Such a beautiful place! Every time we return, there is something new added or improved. The hotel is lovely. Most comfortable beds and pillows, beautiful artwork and just a super cozy feel. The restaurant is absolutely incredible. I always feel like I’m returning home when I stay at the Anchor Inn and dine at Georgie’s. The staff know you by name and it’s truly a gem in one of my most favourite places on the island.

We were here in early June 2024 and enjoyed our stay up in The Annex and the double bed room I had picked with a view of the harbour. The beds were comfy and were both topped with a beautiful quilted runner. We had a microwave, mini fridge, two luggage racks, a nice clean bathroom with lots of towels. We ate at their restaurant, Georgies, and enjoyed the atmosphere and tasty food. I'll leave a review in that site. This was our first trip to Newfoundland and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Firstly, the location is near perfect! At the end of a quiet street with a fantastic view of the harbour. The room was very tidy and well laid out; it also had a 'homey' charm that most hotel don't have. Very comfortable! The staff are very friendly and approachable; easy to chat with. Definitely worth a visit!

Handicap friendly with nice rooms, friendly & efficient staff, and a great location.|We spent a day going to the Fogo Ferry, and back in time for the dinner theatre. Very handy and the pub downstairs at the Inn had great music to top off the day.

Had a great stay at the Anchor Inn for the RockCut race weekend! Super close to the race start line. Room was clean and quiet, and the view of the harbour was beautiful!

Stayed one night, next time will be 2 nights. Will be making it a once a year visit because it was all good. The views around town are worth walking around to see . The pub and entertainment are also worth a visit in the inn lower level. A great view from restaurant making a reserved table might just get you a windows table.? Worth asking for sure.

I cannot convey how much we enjoyed our stay at the Anchor Inn! Georgie’s restaurant and the Captain’s pub are located on site and both have great service and fare. We really enjoyed the onsite live music at the pub - an authentic Newfoundland experience. The location of the inn is right in town and offers great views of the ocean. Regarding the room, it was lovely - clean and crisp linens and bedding (which is important to me) as well as modern furnishings with a fridge and great shower (with good water pressure). Housekeeping was also very flexible when we asked for a later time to have our room made up. The only reason I didn’t give the rooms a 5 is that the bathroom door stuck a bit and the hot water took a bit to get going. One last note: we arrived in Twillingate and were actually booked at a B and B. When arriving, the property was unfortunately substandard and not as advertised. Long story short, we were not comfortable there and decided that we needed to change our accommodation. Finding the Anchor Inn changed the whole trajectory of our time in Twillingate. It was truly a lovely stay - thank you!

Arrived early, and our room in the Annex wasn't ready, so we walked the town. It was a very warm day. Came back and checked in to find our room stiffling; the AC unit in the room was out. They got it going, but we expect to enter a cool room on a hot day. Also, the building is old, so you hear every step of other guests up the stairs or down the halls, and it is very difficult to close the door when departing without almost slamming it. Nice view from the deck though!!
