Unfortunately, I had a poor experience here. I went in intending to purchase Blundstones and already knew my size, but the owner insisted on bringing out a pair that was two sizes too large. It took some back-and-forth before I was finally given the size I originally asked for. At that point, I was still unsure about the overall fit and, combined with the service, wanted a bit of time to think. I asked whether they’d be open the next day, since I was staying on the same street and could easily return. The owner’s response was abrupt and unfriendly — he immediately became cold and dismissive, saying only, “I’m open now.” Between the lack of attentive fitting and the unwelcoming attitude, I ultimately chose not to make a purchase and would never return. It’s also worth noting that they sell fairly standard brands you can find almost anywhere (Birkenstocks, Blundstones, etc.), so this isn’t a specialty shop offering hard-to-find items.

Very happy that i was able to find sued Birkenstock gift and the right size, randomly found the shop while walking.. it red front caught my eyes. Also was able to detax the items ☺️

Good selection of garment & accessories, in a ver ivy & preppy kind of way. Which is great. But otherwise, Pierre & his minions are the epitome of toxic masculinity, extremely narrow minded, hating (literally) social media, technology, podcasts and lean telecommunication. Ridiculous attitude and stances, today. I will never go to this shop again. I wonder what the Japanese see in this insufferable pierre!

Had a blast shopping for shoes and clothes, and talking to the great people working here. One of those rare experiences when staff really know the product they sell, and are happy to help and make a conversation, while being honest with you. Highly appreciated, will return.

Best shoes ever. I have been advised by Pierre, the founder. He is an amazing man with a strong vision of what fashion should be: it should fit your body, not the opposite, which we tend to forget. A must for shoes aficionados.

I went to the Birkenstock store on rue de Sévigné, but the store only carries Birkenstocks in narrow widths. The clerk referred me to Anatomica which has been carrying Birkenstocks for many year and is the only store in Paris that carries regular width shoes. We came in and at first I thought I was in the wrong place as we saw men's clothes in the store. But I looked around and saw the Birkenstocks and the clerk affirmed that they do carry regular width ones. He sized my feet and fetched the Birkenstocks I wanted from the stock room. He adjusted the straps of the sandal I wanted and not even five minutes later, I was out of there with new sandals. I have flat feet, so the Birkenstocks should make walking around Paris less fatiguing! The Toms and Sperry I brought with me are just not cutting it for the 6 to 8 miles of walking we're doing everyday. I need more arch support. Thanks Anatomica for saving my feet!
