, it was incredible. We absolutely stuffed our faces and walked out quite content!

Brian T.

Yelp
Excellent Turkish food! There's comfy patio seating with covered areas. I was a fan of the fried liver and also the stuffed eggplants. There's lots of options on the menu. Portions are a little smaller than I'd prefer, but very reasonable

Annig G.

Yelp
Delicious foods no wait very good service it's a great pick for date nights and we'll be going more often

Joseph D.

Yelp
We stumbled in on a strong recommendation. We were so happy! Food. Service. Ambiance. Anatolia has it all. Do yourself a great favor and visit Anatolia.

Kim K.

Yelp
Had a wonderful dinner next to the fireplace. Our waitress was very friendly. She was not familiar with the choices at the bar. But she was very receptive to checking for us. I had the lamb special dinner. Note that it doesn't come with any rice. So you may want to order pita or rice with it. We also got the Olive appetizer which comes with quite a lot of cheese. The wine selection is small but good.

Stacey B.

Yelp
Food was very good. Service was also good. Menu had many options including some low carb choices.

Ali S.

Yelp
Delicious Mediterranean food! I recently visited Anatolia for the first time and really enjoyed my experience. The staff were very kind to me and my friends. They have a nice variety on their menu, especially with their grilled items. I ordered the mixed grill which comes with a variety of kebabs, rice, and a salad. There was a lot of meat and the salad was light and refreshing. The meat was seasoned very well but still allowed for the quality of the meat to shine. It definitely gave me my protein fix for the day. Their hummus wasn't my favorite but still a solid appetizer if you are in the mood. Check this place out!

Jaxxon C.

Yelp
I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is quite delicious and the service is top notch. People always say that it's too pricey yet I've been to plenty of other restaurants where I spent the same and people didn't complain but the food wasn't as good. The food alone is well worth it let alone the service. I'm looking forward to returning once employed again!

Tim G.

Yelp
Great tasting food and atmosphere. I'd come again no hesitation. The waiter was great with recommendations and polite

Kenneth S.

Yelp
This was the perfect lunch meeting on a Friday. Weather was perfect too for sitting outdoors. The food was top notch to boot.

Cassandra A.

Yelp
So delicious! First time here and we did take out. Ordered the sigara böregi for the appetizer and mixed grill for the main course then of course got the wine!! When I was leaving the waiter ran out to bring me sauces as well so that was really nice of him!! Will go back soon

Kathy D.

Yelp
I came here an hour before they were set to open b/c their Google times were inaccurate but the staff let us in and served us--super accommodating! Only ordered appetizers but the taste and presentation were great and had to have seconds of that Turkish tea! Our server was so nice and knowledgeable about everything.

Tracee P.

Yelp
Dessert run we had balaclava & kunefe this is our favorite place to eat and have dessert.

Amy J.

Yelp
Although $22 for seven cubes of lamb shish kebab over rice with a side of red cabbage is undeniably expensive, at least Anatolia did cook my lamb cubes to medium rare instead of overdone for lamb at well done. For this reason it was delicious- juicy cubes of well seasoned meat- despite the price tag.

Dana E.

Yelp
Had an excellent dinner on their spacious patio this weekend. The Filet Mignon Shish Kebab was the star of the show and cooked perfectly medium. The Mixed Appetizer Plate didn't disappoint nor did the village salad. My husband had the spicy grilled chicken thighs which was also very good but not at all spicy. Make sure you ask for the chili sauce and white sauce on the side to add to your rice both are tasty and just the kick you need for the otherwise plain rice.

Steven B.

Yelp
Amazing that I have not written a review for Anatolia Cafe yet. It is a great restaurant and one of my friend's favorites. Located in the Cedar Lee area, Anatolia has carved out an excellent option for some of the best Mediterranean food available in Cleveland. The decor feels comfortable with enough of a Turkish flavor to make it feel like a mini vacation. There is a very nice patio out front and a couple of dining rooms and a bar room to give you options on where you want to dine. The menu is not huge, but offers some great options. The starters has some really great options. The babaganoush is smooth with a nice smoky flavor and is sided with warm pita pieces for dipping. The calamari is lightly fried and served with a mild white sauce. You can also get the three dips appetizer plate to have as a dinner and the falafel app is also very good. On the dinner side, I usually end up with the shrimp saute or the fish. The shrimp are large perfectly cooked with peppers, onions and mushrooms in a slightly spicy tomato sauce; tasty and satisfying. The fish is usually branzino which is always expertly cooked. On the meat side my friend loves the lamb chops, the stuffed eggplant and the lamb shank when it is available as a special. Overall the food is incredibly well cooked, with simple flavors that are really well done. For dessert you can get your chocolate fix with the mousse, it is a rich dark chocolate mousse on top of a small chocolate cake then covered with ganache; you get a triple chocolate fix that is hard to beat. Service is friendly and professional, they will treat you well. If you are looking for a great dinner Anatolia is a fine option, check them out.

Mary H.

Yelp
I have ordered a lot from this restaurant and have really liked their food. I have accepted the high prices because the food is so good. However, my last order was rediculous. I like to eat a lot of hummus and tabouli. Ordered my usual of that and suddenly this time they were half the size they used to be. Meanwhile they are 9$ a container. Same amount you would get at another restaurant for a small size which should not cost $9dollars. Will be ordering these from another middle eastern restaurant. I can get much bigger portions elsewhere. May stop eating here altogether; now really hard to justify the cost.

Martin B.

Yelp
A reliably good restaurant, excellent food. I've been there many times and I'd recommend it

Rachel C.

Yelp
I have tried Anatolia twice, once for take-out and once for dine-in. It's located on Lee Road and includes indoor as well as outdoor seating. I would recommend any of the dishes that I have tried including hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, chicken kebab, and baklava. The only reason this review is 4/5 as opposed to 5/5 stars is the price range.

Angela G.

Yelp
We came here for Valentine's Day and loved it! The atmosphere feels so authentic and cozy, like you're dining in someone's home. We started with the large appetizer sampler which wasn't on the menu but we saw someone else order it and asked for that. Pricy but you do get a lot. The hummus, tabouli & baba ghanoush were the favorites! For our main we split the mixed grill which was plenty of meat for both of us. All the meats were cooked perfectly with tons of flavor. We ended the meal with kunefe and Turkish coffee which perfectly balances out the sweetness of the cheesy syrupy delicious dessert. Such a lovely little spot :)

Mike W.

Yelp
Always great food but I especially love the Baba Ghanoush. And I'm a big Baba Ghanoush can. The paella and the lamb are a few of the many delicious entrees I've had there. The patio is awesome!

Marina C.

Yelp
Was ok, just nothing special about this place. Not the best Turkish restaurant, just very overage.

Molly M.

Yelp
Tried the Anatolia Cafe on a whim and probably won't be going back. The space is lovely as was the service, but the food was so, so disappointing. I ordered the Iskender, which the menu described as "Thinly sliced grilled lamb topped with hot tomato sauce over pita croutons, melted butter and yogurt." What I got was a plate full of gyro meat slathered in Prego with some stale pita chunks, a watery-tasting grilled tomato, and plain yogurt (not even good thick yogurt, either). If I'd wanted gyro, I'd have gone to the gyro place a block south, paid a lot less money, and gotten a much better meal.

Tiki L.

Yelp
The sevice was five star. The waitstaff was very nice and professional and gave a lot of attention to detail. The sangria was delish. My partner had a turkish martini that was yummy. I ordered the mixed grill. It was good. The only thing is that I wished there was some fusion going on with more vegetables and spices. Highly reccomend it though.

Rita O.

Yelp
This place is one of my favorite places in Cleveland. If not my TOP favorite. The food is always on point, the staff are hospitable. I have never had anything that was not fresh. The chicken sautee and veggie stews are the ultimate comfort food. The filet mignon shish kebab is possibly the best steak I have had, so tender, so moist. The red lentil soup gets 5 stars. The branzino fish comes head to tail, makes me feel like I am eating at some restaurant in the medditeranen. Finally, the chocolate mousse cake is to die for. PS. This is a verified review from a very happy customer!

Lauren J.

Yelp
The lamb Adana was delicious, as were the appetizers we tried: liver cubes, cucumber salad, hummus. Great mixed drinks from the bar too

Ralph M.

Yelp
We'll know ethnic restaurant with a Turkish flare. Partially covered patio on sidewalk. Reasonably attentive and helpful staff. One in our party tried the Turkish wine and was happy with the choice. We loved the baba ganoush appetizer. I did feel that while the quality of the cuts of meat was above average the served meat was much drier than I had hoped for.
