Anchor Motel Noosa

There is a welcome letter in your room when arriving that has a number to contact, if you do have any issues day-of please do text it. My partner and I felt like it was not clear that there was someone onsite; when we noticed the issues it was fairly late and did not want to bother someone offsite.||The wifi did not work at all during our stay, which was a bummer as international travelers with limited data. Then we went down to enjoy the spa, which was the whole reason we booked it, and it was cold. We turned the jets on but there was no sign of it getting warmer. When I emailed the next morning, they said I should have texted in the moment (fair, although I sincerely don't think that spa could have gotten hot enough that night). The rooms were spacious and clean and nice, other than these issues we did really like the place. The spa being cold was just a huge bummer.

Jan was very welcoming and friendly.Rooms are large, beds comfortable and very clean.This was a last minute booking and we were very happy with value for money for this accommodation.

If I could give this place a negative star rating I would. We had a family friend drop off a bassinet for our daughter on the Friday arvo. All ok they left it in our room which was so nice. Come Monday morning we were checking out so I arranged to hopefully leave it at reception for my friend to pick up. The “owner” comes to reception, I say good morning with no reply. I asked her if it was ok to leave here for my friend to collect. She was the most vile person I have ever met. Incredibly rude and dismissive. I can’t believe how rube she was, told me to just leave it on the street. A simple request most people would find ok. It’s disappointing because we loved the place but will never come back and also spread the word.

We loved it here. Ended up staying an extra night. Pool was lovely. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff where really nice and helpful. Good parking. Lovely private balcony space. Would recommend

Large spotlessly clean room, on main road but no traffic noise. Room and entire property well maintained. Kara on front desk kindly let us into room at midday and personally inspected the room herself which had just been prepared. Best room we have had since leaving Brisbane 5 days ago. Easily worth the $180 we paid. Single bed in room also. Would definitely stay again.

Room felt it had no sound insulation, we heard a lot of the noise coming from the road. Parking spots should be numbered and marked as at night, we almost could not park since people didn’t park well and space is very tight

We stayed in a deluxe room this past weekend. The room was very clean and comfortable. I was impressed to find a microwave, toaster and crockery/cutlery, in addition to the standard bar fridge and tea/coffee facilities. For 4-star accommodation I expected nicer linen; the towels were of average quality and rough and the sheets were in good condition but thin. I liked the mounted squeeze bottles of shampoo and body wash, and hand wash in the bathroom. The water pressure - particularly coming from Brisbane - was divine! The property has a pool and spa, which we unfortunately didn't have time to try. It is situated at the front of the property and while nicely maintained, there is no shade or privacy, which detracts from the appeal. Overall I was happy with our stay, but the overall ambiance of the place could do with some work. I would probably consider this place again for a short-stay, but if I were taking a longer holiday I would want to stay somewhere a bit more lush.

Most of the reviews I read on another site were positive (as is Lonely Planet's) but there were a handful admonishing bad hosting. The accommodation is more like a hotel than a motel - new furniture, furnishings and finishes - with the added bonus of crockery & cutlery. The room is spacious, modern, immaculately clean. The bed is comfortable and firm and the hosts are lovely. Across the road from Lake Weyba, the Anchor Motel makes for very affordable and comfortable Noosa accommodation.
