We had a great experience staying at this property. Sandy went above and beyond during our stay. Great location with easy, free parking! Walking distance to several restaurants (I highly recommend Tugboats) and the Nantucket ferry. Overall, a great stay!

My husband and I chose the Anchor-In for our first weekend alone in a long time, and it was perfect. A close walk to Hyannis shops and breakfast places, a walk or short drive to great restaurants. It was right on the water and there was a beautiful pool. The breakfast was good, the people were really nice and welcoming. It was a great weekend. And it's described as half B&B, half boutique hotel and that's really what it feels like. It was easy to see other people and mingle if you wanted, you felt taken care of, but the rooms were also modern and spacious and gorgeous. Highly recommend.

We wanted to visit Nantucket and Hyannis so we decided to stay at the Anchor In because it was so close to the ferry to Nantucket. It also had good reviews. |We were very pleased with the Anchor In. The staff, especially Mary, were very friendly and helpful. The room very nice and very clean. We had a wonderful view of the harbor from our balcony. |Continental breakfast was very good and coffee/tea and cookies were available at night. |We would definitely recommend the Anchor In.

If you found this review, you probably have also found that finding hotel accommodations on Cape Cod can be challenging. After a pretty exhaustive search, my wife and I settled on the Anchor In and hoped it would be a good experience. From the time we contacted Sandi to confirm our reservation until we drove away, we had nothing but a positive experience. The hotel is well maintained and sufficiently updated for 2025. Sandi and Staff really treat you as if you are their personal guest and take pride in their hotel. Every recommendation for dining was spot on. The breakfast each morning was a welcome surprise. The balconies and harbor views are nice and the courtyard with pool was just the old school Cape Cod type of set up you would expect. The little touches like all of the furniture matching and being in proper order inside and outside are things that make your stay just that much nicer. I also let them know that we were celebrating an anniversary and we had a bottle of prosseco and 2 champagne flutes waiting in our room for us. Main St. and the Harbor are well within walking distance as are several restaurants and bars/ night spots. We walked Main St. one day, walked to the harbor to take a ferry to Nantucket on another. We only took the car to drive to a pizza spot that was recommended and it was GREAT (Crisp *, if you're wondering). So, if you like a nice harbor view, quaint room, great service, and a walkable few days in Hyannis, stay here. If you don't, then don't.

What an absolute gem of a hotel! Beautiful rooms, friendly staff and the stunning views from the pool! I could not recommend this place highly enough. If you are staying in Hyannis- especially if you’re taking the ferry which is literally steps away- do yourself a favor and stay here!!

Google
What an amazing stay! Our room was fantastic, and we loved the nightly wine and cheese. Every staff member we met was courteous, helpful, and polite. It’s also a quick trip to the center of Hyannis, so very convenient!

Google
Hotel stay was far more than excellent, from staff to room cleanliness, beautiful heated pool, gas fire pit and great location!! General Manager Eva Beshay was outstanding! Very informative, over view of hotel, points of local interest and dining! She made us feel so welcome!! |Hotel is conveniente to ferry and downtown Hyannis where there are lots of restaurants! Great experience over all!! |Anchor In is a hidden gem!

We recently spent a night here while attending an event nearby. We really enjoyed our time at The Anchor Inn. Check in went very smoothly and the woman who helped us was wonderful. She was friendly and helpful with our questions about a couple of things about restaurants. Once checked in she showed us the room where breakfast is served and games are available etc. She also showed us the pool area and fire pit (they are both currently closed due to the season). Our room was really nice. It was spotless, had everything we needed and had a nice wrap around deck. Our room had a nice view of the harbor as well. The room was quiet and comfortable. There’s parking in the front, side and back of the buildings. We found it was easy to get to. Downtown was nearby and it only took a few minutes to get to dinner. There are a lot of restaurants, bars and shopping so it’s a great town to park your car and walk around. There’s ferry service to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard from the harbor which is within walking distance of the Inn. (Take a day trip to one of the islands). Definitely recommend staying at The Anchor Inn

Yelp
Great place to stay. I think most rooms have a view of the marina. Nice laid back hotel. We got a room with a surround balcony. I would definitely come back here. The staff are awesome

Yelp
There is absolutely NOTHING about the Anchor In that I would change. If you're looking for a friendly, clean, convenient to everything vacation, look no further. My family had the pleasure of staying at the Anchor In June 15-18th. Upon arrival we were greeted by a wonderful young woman who very politely told us that our room was not ready yet (we arrived around 11am). It was to be expected because check in wasn't until 4pm. She confirmed our contact phone number, told us to enjoy the property and she would call us when it was ready. We took a quick walk around to discover all of the fun things offered. We decided to wonder into town, just a short distance away, to explore the area. As we stopped through the quaint town, our phone rang to let us know our room was ready. A short walk back to the Anchor In and we were ready to check in. During check in we asked if we could get a room that leads out onto the lawn. Unfortunately, the rooms are pre-assigned BUT we were lucky enough to get a room in the exact location we wanted. Next we received a tour of the grounds. I honestly couldn't have been more impressed by the level of customer service thus far as we've stayed in higher priced resorts and never received a personalized tour. The grounds are the iconic image of what you would expect in a coastal community. Tons of lawn games, beautiful pool with a view of the water, Adirondack chairs surrounding a fire pit, an indoor seating area with a view. The location is close enough to walk anywhere and yet just outside of down town Hyannis where you won't have the hustle and bustle of the crowds and loud bars and restaurants. Upon entering our room for the next 3 nights I was very pleasantly surprised at how well appointed it was. The beds were very comfortable and OMG! This place has the BEST water pressure in the shower. I didn't want to get out. Everything was very well maintained and tastefully decorated. Sadly we did have a rainy day during our visit but we were very happy to spend a good portion of it in their library room. This room is beautiful! It offers complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cookies until 11:45pm daily. It's stocked with a large variety of games, giant jenga was our game of choice. Check out day finally came. Although checkout is 11am, we were invited to leave our vehicles in the lot while we went into town for the day. Would we stay here again? Definitely YES! The only thing that I would change is the nominal ($10) fee for the continental breakfast on top of the resort fee.

Yelp
I had a lovely stay here. On the outside, the inn looked more like a motel but the inside was nice. We had a spacious room with a balcony. There was a good amount of natural light since there were a couple sun roofs. My only complaint on the room was the small bathroom where the door didn't close properly. The rest of the room was big and had a little kitchen area, sofa, big TV, and desk. The TV had Netflix, Samsung TV which included a ton of channels, and regular cable. Breakfast was $13 a day. We ended up not getting any breakfast during the stay since it seemed pretty basic. The inn had a nice library where they served coffee, lemonade, and chocolate chip cookies at 3 PM each day. Also a good location and was walking distance to the marina and Main Street.

Yelp
It's hard to tell from the street how beautiful this hotel is! They excel in cleanliness, professionalism, and hospitality! I can't say enough about them. My stay there was because a family member was in the hospital across the street and it was nice to have this gem to return to after a long day. There is a great view of the harbor as well where you can watch the ferry to and from Nantucket all day long.

Yelp
This is the first of seven reviews from a quick visit to Hyannis on Valentine's Day weekend. I hate to write such a good review because I'm afraid it will help result in a price increase and a lack of availability, but the truth is that from the moment I called the office and spoke with Sandy and experienced her warmth, I felt like this hotel was right for me. As it ends up, that feeling was on target. Not only do Sandy and Janet take care of you, but the facility is extremely clean and full of more amenities than you'd expect at the price. In addition, the views of the harbor are beautiful. I know that there are new owners, and I hope they will retain the hotel's charm while keeping it affordable. The next review is for a restaurant named Tumi.

Yelp
This property is a great pick if you would like to experience the cape cod landscape. All rooms come with a balcony overlooking the wharf. Common areas are well kept. Great service from a highly accommodating and respectful staff. Recommend this place for your getaways!

Yelp
Wonderful boutique hotel with a view of an active recreational and commercial harbor. The staff was great and accommodating, both in reservations and in person. The rooms were clean, and had a wonderful shower. Location was close to the Hyannis docks, for easy transport by high-speed boat to both Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Island. Our highest recommendations!

Yelp
Great hotel to stay at on the Cape!! We stayed here for 5 days in October and really liked it. It's not a high end place, but it is definitely very well kept, and won't break the bank. Clean, comfortable, and one of a kind. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning, as well as the fantastic outdoor fire pit they had going every night. Wonderful staff and customer service also! Another thing I thought was pretty cool is they put up flags on their flag pole by the pool representing the countries current guests are from. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
I canceled due to my daughters covid fears for our immuno compromised family members. Hyannis covid #s are through the roof! They charged me a $404 cancelation fee even though the place was booked for my dates. They don't care about Covid or you. Look elsewhere.

Yelp
This was such a cute spot! Me and my boyfriend stayed here two nights. Not only did they give us a complimentary upgrade to a better room (with a private balcony!!) but the lovely woman who checked us in gave us a little tour when we arrived. It was walking distance to downtown which made exploring so convenient. They also let us park our car there a few hours prior to checking in so we were able to take the ferry to Nantucket without paying for additional parking. They have complimentary tea/coffee in a little library with a water view. Oh, and I have to add that this place was SO clean! They got everything right. 10/10 would recommend and we hope to make another trip back this summer.

Yelp
We had a fantastic three night stay at the Anchor-In. Since it was off season (late October) the pool was not open but the fire pit was. The rates were very reasonable, the location perfect and the room just exactly as advertised and very comfortable. We drove to Provincetown (1 hour) early one morning, had a great time hiking, shopping and eating there before stopping in other beautiful towns on the way back. We visited Plymouth, Bourne/Cape Cod Canal, Osterville and did lots of shopping in Hyannis. The room has a great little deck, perfect for morning coffee and afternoon wine and an ideal view of ferries coming and going to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.

Yelp
Fantastic place to stay in Hyannis. The harbor view is beautiful and we loved having our own outdoor space! The Inn is somewhat dated but super clean and the staff was beyond accommodating. Certainly an amazing option to stay during a trip to the Cape!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed in a Harbor View room on the second floor this weekend. The views from the deck were awesome. The staff here is so nice and so accommodating. They checked us in early and weren't rushing us out the next morning. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I had high expectations for this hotel and it did not disappoint ! We visited in April, it was very quiet but did not feel deserted or eerie at all. Sandy, who welcomed us, was very helpful. The room was very clean, the continental breakfast perfect to start the day before taking the ferry to Nantucket (you can park at the hotel and walk to the ferry terminal).

Yelp
I left our Nantucket office last night at 2:30 a.m. and had a long day on the mainland for work. Many stops and waited in line at the SSA for 4 hours to go standby on the 8 pm boat. Long story short, I didn't get on. I was definitely disappointed and drove straight to my home away from home...The Anchor In 1 South Street. Sandi was in the parking lot to say hello and assist as soon as I arrived. Every time I stay here, several times a year, Sandi is here to greet me. This place is warm, comfortable and the staff is so welcoming. Sandi it seems is always here and she is always so friendly, kind and she just makes me feel at home, like family. Thank you Sandi and the Anchor In for being a safe harbor time after time. Best, Steve

Yelp
The Anchor-In is tucked away in Hyannis Harbor, yet centrally located. A short walk will take you to the waterfront, ferries or downtown to tour boats, shops and restaurants. I felt completely relaxed staying here. We stayed here for several days. Some of the rooms have a kitchen area and jacuzzi. We were fortunate enough to have both. The website shows the different room types and they are priced accordingly. The Anchor-In is family owned and they care! The rooms are huge and very clean. They have decks on all the rooms and the views of the marina are spectacular. The ground floor rooms, have patios. For breakfast, they have an enclosed porch area, great for a cup of coffee and a homemade muffin. I loved the lemon poppy seed, but they went fast! off from this is a room to sit and relax by the fireplace and read , use their game boards or watch the giant plasma TV. The town has a great variety of some mighty fine restaurants with good eats and some I have reviewed. The names of the rooms are for towns on Cape Cod and this hotel gives you that old town Cape Cod feeling. As far as I am concerned, this is the best place to stay on the cape. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Rachel K.

Yelp
This hotel a little dated with some stains on the carpet etc but it is quaint with a great view and the location is perfect. They accommodating our late arrival time as well which was very kind. Most of the rooms have a little patio too. The room has a small fridge but no coffee maker. However the lobby has complimentary coffee and tea. They have a marginal breakfast area with oatmeal and such. No on-site laundry either. They have nice robes as well.

Kris R.

Yelp
I've been burned in the past by hotels that look nice in photos and then you get there and it's a disaster. But the Anchor-In is true to the photos. We decided we wanted to do a last-minute trip to the Cape before school started. Due to COVID, our family of 4 had hardly been anywhere in 6 months. Our family truly appreciated the extra effort Anchor-In put into ensuring guests are comfortable staying there. The room was VERY clean, extra towels were left since we didn't require daily service, and it was a great place to stay. Nice view and my kids got a kick out of the ferry and it's horns. We usually rent a house on the Cape but it's nearly impossible to do so for less than a week's stay. We would definitely stay here again. 4 stars because I think the peak price is a bit high, but considering I booked last-minute and the place was CLEAN I'd happily stay and pay it again.

Karen K.

Yelp
I booked this place solely on Google reviews, but the 4.5 star reviews should really be between 3/3.5. I called the hotel before arriving and waited 10 min on the phone before anyone picked up. Finally after waiting, the front desk staff answered and I asked about a fridge and microwave in our room. The front desk staff told us each room had a fridge & that they would get us a microwave (new worker in training). Once we arrived, our room had a microwave, but no fridge. The front desk staff said our room wouldn't have a fridge because it was one of the smaller rooms, which is completely ridiculous for the high price we paid to not have a fridge. However, they promptly found us a brand new fridge which was nice. We were told we would get a basket of toiletries every other day. However, it took 3 phone calls all within 3 hours to finally get the toiletries and we were told it was because the housekeeping staff was taking care of guests checking out. Those sort of excuses should probably be kept between the staff, not told by the staff, especially by a manager. The complimentary breakfast that was listed on their website actually was not complimentary, but cost $12.95. The front office staff's excuse was that their website hadn't been updated since the restaurant was taken over by new management. The hotel had ice, lemonade and coffee readily available but no water which was surprising as most hotels have that available for guests. We also found some water bugs in our bathroom on 2 different days. On the plus side, this property was very quiet, clean and peaceful. You do need to walk atleast 10-15 minutes to restaurants and the ferry, but that wasn't too bad.

Tia K.

Yelp
During the summer of 2021, I was a guest at 7 Hyannis/West Yarmouth hotels/motels. This waterfront hotel offers a classic Cape Cod experience and it was by far, my best stay. I was a guest twice early this season. Both rooms were spacious, clean, offered extras such as a locked safe, provided fluffy soft towels, and were decorated in modern warmth but with a business professional feel. I felt very much at home. The library and kitchen were a nice touch. The continental breakfast options were not impressive but it was early in the season, they may have upgraded later. If spending between $100-$200 per night max for a King, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised!!! Tastefully done spacious room with a balcony overlooking the Harbor! Close to downtown. Spotless wherever you go at the Complex. The Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. A wonderful Family owned business with fantastic Off Season Rates!

Yelp
I stayed at the Anchor In on Dec 28, 2012. I chose it for 2 reasons: 1) it is the hands down favorite of Nantucketers (from whence I hail) and 2) it's proximity to the hospital. I had to have surgery (they are across the street from Cape Cod Hospital). They were so helpful! First, they gave me the Islander discount (which I hadn't asked for because I didn't know it existed), and they said an early check out was no problem. The room (free upgrade...thanks!) was fantastic. Harbor view! Too bad it was December...it would be so nice to be here in Spring-Summer-Fall! I showed up early just to drop off my bag and told Janet I didn't need the early check-in after all and she said the room was ready anyway, per my request, and to go on in! It was like 11:00 am. Janet is super friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast the next morning was great! And a beautiful spot: shiny clean, modern, bright and sunny with the harbor view. Good food and great coffee. Tammy, the breakfast girl, is a treasure too. She greeted everyone, gave local tips, and remembered repeat guests. I am sure to be one.

Yelp
The SO and I have been there a couple times now. We considered going elsewhere, just for variety... but... nah. We've found the Anchor In is always comfortable, quiet, safe, clean, and pleasant. The staff are fantastic and cheerful and ready to help with any request. There's internet, the showers are good, there's a fluffy comforter on the bed and a little fridge in the room. We get our hot beverages and go watch the birds in the harbor. There are a few minor things I wish were otherwise. They renovated recently, and we could smell it, but we opened the sliding doors in the room and the smell dissipated enough. The rooms are a little on the small side, but we spend most of our visit outside so who cares. I also wish they served a full breakfast - not much they can do about that, I know, as they don't have the kitchen for it. They do a great continental breakfast, at least. In general, though, it has what we're looking for, we enjoy staying there, and we'll definitely be back. [I should note that we've only been there off-season - maybe it is a different story during the summer, especially with the ferry so close by.]

Deidra L.

Yelp
I am deeply disappointed with this hotel. I was planning a girls weekend and we were excited for a relaxing weekend and to stay in the area. I was very offended when the night manager Chris said that we should know we will be watched very closely and he wouldn't recommend this hotel to us, even telling me they didn't need the business and disrespectfully laughing when I asked to speak to the manager. He treated me as though I was a child. Also, hearing a man say that he is going to watch a group of girls very closely makes me extremely uncomfortable and feel unsafe. I have never been treated like this when booking a hotel in my life. I ended up writing an email to the hotel and the owner sent me an email two days later saying that this behavior was okay with him. Would definitely not recommend anyone to stay here especially since as they say they do not need the business. Awful service.

Yelp
The no doubt best place to stay in Hyannis. Beautiful rooms, perfect location to ferries & Main St. Staff is so helpful & accommodating. We extended our stay 5 days just to stay here.

Michelle A.

Yelp
Great location and awesome views. Nicely furnished and super clean. Attentive staff and perfect private deck looking at the marina. Only drawback is there is a rental house next door that was blasting music from morning until night so loud you can hear it even if you are running the tv in your room. Not the hotel's fault but it made sleeping difficult. But will definitely come again.

J D.

Yelp
I'm giving Anchor In five stars because it is exactly what it advertises itself to be and they are great at what they do. The property is immaculately cared for, the landscaping is beautiful, a very nice harbor view, the location is perfect in regards to seeing the local sights, and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly (especially Sandy). Anchor In advertises a deluxe continental breakfast. It is certainly deluxe: Bagels, muffins, cereals, granola, yogurt, assorted fresh fruits, cheese and deli meats, coffee, tea & juices. The rooms were very nice with a harbor view balcony. Very clean. Central AC controlled by management, but comfortable. Beds were awesome with assorted pillow types. The rooms aren't huge, but my wife and I with our young adult daughter were very comfortable. Rooms have a safe, iron & ironing board. Excellent housekeeping service. From this location, it's about an hour drive to Provincetown (tip of the Cape); It's about 75-90 minutes to Boston. It's a 5 minute walk to the Nantucket & Martha's Vineyard ferries (the hotel staff can make your paid reservations with an hour's notice). There are also excellent restaurants within a 10 minute walk. I recommend the Black Cat Tavern. If you are looking for a full service, five star resort hotel with bars, restaurants and room service, this isn't your place. If you're looking for a quaint, comfortable, clean, nice property with an excellent view, location and staff, you will not be disappointed with the Anchor In.

Yelp
Fantastic! Location-wise it's fantastic, walking distance to Main St, Ocean St restaurant etc Pool area overlooks the harbor - incredibly peaceful. We stayed over 4/7 holiday in the Barnstable Room which was a top floor room and had huge sun deck plus king bed, kitchen and lots of room. Breakfast included was beautiful. Absolutely recommend for a stay in Hyannis.

Yelp
We spent 2 weeks here in June of 2016 with our then 14 month old daughter and really enjoyed our stay. She was napping twice a day so we had to stay in the hotel quite a bit. It was perfect, the baby monitor had a great signal by the pool so my husband and I really got to rest and relax this trip. The little one enjoyed the warmed pool even on the cooler days. The staff was helpful and friendly. It was a short walk to all the nearby restaurants. The rooms were a good size for all of our things, clean and had a beautiful view. Everything was quiet and peaceful. Just what we needed!

Yelp
off season one night getaway, Booked online for a certain King Room, it took my reservation and $$ no problem and it confirmed but when I showed up to the hotel I was informed they tried to get a hold of me and that room was no longer available and I was put in a handicap accessible room. Didn't really have choice at that point it was late in the day I had not looked into other places so I accepted it. Felt I should have been offered something off the room even if small just as a gesture but let that go, View is nice, what was not nice is how thin the walls are. Running water from next room over, seemed like pipes from the whole place ran through our section or room walls. It was loud all NIGHT, not people yelling loud just the water pipes and such, Rooms were very clean and bed comfy but nothing special for the price we paid off season, Hampton Inn or other major chain for 1/2 the price would have been a better go to. Bottom line, nothing special for the $$ especially off season. Lame breakfast to. The Covid excuse needs to stop at these places. no reason even with Covid better options are not available. Cereal bars, fruit and coffee that was it!

Jeff W.

Yelp
I give it 2 stars because it was not worth the $445 we had to pay and I know we were a bit of pain trying to get in early, but didn't find the staff to be friendly at all. With that said. Very quiet place and great location.

Yelp
Great service and nice people! Good place to relax and enjoy the harbor view. They have a fire pit at night and breakfast each morning was good!

Yelp
I found a coupon on www.roomsaver.com advertising a walk-in rate for the Anchor In of $99 plus tax. The coupon is good on same day walk-ins only and is valid through 8/31/10. Use of the coupon is subject to room availability. I called the Anchor In today (2 days prior to my anticipated use of the coupon) to inquire as to how many rooms they currently had available for Thursday, 8/19. I wanted to gauge whether my odds for walking in on Thursday were favorable. I was not attempting to make an advance reservation. I was told as of the time of my phone call that there were 4 rooms still available. I told the person I spoke to that my intent was to use the coupon on Thursday if they had a room available. The woman said hold on and transferred me to one of the owners, a Mr. Simpson. When Mr. Simpson got on the phone, he told me that the coupon was not valid. I directed him to the roomsaver.com website and he saw the exact coupon that I was looking at. Mr. Simpson then said that there must be some mistake, because the coupon was only supposed to be valid through the Spring. I kindly pointed out that despite an alleged mistake, the coupon was still blatantly advertised on the website and should be honored, obviously subject to availability of rooms on the day in question. Mr. Simpson again said that it wasn''t a valid coupon. I then asked point blank "If I come to your establishment on Thursday and you have a room available, will you or will you not honor this coupon"? Mr. Simpson said very clearly, "No, I will not." I totally understand that mistakes happen, but Mr. Simpson was completely rude and unapologetic. I told him that he was engaging in false and deceptive advertising, an illegal practice in the Commonwealth. I will not frequent this business.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Conveniently located. The rooms are large and clean. The whole property is well-kept and spotless. The whole inn has a nice quiet vibe to it, very comfortable The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Will definitely be back. Highly highly recommended

David S.

Yelp
I stayed here on Thanksgiving weekend, the room we were assigned had the smell of someone had been smoking in it. There is no smoking on the property. The staff moved us to a beautiful suite with no extra charge. It was very thoughtful of them. I stay here at least one week-end out of the year, very clean and well groomed property.

Debbie C.

Yelp
A very charming place to stay - close to town and restaurants, right in the harbor, clean rooms, good free breakfast. The registration people are very friendly and helpful. All the rooms around the pool have a balcony overlooking the pool and the harbor, so I would recommend one of those versus the rooms that are off the parking lot. I don't know if those are smaller (cheaper), have kitchenettes, etc., but I would not want to stay in one of those as they have no view. At about 7 p.m. each night, they light the fire pit down by the harbor and my husband and I took a cocktail down there and enjoyed the fire for quite some time. It was a lovely evening. I would definitely stay here again.

Bruce S.

Yelp
Wonderful! My wife and I stayed only 1 night and regretted it when we had to leave. From the moment we arrived Craig at the desk made us feel welcome and gave us a tour of the In.The room was clean with a balcony. We sat and watched the boats come and go,as well as watch individuals, and families launch and take personal boats, jet skiis, and even a huge speed boat out of the water. The heated pool overlooks the harbor, totally relaxing and picturesque. At night a fire pit is lit ,which overlooks the harbor, relaxing, and warmed a cool evening. A short walk(less then a mile) to town.Breakfast was included ,delicious and abundant.Upon leaving we were given a goodie bag of taffy and water. Would we retrurn to Anchor -In? ABSOLUTELY! We are planning to return next summer.

Janette H.

Yelp
What a charming little hotel! Staff was very friendly and helpful. I stayed in the month of May and unfortunately, it rained most of my stay. However, the room was very cozy and quite comfortable. The morning breakfast was such an added treat with fresh coffee offered all day long. I will say that the hotel is far removed from the city so you can take a long walk or taxi. We opted for walking and taking a bus into Chatam which had many restaurants and shopping. I would recommend the Anchor-In.

Yelp
We recently enjoyed several nights at Anchor In with our grandson, and had a wonderful stay. Our room was large and comfortable with a fantastic view of the harbor. The staff accomodated several requests, friendly and so helpful. Anchor In and their staff made our trip to Cape Cod a truly memorable experience!

Yelp
We stumbled on this oasis while looking for a place to stay with power after a blizzard took out our heat, electricity, internet and phone. The rates were quite reasonable, the people very helpful, the room comfortable and cozy. There is a lovely library where you can sit and have tea, a generous breakfast, and a bonus of a lovely harbor view. We will recommend his place to visitors!

Yelp
This hotel is a great find. The air bath room is very nicely appointed and the rest of the hotel has a great ambiance. The check-in staff is extremely welcoming and truly made us feel welcome. Looking forward to spending some time there this summer!

Yelp
What a great experience. From the moment we walked into the lobby, we never wanted to leave. The location is amazing, the interiors of the lobby and walkways, including the study room were breathtaking and made you feel like you were on a harbor, which you were! Although it was cold outside and we didn't get to experience the pool and the decks that come with each room, we were amazed by how clean and beautiful the rooms were and how well taken care of they are. The shower itself was to die for! You can tell the owners and staff take very good care of their hotel and pay attention to detail. Will definitely visit again and recommend it to everyone!

Yelp
The Anchor In is a great place to stay. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. They have different types of rooms, regular to suites and all the rooms are great. Their pricing is a bit high but reasonable during the off season. Highly recommend staying here!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the Anchor In for 2 nights for our 'babymoon.' We really enjoyed our time there. It was very relaxing which is just what we wanted. Sandy at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. Everything was very clean. The Anchor In is in a great location. Beautiful views along the water and convenient to many different places to eat. The continental breakfast was better than we expected. There were bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit and eggs.

Yelp
After doing a search on the internet and seeing all the positive reviews we decided to book time here for our honeymoon. They EXCEEDED our expectations with exceptional service, a very clean room. nice staff and overall a great experience. It was very clean, well kept and a good location. The Breakfast was fresh with attentive service. The view was interactive and fun. It was great having a private deck with a nice sized room, comfy bed, clean linens, towels and all the amenities. HIGHLY recommended.

Yelp
We just got back from a weekend on the Cape & chose to stay at the Anchor-In. We picked this place because they had great off-season rates. The hotel was beautiful & very clean. The rooms were bright & clean. The free breakfast in the morning was really nice & the view is amazing. The employees are friendly & helpful. We will definitely stay there again!

Yelp
This hotel made our trip. Although pricey, we really enjoyed staying her and it definitely made our stay in Hyannis fantastic. It seems that Hyannis' best years may have been in the past as there are a lot of run down and closed down store fronts throughout the town. This hotel is really in the best part of Hyannis. It is a close walk to many restaurants and about a 10 minute walk to Main St. The best part was the proximity to the ferry boats, as it was roughly 100 yards away from the Steamboat Authority. Parking for the ferry's is about $25, so we were able to save this money being so close. The morning breakfast was very nice and the staff was courteous. We had a deluxe room and it was very large, clean, and had a nice view of the harbor. The pool was heated and also had a nice view of the harbor. My favorite feature of the hotel was the fire pit that guests would sit around and share their experiences of the day. It gave us some great ideas of things to do. If coming back to Hyannis, I would only stay here.

Yelp
Decided to have an over night getaway so we decided on here. We had a room with a stand alone air bath. The room was beautiful with the tub and bar area. The staff was great. The only issue was we had was getting the TV to work. Its far away from the main drag of Hyannis and by the water which is nice since it is pretty seedy on the main strip. Had breakfast in the indoor porch area. We would like to go again and stay longer next time.
