"Boaters looking to trade the open seas for dry land have plenty of reasons to dock at Union Island’s Anchorage Yacht Club. The 1975 stalwart, which was renovated in 2018, offers a collection of understated rooms and cottages overlooking a small marina and white-sand beach, where you can catch some serious airtime during a three-day kitesurfing intensive at the on-site center. Don’t have a skiff of your own? The staff can arrange for catamaran tours of nearby Tobago Cays or deep-sea fishing trips for mahi, tuna, and amberjack, all of which make appearances at the hotel’s waterfront restaurant depending on the daily catch. Before you turn in for the night, order a rum punch under the stars at the thatched-roof bar next door."

"A popular stop for boaters, the AYC Bar and Restaurant serves all day long, starting with fresh-baked bread and pastries in the morning, then moving on to sandwiches and salads during the day and a full menu of local fish, fresh pasta, and excellent burgers in the evening. The menu incorporates locally grown ingredients and lobster when in season, as well as tropical cocktails and an extensive selection of rums. Here, it’s all about relaxed, waterside dining, with the bar staying open until “the last man standing will not stand no more.”"

This is a special place. Please note that the Anchorage Yacht Club is no longer an operating hotel. Palm Island owns the property and leases part of it out to JT Pro Center kite beach hotel. The restaurant/bar is closed. Hopefully they reopen the rest of the hotel soon. Kite beach hotel is also awesome, but on a separate Maps listing.

I spent 10 days in one of the seafront bungalow rooms. Rooms are clean with a comfortable bed, AC, and a lovely view from a private outdoor seating area. There is a good continental breakfast included in the rate which is served on an outdoor terrace overlooking the harbour - the selection was simple but there were fabulous home cooked pastries and fresh fruit. The highlight however was the warm and friendly staff. The location was great for whatever might bring you to Union, near the kite surfing beach and the town centre.

We were surprisingly welcomed with drinks and huge smiles in the driveway before we even got off the shuttle. We stayed at the Kite Beach Cottage which was spotless. The view of the Beach Kite Surfers from the laying on our bed was truly breathtaking. Just a short walk to everything! Highly recommend to couples. Oh and Melissa(very professional and pleasant)booked us and our tour to other islands with Yannis... a must do!

I recently spent a couple of nights here and enjoyed myself very much. The hotel is nicely located on the marina with good views over the yachts and ferries from the balcony of my room. I arrived later than I expected having travelled from Carriacou on the Lady JJ. It was dark by the time I had passed through immigration at the airport, nevertheless the hotel sent their Security guard to escort me to the hotel. Once there they kindly dispensed with the formal registration details, gave me a rum punch and my keys as they knew I had had a long day. Continental breakfast was included in my deal, which was very good, I particularly enjoyed the pastries still warm from the oven. The overall service was friendly and informal throughout. I would certainly recommend and will stay there again when I return to the island.

Don't expect 5 star accommodation but the welcome and friendliness of the staff surpass anything else you might of experienced. Accommodation was clean and tidy but a bit basic but that is all part of the laid back Caribbean Islands. If it did't have this then why are you here. Take a stroll into the village only a short walk nothing special but you might find something you didn't know you wanted. It's also a laugh to play a game on the pool as it's a bit wonky it makes for a interesting challenge. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choice.

Nice place to relax and have a drink, fill up and provision. Do great cocktails. Dock is great, rooms simple and clean. In the middle of everything. Just wish they wouldn't have nurse sharks trapped in their little lagoon, was told there was some there but didn't see any. Hopefully don't do it anymore.

Rooms where basic and clean with great views right on the water. Staff was incredibly friendly. Food was expensive for how simple it was and a lot of it was overcooked. Great spot if your focus is on Kiteboarding, probably not the place to stay if you're just looking for a relaxing Beach vacation.
