Anchors Aweigh - Narooma

An absolutely brilliant stay at Anchors in early November. Room clean and tidy, hosts keen to make everything transparent and clear, and the breakfast on the outdoor deck following a good nights sleep was superb. Brilliant value for money and a highly recommended place to stay for those looking for a quiet and relaxing stop-over.

There seems a shortage of true guesthouses in Australia, so an opportunity for a real hospitable bed and breakfast rather than a motel or AirBNB was very welcome. Comfortable room, engaging if highly eccentric decor (where else does a model train travel overhead in the lounge, if requested?), convenient location for a walk in Narooma and an excellent range of breakfast options. We hope to have an opportunity to stay there again.

Old world charm! Very attentive service, nothing was too much trouble. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast choice and quality were very good. Well located for what Narooma has to offer.very quiet location.

Had a really lovely stay! Great location, very close to Murray's Bus Stop. Loved our room--beautiful view from the balcony. Heather and Kerry gave us a lot of great recommendations and really went above and beyond to help us have a wonderful weekend despite some windy weather canceling what we had planned. Would highly recommend staying here!

We stayed only one night but were looked after so we'll. The room we had was spacious and very well appointed with everything needed. Good bathroom. And what qw think is a perfect location on a quiet street but very easy walking distance to town and food. And talking of food we had a super breakfast - lots of choices from healthy to indulgent Throughly recommended

Stayed two nights in May 2024. Kerry greeted us on arrival and could not have been more helpful and attentive. Room was large and spotless with a magnificent bedhead I believe designed by Heather. We also had a great view. Breakfast was multiple courses, had plenty of choice and cooked perfectly. A great way to start the day. The small details that make a stay enjoyable/memorable were all thought of and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended and will stay again.

Wonderful two night stay at this lovely guest house. Heather and Kerry are great hosts who really go the extra mile with lots of little touches that make all the difference. We stayed in Room 1 (there’s only 5 rooms) which was one of the best rooms we’ve stayed in, in Australia. The room was immaculate and spacious with a huge comfy bed. Lovely spa bath in the bathroom. Very large balcony with sea views and plenty of furniture. Fabulous full breakfast was included too which is cooked by Heather and personally served to your table by Kerry. Highly recommend this place.

Stayed here for one night after diving with the seals and we were very much looked after. The rooms are cozy and comfortable and the hosts couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommend!
